In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: mc, v4l2: serialize REINIT and REQBUFS with req_queue_mutex MEDIA_REQUEST_IOC_REINIT can run concurrently with VIDIOC_REQBUFS(0) queue teardown paths. This can race request object cleanup against vb2 queue cancellation and lead to use-after-free reports. We already serialize request queueing against STREAMON/OFF with req_queue_mutex. Extend that serialization to REQBUFS, and also take the same mutex in media_request_ioctl_reinit() so REINIT is in the same exclusion domain. Before accessing path[k].p_idx->ei_block, there is no validation that p_idx falls within the valid range of index entries for that level.
