Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type, Improper Neutralization of Script-Related HTML Tags in a Web Page (Basic XSS) vulnerability in django CMS Association django Filer allows Input Data Manipulation, Stored XSS.
This issue affects django Filer: from 3 before 3.3.
HTML Cleaner allows crafted scripts in special contexts like svg or math to pass through
lxml_html_clean is a project for HTML cleaning functionalities copied from `lxml.html.clean`. Prior to version 0.4.0, the HTML Parser in lxml does not properly handle context-switching for special HTML tags such as `<svg>`, `<math>` and `<noscript>`. This behavior deviates from how web browsers parse and interpret such tags. Specifically, content in CSS comments is ignored by lxml_html_clean but may be interpreted differently by web browsers, enabling malicious scripts to bypass the cleaning process. This vulnerability could lead to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, compromising the security of users relying on lxml_html_clean in default co
aiohttp vulnerable to request smuggling due to incorrect parsing of chunk extensions
aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to version 3.10.11, the Python parser parses newlines in chunk extensions incorrectly which can lead to request smuggling vulnerabilities under certain conditions. If a pure Python version of aiohttp is installed (i.e. without the usual C extensions) or `AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS` is enabled, then an attacker may be able to execute a request smuggling attack to bypass certain firewalls or proxy protections. Version 3.10.11 fixes the issue.
aiohttp memory leak when middleware is enabled when requesting a resource with a non-allowed method
aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. In versions starting with 3.10.6 and prior to 3.10.11, a memory leak can occur when a request produces a MatchInfoError. This was caused by adding an entry to a cache on each request, due to the building of each MatchInfoError producing a unique cache entry. An attacker may be able to exhaust the memory resources of a server by sending a substantial number (100,000s to millions) of such requests. Those who use any middlewares with aiohttp.web should upgrade to version 3.10.11 to receive a patch.
Cobbler allows anyone to connect to cobbler XML-RPC server with a known password and make changes
Cobbler, a Linux installation server that allows for rapid setup of network installation environments, has an improper authentication vulnerability starting in version 3.0.0 and prior to versions 3.2.3 and 3.3.7. `utils.get_shared_secret()` always returns `-1`, which allows anyone to connect to cobbler XML-RPC as user `''` password `-1` and make any changes. This gives anyone with network access to a cobbler server full control of the server. Versions 3.2.3 and 3.3.7 fix the issue.
OpenCTI is an open source platform allowing organizations to manage their cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to version 6.1.9, the regex validation used to prevent Introspection queries can be bypassed by removing the extra whitespace, carriage return, and line feed characters from the query. GraphQL Queries in OpenCTI can be validated using the `secureIntrospectionPlugin`. The regex check in the plkugin can be bypassed by removing the carriage return and line feed characters (`\r\n`). Running a curl command against a local instance of OpenCTI will result in a limited error message. By running the same Introspection q
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (XSS or 'Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in django CMS Association django-cms allows Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).
This issue affects django-cms: 3.11.7, 3.11.8, 4.1.2, 4.1.3.
Openstack: deleting a non existing access rule deletes another existing access rule in it's scope
A flaw was found in OpenStack. When a user tries to delete a non-existing access rule in it's scope, it deletes other existing access rules which are not associated with any application credentials.
An open redirection vulnerability exists in pyload/pyload version 0.5.0. The vulnerability is due to improper handling of the 'next' parameter in the login functionality. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to redirect users to malicious sites, which can be used for phishing or other malicious activities. The issue is fixed in pyload-ng 0.5.0b3.dev79.
Cross-site Scripting (XSS) in janeczku/calibre-web
A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in janeczku/calibre-web, specifically in the file `edit_books.js`. The vulnerability occurs when editing book properties, such as uploading a cover or a format. The affected code directly inserts user input into the DOM without proper sanitization, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code. This can lead to various attacks, including stealing cookies. The issue is present in the code handling the `#btn-upload-cover` change event.
An improper access control vulnerability exists in janeczku/calibre-web. The affected version allows users without public shelf permissions to create public shelves. The vulnerability is due to the `create_shelf` method in `shelf.py` not verifying if the user has the necessary permissions to create a public shelf. This issue can lead to unauthorized actions being performed by users.
A vulnerability in janeczku/calibre-web allows unauthorized users to view the names of private shelves belonging to other users. This issue occurs in the file shelf.py at line 221, where the name of the shelf is exposed in an error message when a user attempts to remove a book from a shelf they do not own. This vulnerability discloses private information and affects all versions prior to the fix.
Apache Airflow: Sensitive configuration values are not masked in the logs by default
Apache Airflow versions before 2.10.3 contain a vulnerability that could expose sensitive configuration variables in task logs. This vulnerability allows DAG authors to unintentionally or intentionally log sensitive configuration variables. Unauthorized users could access these logs, potentially exposing critical data that could be exploited to compromise the security of the Airflow deployment. In version 2.10.3, secrets are now masked in task logs to prevent sensitive configuration variables from being exposed in the logging output. Users should upgrade to Airflow 2.10.3 or the latest version to eliminate this vulnerability. If you suspect t
Lack of login attempt rate-limiting in zenml-io/zenml
zenml-io/zenml version 0.56.4 is vulnerable to an account takeover due to the lack of rate-limiting in the password change function. An attacker can brute-force the current password in the 'Update Password' function, allowing them to take over the user's account. This vulnerability is due to the absence of rate-limiting on the '/api/v1/current-user' endpoint, which does not restrict the number of attempts an attacker can make to guess the current password. Successful exploitation results in the attacker being able to change the password and take control of the account.
Giskard is an evaluation and testing framework for AI systems. A Remote Code Execution (ReDoS) vulnerability was discovered in Giskard component by the GitHub Security Lab team. When processing datasets with specific text patterns with Giskard detectors, this vulnerability could trigger exponential regex evaluation times, potentially leading to denial of service. Giskard versions prior to 2.15.5 are affected.
The Salt-SSH pre-flight option copies the script to the target at a predictable path, which allows an attacker to force Salt-SSH to run their script. If an attacker has access to the target VM and knows the path to the pre-flight script before it runs they can ensure Salt-SSH runs their script with the privileges of the user running Salt-SSH. Do not make the copy path on the target predictable and ensure we check return codes of the scp command if the copy fails.
Improper validation of IPv6 and IPvFuture addresses
The urllib.parse.urlsplit() and urlparse() functions improperly validated bracketed hosts (`[]`), allowing hosts that weren't IPv6 or IPvFuture. This behavior was not conformant to RFC 3986 and potentially enabled SSRF if a URL is processed by more than one URL parser.
libosdp has a null pointer deref in osdp_reply_name
libosdp is an implementation of IEC 60839-11-5 OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol) and provides a C library with support for C++, Rust and Python3. At ospd_common.c, on the osdp_reply_name function, any reply id between REPLY_ACK and REPLY_XRD is valid, but names array do not declare all of the range. On a case of an undefined reply id within the range, name will be null (name = names[reply_id - REPLY_ACK];). Null name will casue a crash on next line: if (name[0] == '\0') as null[0] is invalid. As this logic is not limited to a secure connection, attacker may trigger this vulnerability without any prior knowledge. This issue is fixed in 2.
