cacheinfo: Allocate memory during CPU hotplug if not done from the primary CPU

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cacheinfo: Allocate memory during CPU hotplug if not done from the primary CPU Commit 5944ce092b97 ("arch_topology: Build cacheinfo from primary CPU") adds functionality that architectures can use to optionally allocate and build cacheinfo early during boot. Commit 6539cffa9495 ("cacheinfo: Add arch specific early level initializer") lets secondary CPUs correct (and reallocate memory) cacheinfo data if needed. If the early build functionality is not used and cacheinfo does not need correction, memory for cacheinfo is never allocated. x86 does not use the early buil

    nfsd: release svc_expkey/svc_export with rcu_work

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: release svc_expkey/svc_export with rcu_work The last reference for `cache_head` can be reduced to zero in `c_show` and `e_show`(using `rcu_read_lock` and `rcu_read_unlock`). Consequently, `svc_export_put` and `expkey_put` will be invoked, leading to two issues: 1. The `svc_export_put` will directly free ex_uuid. However, `e_show`/`c_show` will access `ex_uuid` after `cache_put`, which can trigger a use-after-free issue, shown below. ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in svc_export_show+0x362

    idpf: fix idpf_vc_core_init error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: fix idpf_vc_core_init error path In an event where the platform running the device control plane is rebooted, reset is detected on the driver. It releases all the resources and waits for the reset to complete. Once the reset is done, it tries to build the resources back. At this time if the device control plane is not yet started, then the driver timeouts on the virtchnl message and retries to establish the mailbox again. In the retry flow, mailbox is deinitialized but the mailbox workqueue is still alive and polling for the mailbox message. This results in accessing

nfsd: fix race between laundromat and free_stateid

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix race between laundromat and free_stateid There is a race between laundromat handling of revoked delegations and a client sending free_stateid operation. Laundromat thread finds that delegation has expired and needs to be revoked so it marks the delegation stid revoked and it puts it on a reaper list but then it unlock the state lock and the actual delegation revocation happens without the lock. Once the stid is marked revoked a racing free_stateid processing thread does the following (1) it calls list_del_init() which removes it from the reaper list and (2) frees

x86: fix user address masking non-canonical speculation issue

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86: fix user address masking non-canonical speculation issue It turns out that AMD has a "Meltdown Lite(tm)" issue with non-canonical accesses in kernel space. And so using just the high bit to decide whether an access is in user space or kernel space ends up with the good old "leak speculative data" if you have the right gadget using the result: CVE-2020-12965 “Transient Execution of Non-Canonical Accesses“ Now, the kernel surrounds the access with a STAC/CLAC pair, and those instructions end up serializing execution on older Zen architectures, which closes the specu

drm/amd/display: Fix system hang while resume with TBT monitor

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix system hang while resume with TBT monitor [Why] Connected with a Thunderbolt monitor and do the suspend and the system may hang while resume. The TBT monitor HPD will be triggered during the resume procedure and call the drm_client_modeset_probe() while struct drm_connector connector->dev->master is NULL. It will mess up the pipe topology after resume. [How] Skip the TBT monitor HPD during the resume procedure because we currently will probe the connectors after resume by default. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Implement bounds check for stream encoder creation in DCN401 'stream_enc_regs' array is an array of dcn10_stream_enc_registers structures. The array is initialized with four elements, corresponding to the four calls to stream_enc_regs() in the array initializer. This means that valid indices for this array are 0, 1, 2, and 3. The error message 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5 below, is indicating that there is an attempt to access this array with an index of 5, which is out of bounds. l2tp: prevent possible tunnel refcount underflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: prevent possible tunnel refcount underflow When a session is created, it sets a backpointer to its tunnel. When the session refcount drops to 0, l2tp_session_free drops the tunnel refcount if session->tunnel is non-NULL. However, session->tunnel is set in l2tp_session_create, before the tunnel refcount is incremented by l2tp_session_register, which leaves a small window where session->tunnel is non-NULL when the tunnel refcount hasn't been bumped. Moving the assignment to l2tp_session_register is trivial but l2tp_session_create calls l2tp_session_set_header_len which

btrfs: don't readahead the relocation inode on RST

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: don't readahead the relocation inode on RST On relocation we're doing readahead on the relocation inode, but if the filesystem is backed by a RAID stripe tree we can get ENOENT (e.g. due to preallocated extents not being mapped in the RST) from the lookup. drm/amd/display: Add NULL check for clk_mgr and clk_mgr->funcs in dcn401_init_hw

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Add NULL check for clk_mgr and clk_mgr->funcs in dcn401_init_hw This commit addresses a potential null pointer dereference issue in the `dcn401_init_hw` function. The issue could occur when `dc->clk_mgr` or `dc->clk_mgr->funcs` is null. The fix adds a check to ensure `dc->clk_mgr` and `dc->clk_mgr->funcs` is not null before accessing its functions. This prevents a potential null pointer dereference. Reported by smatch: drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/hwss/dcn401/dcn401_hwseq.c:416 dcn401_init_hw() error: we previously assumed 'dc->clk_mgr' could

drm/amd/display: Add NULL check for function pointer in dcn401_set_output_transfer_func

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Add NULL check for function pointer in dcn401_set_output_transfer_func This commit adds a null check for the set_output_gamma function pointer in the dcn401_set_output_transfer_func function. Previously, set_output_gamma was being checked for null, but then it was being dereferenced without any null check. This could lead to a null pointer dereference if set_output_gamma is null. To fix this, we now ensure that set_output_gamma is not null before dereferencing it. We do this by adding a null check for set_output_gamma before the call to set_output_gamma.
