    pmdomain: core: Fix detach procedure for virtual devices in genpd

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: core: Fix detach procedure for virtual devices in genpd If a device is attached to a PM domain through genpd_dev_pm_attach_by_id(), genpd calls pm_runtime_enable() for the corresponding virtual device that it registers. While this avoids boilerplate code in drivers, there is no corresponding call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach(). This means these virtual devices are typically detached from its genpd, while runtime PM remains enabled for them, which is not how things are designed to work. In worst cases it may lead to critical errors, like a NULL p

    mtd: docg3: fix use-after-free in docg3_release()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: docg3: fix use-after-free in docg3_release() In docg3_release(), the docg3 pointer is obtained from cascade->floors[0]->priv before the loop that calls doc_release_device() on each floor. doc_release_device() frees the docg3 struct via kfree(docg3) at line 1881. After the loop, docg3->cascade->bch dereferences the already-freed pointer. Fix this by accessing cascade->bch directly, which is equivalent since docg3->cascade points back to the same cascade struct, and is already available as a local variable. This also removes the now-unused docg3 local variable.

    lib: test_hmm: evict device pages on file close to avoid use-after-free

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib: test_hmm: evict device pages on file close to avoid use-after-free Patch series "Minor hmm_test fixes and cleanups". Two bugfixes a cleanup for the HMM kernel selftests. These were mostly reported by Zenghui Yu with special thanks to Lorenzo for analysing and pointing out the problems. This patch (of 3): When dmirror_fops_release() is called it frees the dmirror struct but doesn't migrate device private pages back to system memory first. This leaves those pages with a dangling zone_device_data pointer to the freed dmirror. If a subsequent fault occurs on those p

    Bluetooth: hci_uart: fix UAFs and race conditions in close and init paths

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_uart: fix UAFs and race conditions in close and init paths Vulnerabilities leading to Use-After-Free (UAF) and Null Pointer Dereference (NPD) conditions were observed in the lifecycle management of hci_uart. The primary issue arises because the workqueues (init_ready and write_work) are only flushed/cancelled if the HCI_UART_PROTO_READY flag is set during TTY close. If a hangup occurs before setup completes, hci_uart_tty_close() skips the teardown of these workqueues and proceeds to free the `hu` struct. When the scheduled work executes later, it blindly der

    io-wq: check that the predecessor is hashed in io_wq_remove_pending()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io-wq: check that the predecessor is hashed in io_wq_remove_pending() io_wq_remove_pending() needs to fix up wq->hash_tail[] if the cancelled work was the tail of its hash bucket. When doing this, it checks whether the preceding entry in acct->work_list has the same hash value, but never checks that the predecessor is hashed at all. io_get_work_hash() is simply atomic_read(&work->flags) >> IO_WQ_HASH_SHIFT, and the hash bits are never set for non-hashed work, so it returns 0. Thus, when a hashed bucket-0 work is cancelled while a non-hashed work is its list predecessor, the

    drm/vkms: Convert to DRM's vblank timer

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vkms: Convert to DRM's vblank timer Replace vkms' vblank timer with the DRM implementation. The DRM code is identical in concept, but differs in implementation. Vblank timers are covered in vblank helpers and initializer macros, so remove the corresponding hrtimer in struct vkms_output. The vblank timer calls vkms' custom timeout code via handle_vblank_timeout in struct drm_crtc_helper_funcs.

    ibmveth: Disable GSO for packets with small MSS

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ibmveth: Disable GSO for packets with small MSS Some physical adapters on Power systems do not support segmentation offload when the MSS is less than 224 bytes. Attempting to send such packets causes the adapter to freeze, stopping all traffic until manually reset. Implement ndo_features_check to disable GSO for packets with small MSS values. The network stack will perform software segmentation instead. The 224-byte minimum matches ibmvnic commit <f10b09ef687f> ("ibmvnic: Enforce stronger sanity checks on GSO packets") which uses the same physical adapters in SEA configur

    power: supply: rt9455: Fix use-after-free in power_supply_changed()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: rt9455: Fix use-after-free in power_supply_changed() Using the `devm_` variant for requesting IRQ _before_ the `devm_` variant for allocating/registering the `power_supply` handle, means that the `power_supply` handle will be deallocated/unregistered _before_ the interrupt handler (since `devm_` naturally deallocates in reverse allocation order). This means that during removal, there is a race condition where an interrupt can fire just _after_ the `power_supply` handle has been freed, *but* just _before_ the corresponding unregistration of the IRQ handler has

    nfc: hci: shdlc: Stop timers and work before freeing context

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: hci: shdlc: Stop timers and work before freeing context llc_shdlc_deinit() purges SHDLC skb queues and frees the llc_shdlc structure while its timers and state machine work may still be active. Timer callbacks can schedule sm_work, and sm_work accesses SHDLC state and the skb queues. If teardown happens in parallel with a queued/running work item, it can lead to UAF and other shutdown races. Stop all SHDLC timers and cancel sm_work synchronously before purging the queues and freeing the context. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

    pstore/ram: fix buffer overflow in persistent_ram_save_old()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pstore/ram: fix buffer overflow in persistent_ram_save_old() persistent_ram_save_old() can be called multiple times for the same persistent_ram_zone (e.g., via ramoops_pstore_read -> ramoops_get_next_prz for PSTORE_TYPE_DMESG records). Currently, the function only allocates prz->old_log when it is NULL, but it unconditionally updates prz->old_log_size to the current buffer size and then performs memcpy_fromio() using this new size. If the buffer size has grown since the first allocation (which can happen across different kernel boot cycles), this leads to: 1. A heap buffe

    MIPS: Work around LLVM bug when gp is used as global register variable

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: MIPS: Work around LLVM bug when gp is used as global register variable On MIPS, __current_thread_info is defined as global register variable locating in $gp, and is simply assigned with new address during kernel relocation. This however is broken with LLVM, which always restores $gp if it finds $gp is clobbered in any form, including when intentionally through a global register variable. This is against GCC's documentation[1], which requires a callee-saved register used as global register variable not to be restored if it's clobbered. As a result, $gp will continue to poi

    octeontx2-af: Fix PF driver crash with kexec kernel booting

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: Fix PF driver crash with kexec kernel booting During a kexec reboot the hardware is not power-cycled, so AF state from the old kernel can persist into the new kernel. When AF and PF drivers are built as modules, the PF driver may probe before AF reinitializes the hardware. The PF driver treats the RVUM block revision as an indication that AF initialization is complete. If this value is left uncleared at shutdown, PF may incorrectly assume AF is ready and access stale hardware state, leading to a crash. Clear the RVUM block revision during AF shutdown to avoi
