iio: accel: kxcjk-1013: reject duplicate event disable

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: accel: kxcjk-1013: reject duplicate event disable The IIO core does not filter duplicate writes to the event enable attribute. kxcjk1013_write_event_config() already ignores repeated enable requests, but a repeated disable request still calls kxcjk1013_set_power_state(data, false), dropping a runtime PM reference that was not acquired for this request. This can underflow the runtime PM usage count and trigger a "Runtime PM usage count underflow" warning. Return early when the requested state already matches ev_enable_state.

iio: adc: xilinx-xadc: free IRQ before cancelling the unmask worker on unbind

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: xilinx-xadc: free IRQ before cancelling the unmask worker on unbind The ZYNQ XADC alarm IRQ handler queues zynq_unmask_work via schedule_delayed_work(); that work is cleared by a devm callback. Register the devm callback before devm_request_irq() so the devres LIFO teardown frees the IRQ first, ensuring the handler can no longer queue work by the time the workqueue is cleared. Otherwise the handler could re-arm the work and run it after the xadc structure has been freed. This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool.

iio: buffer: serialize buffer teardown with mode claims

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: buffer: serialize buffer teardown with mode claims Buffer-mode claims hold mlock to guarantee that the device remains in buffer mode until the claim is released. Normal buffer updates take info_exist_lock followed by mlock in iio_update_buffers(). However, iio_device_unregister() disables and deactivates all buffers without taking mlock. This can invalidate buffer state, including active_scan_mask, while a buffer-mode claim is held. Take mlock in iio_disable_all_buffers() so that unregister honors the mode-claim lifetime guarantee. The info_exist_lock -> mlock orderi

iio: gyro: adis16136: fix unprotected debugfs reads

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: gyro: adis16136: fix unprotected debugfs reads The serial_number file operations are open coded and never call debugfs_file_get(), which debugfs_create_file_unsafe() requires. debugfs_remove_recursive() therefore does not wait for a read in progress, and unbind frees the iio_dev underneath it. Use debugfs_create_file() instead.

Commit ae1d37a9bb4b ("iio: imu: adis16400: use DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE instead of DEFINE_SIMPLE_ATTRIBUTE") converted product_id and flash_count to DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE, which protects itself, but moved all three files to debugfs_create_file_unsafe(). serial_number prints three registers as "%.4x-%.4x-%.4x" and DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTR

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: light: gp2ap020a00f: drain irq_work after free_irq The threaded IRQ handler queues data->work through irq_work_queue() so the trigger is polled from a per-CPU context. free_irq() does not flush an irq_work the handler already queued, so after gp2ap020a00f_remove() returns that work may still run and call iio_trigger_poll() on data->trig, which the devm cleanup has already freed, causing a use-after-free. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: proximity: pulsedlight: fix iio_device left registered on PM setup failure pm_runtime_set_active() failing in probe() jumps to error_unreg_buffer, which only calls iio_triggered_buffer_cleanup() -- it does not undo the iio_device_register() that already succeeded a few lines above. probe() then returns the error, the devm-managed indio_dev is freed, but the iio core still has it registered: the sysfs/chardev nodes stay live and point at freed memory. iio: trigger: cancel reenable_work before freeing trigger

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: trigger: cancel reenable_work before freeing trigger iio_trigger_notify_done_atomic() defers ->reenable() into trig->reenable_work on the system workqueue, and the worker dereferences the owning trigger through container_of(). Nothing cancels this work before iio_trig_release() frees the trigger, so a worker armed by the last in-flight IRQ can outlive the free and touch freed memory. Cancel it at the top of iio_trig_release(), which every free path reaches through the device core's final put_device(). Found by an in-house static analysis tool.

perf: Require kernel access for text poke events

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Require kernel access for text poke events Perf events with exclude_kernel=1 can be opened without kernel perf access. However, exclude_kernel does not suppress text-poke sideband records. Every PERF_RECORD_TEXT_POKE is marked PERF_RECORD_MISC_KERNEL and contains a raw kernel instruction address. An unprivileged task can therefore open and mmap a task-local software event with text_poke=1. Both opening a count-only tracepoint event and configuring UDP GRO for ESP-in-UDP cause updates to inline static calls; the observer receives the relocated addresses of the modifie

    bpf: Fix divide-by-zero in btf_struct_walk()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix divide-by-zero in btf_struct_walk() When an access goes past the struct and the last member is a flexible array, btf_struct_walk() folds the offset back into a single element with (off - moff) % t->size, but never checks that the element type has a size. BTF takes an empty struct, so this in program BTF /* event could be empty */ struct event { #ifdef HAVE_TIMESTAMP __u64 ts; #endif }; struct batch { int nr; struct event events[]; }; divides by zero at prog load time. bpf: Avoid soft lockup in __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Avoid soft lockup in __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch() __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch() has no rescheduling point. The batch count bounds how many entries are copied out, not how many buckets are visited, so one BPF_MAP_LOOKUP_BATCH call can walk the map end to end. The empty-bucket fast path is worse: it stays inside a single rcu_read_lock() / bpf_disable_instrumentation() section for any run of consecutive empty buckets. That holds up on small maps, but it falls apart at scale. On a 144-CPU arm64 host running a CONFIG_PREEMPT_NONE kernel, periodic BPF_MAP_LOO

bpf: Fix out-of-bounds read of rtt_min in sock_ops

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix out-of-bounds read of rtt_min in sock_ops A sockops prog reading skops->rtt_min never checks the sk type: on the tcp_conn_request() path sock_ops->sk is a request_sock (non-full), and the ctx rewrite casts it to a tcp_sock (full) and reads rtt_min past the end of the request_sock, returning dirty adjacent memory. SEC("sockops") int prog(struct bpf_sock_ops *skops) { switch (skops->op) { case BPF_SOCK_OPS_RWND_INIT: leak = skops->rtt_min; /* reads the request_sock OOB */ ... } } For instance one such read returned rtt_min=0xffff8881, the high half

HID: amd_sfh: Validate PCI BAR size before mapping

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: amd_sfh: Validate PCI BAR size before mapping The amd_sfh driver maps PCI BAR 2 using pcim_iomap_regions() and subsequently accesses MMIO registers at offsets up to 0x10958 (e.g., AMD_P2C_MSG3 at 0x1068C). However, the driver never validates that the BAR size is large enough to cover these accesses. If the driver is bound to a device with a smaller BAR 2, this leads to an out-of-bounds memory access and a page fault during the probe function. For example, a page fault can occur when reading from privdata->mmio + AMD_P2C_MSG3 in mp2_select_ops(): BUG: unable to hand

scsi: sd_zbc: Reject disks with too many zones

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: sd_zbc: Reject disks with too many zones sd_zbc_read_zones() computes the number of zones with 64-bit arithmetic and stores the result in the unsigned int nr_zones field of struct zoned_disk_info, silently truncating counts that exceed 32 bits. The truncated count is later used to size per-zone resources, while the device may still report more zones than fit. Moreover, sd_zbc_report_zones() counts the reported zones with a signed int zone_idx, which overflows past INT_MAX. Reject devices reporting more than INT_MAX zones at scan time; such a device is not realistic f

    xsk: Use a 32-bit compare in xsk_map_gen_lookup

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: Use a 32-bit compare in xsk_map_gen_lookup xsk_map_gen_lookup() loads a u32 key and compares it with max_entries using BPF_JMP_IMM. BPF immediates are sign-extended to 64 bits, so a max_entries value of 0x80000000 or higher becomes a threshold larger than every zero-extended 32-bit key. An out-of-range index then skips the bounds check and the generated lookup reads past xsk_map[]. Compare with BPF_JMP32_IMM so the check stays in 32-bit unsigned range.
