rtnetlink: add missing netlink_ns_capable() check for peer netns

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtnetlink: add missing netlink_ns_capable() check for peer netns rtnl_newlink() lacks a CAP_NET_ADMIN capability check on the peer network namespace when creating paired devices (veth, vxcan, netkit). This allows an unprivileged user with a user namespace to create interfaces in arbitrary network namespaces, including init_net. Add a netlink_ns_capable() check for CAP_NET_ADMIN in the peer namespace before allowing device creation to proceed.

rxrpc: proc: size address buffers for %pISpc output

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: proc: size address buffers for %pISpc output The AF_RXRPC procfs helpers format local and remote socket addresses into fixed 50-byte stack buffers with "%pISpc". That is too small for the longest current-tree IPv6-with-port form the formatter can produce. In lib/vsprintf.c, the compressed IPv6 path uses a dotted-quad tail not only for v4mapped addresses, but also for ISATAP addresses via ipv6_addr_is_isatap(). As a result, a case such as [ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:0:5efe:255.255.255.255]:65535 is possible with the current formatter. That is 50 visible characters, so

KVM: SEV: Protect *all* of sev_mem_enc_register_region() with kvm->lock

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SEV: Protect *all* of sev_mem_enc_register_region() with kvm->lock Take and hold kvm->lock for before checking sev_guest() in sev_mem_enc_register_region(), as sev_guest() isn't stable unless kvm->lock is held (or KVM can guarantee KVM_SEV_INIT{2} has completed and can't rollack state). If KVM_SEV_INIT{2} fails, KVM can end up trying to add to a not-yet-initialized sev->regions_list, e.g. triggering a #GP Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000000: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000

wireguard: device: use exit_rtnl callback instead of manual rtnl_lock in pre_exit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wireguard: device: use exit_rtnl callback instead of manual rtnl_lock in pre_exit wg_netns_pre_exit() manually acquires rtnl_lock() inside the pernet .pre_exit callback. This causes a hung task when another thread holds rtnl_mutex - the cleanup_net workqueue (or the setup_net failure rollback path) blocks indefinitely in wg_netns_pre_exit() waiting to acquire the lock. Convert to .exit_rtnl, introduced in commit 7a60d91c690b ("net: Add ->exit_rtnl() hook to struct pernet_operations."), where the framework already holds RTNL and batches all callbacks under a single rtnl_lo

s390/mm: Add missing secure storage access fixups for donated memory

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/mm: Add missing secure storage access fixups for donated memory There are special cases where secure storage access exceptions happen in a kernel context for pages that don't have the PG_arch_1 bit set. That bit is set for non-exported guest secure storage (memory) but is absent on storage donated to the Ultravisor since the kernel isn't allowed to export donated pages. Prior to this patch we would try to export the page by calling arch_make_folio_accessible() which would instantly return since the arch bit is absent signifying that the page was already exported and n

smb: server: make use of smbdirect_socket.send_io.bcredits

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: server: make use of smbdirect_socket.send_io.bcredits It turns out that our code will corrupt the stream of reassabled data transfer messages when we trigger an immendiate (empty) send. In order to fix this we'll have a single 'batch' credit per connection. And code getting that credit is free to use as much messages until remaining_length reaches 0, then the batch credit it given back and the next logical send can happen.

smb: server: let send_done handle a completion without IB_SEND_SIGNALED

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: server: let send_done handle a completion without IB_SEND_SIGNALED With smbdirect_send_batch processing we likely have requests without IB_SEND_SIGNALED, which will be destroyed in the final request that has IB_SEND_SIGNALED set. If the connection is broken all requests are signaled even without explicit IB_SEND_SIGNALED.

ipv4: nexthop: allocate skb dynamically in rtm_get_nexthop()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: nexthop: allocate skb dynamically in rtm_get_nexthop() When querying a nexthop object via RTM_GETNEXTHOP, the kernel currently allocates a fixed-size skb using NLMSG_GOODSIZE. While sufficient for single nexthops and small Equal-Cost Multi-Path groups, this fixed allocation fails for large nexthop groups like 512 nexthops. This results in the following warning splat: WARNING: net/ipv4/nexthop.c:3395 at rtm_get_nexthop+0x176/0x1c0, CPU#20: rep/4608 [...] RIP: 0010:rtm_get_nexthop (net/ipv4/nexthop.c:3395) [...] Call Trace: <TASK> rtnetlink_rcv_msg (net/core/

bpf: Fix exception exit lock checking for subprogs

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix exception exit lock checking for subprogs process_bpf_exit_full() passes check_lock = !curframe to check_resource_leak(), which is false in cases when bpf_throw() is called from a static subprog. This makes check_resource_leak() to skip validation of active_rcu_locks, active_preempt_locks, and active_irq_id on exception exits from subprogs. At runtime bpf_throw() unwinds the stack via ORC without releasing any user-acquired locks, which may cause various issues as the result. Fix by setting check_lock = true for exception exits regardless of curframe, since excep

RDMA/efa: Fix use of completion ctx after free

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Fix use of completion ctx after free On admin queue completion handling, if the admin command completed with error we print data from the completion context. The issue is that we already freed the completion context in polling/interrupts handler which means we print data from context in an unknown state (it might be already used again). Change the admin submission flow so alloc/dealloc of the context will be symmetric and dealloc will be called after any potential use of the context.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bridge: cfm: Fix race condition in peer_mep deletion When a peer MEP is being deleted, cancel_delayed_work_sync() is called on ccm_rx_dwork before freeing. However, br_cfm_frame_rx() runs in softirq context under rcu_read_lock (without RTNL) and can re-schedule ccm_rx_dwork via ccm_rx_timer_start() between cancel_delayed_work_sync() returning and kfree_rcu() being called. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: change XDP RxQ frag_size from DMA write length to xdp.frame_sz The only user of frag_size field in XDP RxQ info is bpf_xdp_frags_increase_tail(). It clearly expects whole buff size instead of DMA write size. Different assumptions in ice driver configuration lead to negative tailroom. This allows to trigger kernel panic, when using XDP_ADJUST_TAIL_GROW_MULTI_BUFF xskxceiver test and changing packet size to 6912 and the requested offset to a huge value, e.g. XSK_UMEM__MAX_FRAME_SIZE * 100.
