smb: client: fix in-place encryption corruption in SMB2_write()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix in-place encryption corruption in SMB2_write() SMB2_write() places write payload in iov[1..n] as part of rq_iov. smb3_init_transform_rq() pointer-shares rq_iov, so crypt_message() encrypts iov[1] in-place, replacing the original plaintext with ciphertext. On a replayable error, the retry sends the same iov[1] which now contains ciphertext instead of the original data, resulting in corruption. The corruption is most likely to be observed when connections are unstable, as reconnects trigger write retries that re-send the already-encrypted data. This affects

btrfs: fix transaction abort when snapshotting received subvolumes

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix transaction abort when snapshotting received subvolumes Currently a user can trigger a transaction abort by snapshotting a previously received snapshot a bunch of times until we reach a BTRFS_UUID_KEY_RECEIVED_SUBVOL item overflow (the maximum item size we can store in a leaf). This is very likely not common in practice, but if it happens, it turns the filesystem into RO mode. The snapshot, send and set_received_subvol and subvol_setflags (used by receive) don't require CAP_SYS_ADMIN, just inode_owner_or_capable(). A malicious user could use this to turn a filesy

btrfs: fix transaction abort on set received ioctl due to item overflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix transaction abort on set received ioctl due to item overflow If the set received ioctl fails due to an item overflow when attempting to add the BTRFS_UUID_KEY_RECEIVED_SUBVOL we have to abort the transaction since we did some metadata updates before. This means that if a user calls this ioctl with the same received UUID field for a lot of subvolumes, we will hit the overflow, trigger the transaction abort and turn the filesystem into RO mode. A malicious user could exploit this, and this ioctl does not even requires that a user has admin privileges (CAP_SYS_ADMI

iio: gyro: mpu3050-core: fix pm_runtime error handling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: gyro: mpu3050-core: fix pm_runtime error handling The return value of pm_runtime_get_sync() is not checked, allowing the driver to access hardware that may fail to resume. The device usage count is also unconditionally incremented. Use pm_runtime_resume_and_get() which propagates errors and avoids incrementing the usage count on failure. In preenable, add pm_runtime_put_autosuspend() on set_8khz_samplerate() failure since postdisable does not run when preenable fails.

i3c: mipi-i3c-hci: Fix race in DMA ring dequeue

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: mipi-i3c-hci: Fix race in DMA ring dequeue The HCI DMA dequeue path (hci_dma_dequeue_xfer()) may be invoked for multiple transfers that timeout around the same time. However, the function is not serialized and can race with itself. When a timeout occurs, hci_dma_dequeue_xfer() stops the ring, processes incomplete transfers, and then restarts the ring. If another timeout triggers a parallel call into the same function, the two instances may interfere with each other - stopping or restarting the ring at unexpected times. Add a mutex so that hci_dma_dequeue_xfer() is

i3c: mipi-i3c-hci: Correct RING_CTRL_ABORT handling in DMA dequeue

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i3c: mipi-i3c-hci: Correct RING_CTRL_ABORT handling in DMA dequeue The logic used to abort the DMA ring contains several flaws: 1. The driver unconditionally issues a ring abort even when the ring has already stopped. 2. The completion used to wait for abort completion is never re-initialized, resulting in incorrect wait behavior. 3. The abort sequence unintentionally clears RING_CTRL_ENABLE, which resets hardware ring pointers and disrupts the controller state. 4. If the ring is already stopped, the abort operation should be considered successful witho

smb: client: require a full NFS mode SID before reading mode bits

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: require a full NFS mode SID before reading mode bits parse_dacl() treats an ACE SID matching sid_unix_NFS_mode as an NFS mode SID and reads sid.sub_auth[2] to recover the mode bits. That assumes the ACE carries three subauthorities, but compare_sids() only compares min(a, b) subauthorities. A malicious server can return an ACE with num_subauth = 2 and sub_auth[] = {88, 3}, which still matches sid_unix_NFS_mode and then drives the sub_auth[2] read four bytes past the end of the ACE. Require num_subauth >= 3 before treating the ACE as an NFS mode SID. This kee

perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix die ID init and look up bugs

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix die ID init and look up bugs In snbep_pci2phy_map_init(), in the nr_node_ids > 8 path, uncore_device_to_die() may return -1 when all CPUs associated with the UBOX device are offline. Remove the WARN_ON_ONCE(die_id == -1) check for two reasons: - The current code breaks out of the loop. This is incorrect because pci_get_device() does not guarantee iteration in domain or bus order, so additional UBOX devices may be skipped during the scan. - Returning -EINVAL is incorrect, since marking offline buses with die_id == -1 is expected and should

net/ipv6: ioam6: prevent schema length wraparound in trace fill

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ipv6: ioam6: prevent schema length wraparound in trace fill ioam6_fill_trace_data() stores the schema contribution to the trace length in a u8. With bit 22 enabled and the largest schema payload, sclen becomes 1 + 1020 / 4, wraps from 256 to 0, and bypasses the remaining-space check. __ioam6_fill_trace_data() then positions the write cursor without reserving the schema area but still copies the 4-byte schema header and the full schema payload, overrunning the trace buffer. Keep sclen in an unsigned int so the remaining-space check and the write cursor calculation both

It contains a member `spinlock` containing a spin-lock that is initialized by the COMEDI subsystem, but is reserved for use by a low-level driver attached to the COMEDI device (at least since commit 25436dc9d84f ("Staging: comedi: remove RT code")). btrfs: reserve enough transaction items for qgroup ioctls

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: reserve enough transaction items for qgroup ioctls Currently our qgroup ioctls don't reserve any space, they just do a transaction join, which does not reserve any space, neither for the quota tree updates nor for the delayed refs generated when updating the quota tree. The quota root uses the global block reserve, which is fine most of the time since we don't expect a lot of updates to the quota root, or to be too close to -ENOSPC such that other critical metadata updates need to resort to the global reserve. However this is not optimal, as not reserving proper spa

lib/crypto: chacha: Zeroize permuted_state before it leaves scope

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib/crypto: chacha: Zeroize permuted_state before it leaves scope Since the ChaCha permutation is invertible, the local variable 'permuted_state' is sufficient to compute the original 'state', and thus the key, even after the permutation has been done. While the kernel is quite inconsistent about zeroizing secrets on the stack (and some prominent userspace crypto libraries don't bother at all since it's not guaranteed to work anyway), the kernel does try to do it as a best practice, especially in cases involving the RNG. Thus, explicitly zeroize 'permuted_state' before it

Bluetooth: SMP: force responder MITM requirements before building the pairing response

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: SMP: force responder MITM requirements before building the pairing response smp_cmd_pairing_req() currently builds the pairing response from the initiator auth_req before enforcing the local BT_SECURITY_HIGH requirement. If the initiator omits SMP_AUTH_MITM, the response can also omit it even though the local side still requires MITM. tk_request() then sees an auth value without SMP_AUTH_MITM and may select JUST_CFM, making method selection inconsistent with the pairing policy the responder already enforces. When the local side requires HIGH security, first ver

bpf: reject direct access to nullable PTR_TO_BUF pointers

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: reject direct access to nullable PTR_TO_BUF pointers check_mem_access() matches PTR_TO_BUF via base_type() which strips PTR_MAYBE_NULL, allowing direct dereference without a null check. Map iterator ctx->key and ctx->value are PTR_TO_BUF | PTR_MAYBE_NULL. On stop callbacks these are NULL, causing a kernel NULL dereference. Add a type_may_be_null() guard to the PTR_TO_BUF branch, matching the existing PTR_TO_BTF_ID pattern.

cpufreq: governor: fix double free in cpufreq_dbs_governor_init() error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: governor: fix double free in cpufreq_dbs_governor_init() error path When kobject_init_and_add() fails, cpufreq_dbs_governor_init() calls kobject_put(&dbs_data->attr_set.kobj).
