drm/amd/display: Avoid NULL dereference in dc_dmub_srv error paths

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Avoid NULL dereference in dc_dmub_srv error paths In dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data() and dc_dmub_srv_enable_dpia_trace(). Both functions check: if (!dc_dmub_srv || !dc_dmub_srv->dmub) and then call DC_LOG_ERROR() inside that block. DC_LOG_ERROR() uses dc_dmub_srv->ctx internally. So if dc_dmub_srv is NULL, the logging itself can dereference a NULL pointer and cause a crash. Fix this by splitting the checks. First check if dc_dmub_srv is NULL and return immediately. Then check dc_dmub_srv->dmub and log the error only when dc_dmub_srv is valid. Fix

    tcp: Add preempt_{disable,enable}_nested() in reqsk_queue_hash_req().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: Add preempt_{disable,enable}_nested() in reqsk_queue_hash_req(). syzbot reported a weird reqsk->rsk_refcnt underflow in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop(). The captured reqsk_put() in __inet_csk_reqsk_queue_drop() is called only when it successfully removes reqsk from ehash. Moreover, reqsk_timer_handler() calls another reqsk_put() after that. This indicates that the reqsk was missing both refcnts for ehash and the timer itself. Since all the syzbot reports had PREEMPT_RT enabled, the only possible scenario is that reqsk_queue_hash_req() is preempted after mod_timer() a

xsk: cache csum_start/csum_offset to fix TOCTOU in xsk_skb_metadata()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: cache csum_start/csum_offset to fix TOCTOU in xsk_skb_metadata() The TX metadata area resides in the UMEM buffer which is memory-mapped and concurrently writable by userspace. In xsk_skb_metadata(), csum_start and csum_offset are read from shared memory for bounds validation, then read again for skb assignment. A malicious userspace application can race to overwrite these values between the two reads, bypassing the bounds check and causing out-of-bounds memory access during checksum computation in the transmit path. Fix this by reading csum_start and csum_offset into

gpio: rockchip: fix generic IRQ chip leak on remove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: rockchip: fix generic IRQ chip leak on remove The driver allocates domain generic chips using irq_alloc_domain_generic_chips() during probe. However, on driver remove/teardown, the generic chips are not automatically freed when the IRQ domain is removed because the domain flags do not include IRQ_DOMAIN_FLAG_DESTROY_GC. This causes both the domain generic chips structure and the associated generic chips to be leaked. Additionally, the generic chips remain on the global gc_list and may later be visited by generic IRQ chip suspend, resume, or shutdown callbacks after t

wifi: ath11k: fix memory leaks in beacon template setup

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: fix memory leaks in beacon template setup The functions ath11k_mac_setup_bcn_tmpl_ema() and ath11k_mac_setup_bcn_tmpl_mbssid() allocate memory for beacon templates but fail to free it when parameter setup returns an error. Since beacon templates must be released during normal execution, they must also be released in the error handling paths to prevent memory leaks. Fix this by using unified exit paths with proper cleanup in the respective error paths. Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool and code review.

wifi: mt76: Fix memory leak after mt76_connac_mcu_alloc_sta_req()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: Fix memory leak after mt76_connac_mcu_alloc_sta_req() mt76_connac_mcu_alloc_sta_req() allocates an skb which is expected to be freed eventually by mt76_mcu_skb_send_msg(). However, currently if an intermediate function fails before sending, the allocated skb is leaked. Specifically, mt76_connac_mcu_sta_wed_update() and mt76_connac_mcu_sta_key_tlv() may fail, leading to an immediate memory leak in the error path. Fix this by explicitly freeing the skb in these error paths. Commit 7c0f63fe37a5 ("wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix memory leak on mt7996_mcu_sta_key_tlv error

bpf: Fix linked reg delta tracking when src_reg == dst_reg

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix linked reg delta tracking when src_reg == dst_reg Consider the case of rX += rX where src_reg and dst_reg are pointers to the same bpf_reg_state in adjust_reg_min_max_vals(). The latter first modifies the dst_reg in-place, and later in the delta tracking, the subsequent is_reg_const(src_reg)/reg_const_value(src_reg) reads the post-{add,sub} value instead of the original source. This is problematic since it sets an incorrect delta, which sync_linked_regs() then propagates to linked registers, thus creating a verifier-vs-runtime mismatch. Fix it by just skipping thi

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix ld_{abs,ind} failure path analysis in subprogs Usage of ld_{abs,ind} instructions got extended into subprogs some time ago via commit 09b28d76eac4 ("bpf: Add abnormal return checks."). These are only allowed in subprograms when the latter are BTF annotated and have scalar return types. The code generator in bpf_gen_ld_abs() has an abnormal exit path (r0=0 + exit) from legacy cBPF times. While the enforcement is on scalar return types, the verifier must also simulate the path of abnormal exit if the packet data load via ld_{abs,ind} failed. This is currently not t

bpf: Fix use-after-free in offloaded map/prog info fill

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix use-after-free in offloaded map/prog info fill When querying info for an offloaded BPF map or program, bpf_map_offload_info_fill_ns() and bpf_prog_offload_info_fill_ns() obtain the network namespace with get_net(dev_net(offmap->netdev)). However, the associated netdev's netns may be racing with teardown during netns destruction. If the netns refcount has already reached 0, get_net() performs a refcount_t increment on 0, triggering: refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free. Although rtnl_lock and bpf_devs_lock ensure the netdev pointer remains valid, they canno

bpf: Fix same-register dst/src OOB read and pointer leak in sock_ops

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix same-register dst/src OOB read and pointer leak in sock_ops When a BPF sock_ops program accesses ctx fields with dst_reg == src_reg, the SOCK_OPS_GET_SK() and SOCK_OPS_GET_FIELD() macros fail to zero the destination register in the !fullsock / !locked_tcp_sock path. Both macros borrow a temporary register to check is_fullsock / is_locked_tcp_sock when dst_reg == src_reg, because dst_reg holds the ctx pointer. When the check is false (e.g., TCP_NEW_SYN_RECV state with a request_sock), dst_reg should be zeroed but is not, leaving the stale ctx pointer: - SOCK_OPS_

fs/ntfs3: fix missing run load for vcn0 in attr_data_get_block_locked()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix missing run load for vcn0 in attr_data_get_block_locked() When a compressed or sparse attribute has its clusters frame-aligned, vcn is rounded down to the frame start using cmask, which can result in vcn != vcn0. In this case, vcn and vcn0 may reside in different attribute segments. The code already handles the case where vcn is in a different segment by loading its runs before allocation. However, it fails to load runs for vcn0 when vcn0 resides in a different segment than vcn. This causes run_lookup_entry() to return SPARSE_LCN for vcn0 since its segment wa

ksmbd: fix use-after-free in smb2_open during durable reconnect

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix use-after-free in smb2_open during durable reconnect In smb2_open, the call to ksmbd_put_durable_fd(fp) drops the reference to the durable file descriptor early during the durable reconnect process. If an error occurs subsequently (eg, ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp fails) or a scavenger accesses the file, it leads to a use-after-free when accessing fp properties (eg fp->create_time). Move the single put to the end of the function below err_out2 so fp stays valid until smb2_open returns.

af_unix: Drop all SCM attributes for SOCKMAP.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Drop all SCM attributes for SOCKMAP. SOCKMAP can hide inflight fd from AF_UNIX GC. When a socket in SOCKMAP receives skb with inflight fd, sk_psock_verdict_data_ready() looks up the mapped socket and enqueue skb to its psock->ingress_skb. Since neither the old nor the new GC can inspect the psock queue, the hidden skb leaks the inflight sockets. Note that this cannot be detected via kmemleak because inflight sockets are linked to a global list. In addition, SOCKMAP redirect breaks the Tarjan-based GC's assumption that unix_edge.successor is always alive, which

ksmbd: fix FSCTL permission bypass by adding a permission check for FSCTL_SET_SPARSE

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix FSCTL permission bypass by adding a permission check for FSCTL_SET_SPARSE FSCTL_SET_SPARSE in fsctl_set_sparse() modifies the file's sparse attribute and saves it through xattr without any permission checks. This exposes two issues: 1) A client on a read-only share can change the sparse attribute on files it opened, even though the share is read-only. Other FSCTL write operations already check test_tree_conn_flag(work->tcon, KSMBD_TREE_CONN_FLAG_WRITABLE), but FSCTL_SET_SPARSE does not. 2) Even on writable shares, clients without FILE_WRITE_DATA or

    mm/vmalloc: take vmap_purge_lock in shrinker

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/vmalloc: take vmap_purge_lock in shrinker decay_va_pool_node() can be invoked concurrently from two paths: __purge_vmap_area_lazy() when pools are being purged, and the shrinker via vmap_node_shrink_scan(). However, decay_va_pool_node() is not safe to run concurrently, and the shrinker path currently lacks serialization, leading to races and possible leaks. Protect decay_va_pool_node() by taking vmap_purge_lock in the shrinker path to ensure serialization with purge users.

iommu/vt-d: Clear Present bit before tearing down context entry

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Clear Present bit before tearing down context entry When tearing down a context entry, the current implementation zeros the entire 128-bit entry using multiple 64-bit writes. This creates a window where the hardware can fetch a "torn" entry — where some fields are already zeroed while the 'Present' bit is still set — leading to unpredictable behavior or spurious faults. While x86 provides strong write ordering, the compiler may reorder writes to the two 64-bit halves of the context entry. Even without compiler reordering, the hardware fetch is not guaranteed to

netfilter: nft_counter: serialize reset with spinlock

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_counter: serialize reset with spinlock Add a global static spinlock to serialize counter fetch+reset operations, preventing concurrent dump-and-reset from underrunning values. The lock is taken before fetching the total so that two parallel resets cannot both read the same counter values and then both subtract them. A global lock is used for simplicity since resets are infrequent. If this becomes a bottleneck, it can be replaced with a per-net lock later.
