    md: Replace snprintf with scnprintf

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md: Replace snprintf with scnprintf Current code produces a warning as shown below when total characters in the constituent block device names plus the slashes exceeds 200. snprintf() returns the number of characters generated from the given input, which could cause the expression “200 – len” to wrap around to a large positive number. Fix this by using scnprintf() instead, which returns the actual number of characters written into the buffer. wifi: ath9k: verify the expected usb_endpoints are present

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: verify the expected usb_endpoints are present The bug arises when a USB device claims to be an ATH9K but doesn't have the expected endpoints. (In this case there was an interrupt endpoint where the driver expected a bulk endpoint.) The kernel needs to be able to handle such devices without getting an internal error. usb 1-1: BOGUS urb xfer, pipe 3 != type 1 WARNING: CPU: 3 PID: 500 at drivers/usb/core/urb.c:493 usb_submit_urb+0xce2/0x1430 drivers/usb/core/urb.c:493 Modules linked in: CPU: 3 PID: 500 Comm: kworker/3:2 Not tainted 5.10.135-syzkaller #0 Hardware

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: UM: cpuinfo: Fix a warning for CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK When CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK and CONFIG_DEBUG_PER_CPU_MAPS is selected, cpu_max_bits_warn() generates a runtime warning similar as below while we show /proc/cpuinfo. btrfs: do not BUG_ON() on ENOMEM when dropping extent items for a range

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not BUG_ON() on ENOMEM when dropping extent items for a range If we get -ENOMEM while dropping file extent items in a given range, at btrfs_drop_extents(), due to failure to allocate memory when attempting to increment the reference count for an extent or drop the reference count, we handle it with a BUG_ON(). This is excessive, instead we can simply abort the transaction and return the error to the caller. In fact most callers of btrfs_drop_extents(), directly or indirectly, already abort the transaction if btrfs_drop_extents() returns any error. Also, we alread

    nfsd: call op_release, even when op_func returns an error

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: call op_release, even when op_func returns an error For ops with "trivial" replies, nfsd4_encode_operation will shortcut most of the encoding work and skip to just marshalling up the status. One of the things it skips is calling op_release. This could cause a memory leak in the layoutget codepath if there is an error at an inopportune time. Have the compound processing engine always call op_release, even when op_func sets an error in op->status. With this change, we also need nfsd4_block_get_device_info_scsi to set the gd_device pointer to NULL on error to avoid a do

    jfs: jfs_dmap: Validate db_l2nbperpage while mounting

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: jfs_dmap: Validate db_l2nbperpage while mounting In jfs_dmap.c at line 381, BLKTODMAP is used to get a logical block number inside dbFree(). db_l2nbperpage, which is the log2 number of blocks per page, is passed as an argument to BLKTODMAP which uses it for shifting. Syzbot reported a shift out-of-bounds crash because db_l2nbperpage is too big. This happens because the large value is set without any validation in dbMount() at line 181. Thus, make sure that db_l2nbperpage is correct while mounting. Max number of blocks per page = Page size / Min block size => log2(Ma

    media: az6007: Fix null-ptr-deref in az6007_i2c_xfer()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: az6007: Fix null-ptr-deref in az6007_i2c_xfer() In az6007_i2c_xfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be passed. Malicious data finally reach az6007_i2c_xfer. If accessing msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen. We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash. rxrpc: Make it so that a waiting process can be aborted

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Make it so that a waiting process can be aborted When sendmsg() creates an rxrpc call, it queues it to wait for a connection and channel to be assigned and then waits before it can start shovelling data as the encrypted DATA packet content includes a summary of the connection parameters. However, sendmsg() may get interrupted before a connection gets assigned and further sendmsg() calls will fail with EBUSY until an assignment is made. Fix this so that the call can at least be aborted without failing on EBUSY. We have to be careful here as sendmsg() mustn't be all

    RDMA/bnxt_re: wraparound mbox producer index

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: wraparound mbox producer index Driver is not handling the wraparound of the mbox producer index correctly. Currently the wraparound happens once u32 max is reached. Bit 31 of the producer index register is special and should be set only once for the first command. Because the producer index overflow setting bit31 after a long time, FW goes to initialization sequence and this causes FW hang. Fix is to wraparound the mbox producer index once it reaches u16 max.
