sctp: fix OOB write to userspace in sctp_getsockopt_peer_auth_chunks

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: fix OOB write to userspace in sctp_getsockopt_peer_auth_chunks sctp_getsockopt_peer_auth_chunks() checks that the caller's optval buffer is large enough for the peer AUTH chunk list with if (len < num_chunks) return -EINVAL; but then writes num_chunks bytes to p->gauth_chunks, which lives at offset offsetof(struct sctp_authchunks, gauth_chunks) == 8 inside optval. The check is missing the sizeof(struct sctp_authchunks) = 8-byte header. When the caller supplies len == num_chunks (for any num_chunks > 0) the test passes but copy_to_user() writes size

netfilter: xtables: restrict several matches to inet family

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: xtables: restrict several matches to inet family This is a partial revert of: commit ab4f21e6fb1c ("netfilter: xtables: use NFPROTO_UNSPEC in more extensions") to allow ipv4 and ipv6 only. - xt_mac - xt_owner - xt_physdev These extensions are not used by ebtables in userspace. Moreover, xt_realm is only for ipv4, since dst->tclassid is ipv4 specific.

netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix potential NULL dereference in ttl check

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix potential NULL dereference in ttl check The nf_osf_ttl() function accessed skb->dev to perform a local interface address lookup without verifying that the device pointer was valid. Additionally, the implementation utilized an in_dev_for_each_ifa_rcu loop to match the packet source address against local interface addresses. It assumed that packets from the same subnet should not see a decrement on the initial TTL. A packet might appear it is from the same subnet but it actually isn't especially in modern environments with containers and virtual

net/rds: zero per-item info buffer before handing it to visitors

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: zero per-item info buffer before handing it to visitors rds_for_each_conn_info() and rds_walk_conn_path_info() both hand a caller-allocated on-stack u64 buffer to a per-connection visitor and then copy the full item_len bytes back to user space via rds_info_copy() regardless of how much of the buffer the visitor actually wrote. rds_ib_conn_info_visitor() and rds6_ib_conn_info_visitor() only write a subset of their output struct when the underlying rds_connection is not in state RDS_CONN_UP (src/dst addr, tos, sl and the two GIDs via explicit memsets). tipc: fix double-free in tipc_buf_append()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix double-free in tipc_buf_append() tipc_msg_validate() can potentially reallocate the skb it is validating, freeing the old one. In tipc_buf_append(), it was being called with a pointer to a local variable which was a copy of the caller's skb pointer. If the skb was reallocated and validation subsequently failed, the error handling path would free the original skb pointer, which had already been freed, leading to double-free. Fix this by checking if head now points to a newly allocated reassembled skb. If it does, reassign *headbuf for later freeing operations.

    netfilter: nf_conntrack_sip: don't use simple_strtoul

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_sip: don't use simple_strtoul Replace unsafe port parsing in epaddr_len(), ct_sip_parse_header_uri(), and ct_sip_parse_request() with a new sip_parse_port() helper that validates each digit against the buffer limit, eliminating the use of simple_strtoul() which assumes NUL-terminated strings. The previous code dereferenced pointers without bounds checks after sip_parse_addr() and relied on simple_strtoul() on non-NUL-terminated skb data. A port that reaches the buffer limit without a trailing character is also rejected as malformed. Also get rid of

net/sched: netem: fix queue limit check to include reordered packets

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: netem: fix queue limit check to include reordered packets The queue limit check in netem_enqueue() uses q->t_len which only counts packets in the internal tfifo. Packets placed in sch->q by the reorder path (__qdisc_enqueue_head) are not counted, allowing the total queue occupancy to exceed sch->limit under reordering. Include sch->q.qlen in the limit check.

But even the first added user of neigh_xmit (mpls) relied on neigh_xmit to release the skb (or queue it for tx). sashiko reported: If neigh_xmit() is called with an uninitialized neighbor table (for example, NEIGH_ND_TABLE when IPv6 is disabled), it returns -EAFNOSUPPORT and bypasses its internal out_kfree_skb error path. ALSA: usb-audio: Bound MIDI endpoint descriptor scans

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Bound MIDI endpoint descriptor scans snd_usbmidi_get_ms_info() validates the internal MIDIStreaming endpoint descriptor size before using baAssocJackID[], but the descriptor walker can still return a class-specific endpoint descriptor whose bLength exceeds the remaining bytes in the endpoint-extra scan. That leaves later flexible-array reads bounded by bLength, but not by the remaining bytes in the endpoint-extra scan. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in __ceph_x_decrypt() In __ceph_x_decrypt(), a part of the buffer p is interpreted as a ceph_x_encrypt_header, and the magic field of this struct is accessed. This happens without any guarantee that the buffer is large enough to hold this struct. The function parameter ciphertext_len represents the length of the ciphertext to decrypt and is guaranteed to be at most the remaining size of the allocated buffer p. However, this value is not necessarily greater than sizeof(ceph_x_encrypt_header). E.g., a message frame of type FRAME_TAG

libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in crush_decode()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in crush_decode() A message of type CEPH_MSG_OSD_MAP containing a crush map with at least one bucket has two fields holding the bucket algorithm. If the values in these two fields differ, an out-of-bounds access can occur. This is the case because the first algorithm field (alg) is used to allocate the correct amount of memory for a bucket of this type, while the second algorithm field inside the bucket (b->alg) is used in the subsequent processing. This patch fixes the issue by adding a check that compares alg and b->alg and abo

The I2C_TIMEOUT ioctl accepts a user-provided timeout in multiples of 10 ms. The user argument is checked against INT_MAX, but it is subsequently multiplied by 10 before being passed to msecs_to_jiffies(). net: qrtr: fix refcount saturation and potential UAF in qrtr_port_remove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: qrtr: fix refcount saturation and potential UAF in qrtr_port_remove In qrtr_port_remove(), the socket reference count is decremented via __sock_put() before the port is removed from the qrtr_ports XArray and before the RCU grace period elapses. This breaks the fundamental RCU update paradigm. It exposes a race window where a concurrent RCU reader (such as qrtr_reset_ports() or qrtr_port_lookup()) can obtain a pointer to the socket from the XArray, and attempt to call sock_hold() on a socket whose reference count has already dropped to zero. This exact race condition
