    net/sched: taprio: avoid disabling offload when it was never enabled

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: taprio: avoid disabling offload when it was never enabled In an incredibly strange API design decision, qdisc->destroy() gets called even if qdisc->init() never succeeded, not exclusively since commit 87b60cfacf9f ("net_sched: fix error recovery at qdisc creation"), but apparently also earlier (in the case of qdisc_create_dflt()). The taprio qdisc does not fully acknowledge this when it attempts full offload, because it starts off with q->flags = TAPRIO_FLAGS_INVALID in taprio_init(), then it replaces q->flags with TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_FLAGS parsed from netlink (in t

    netfilter: ebtables: fix memory leak when blob is malformed

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: fix memory leak when blob is malformed The bug fix was incomplete, it "replaced" crash with a memory leak. The old code had an assignment to "ret" embedded into the conditional, restore this.

    s390/dasd: fix Oops in dasd_alias_get_start_dev due to missing pavgroup

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/dasd: fix Oops in dasd_alias_get_start_dev due to missing pavgroup Fix Oops in dasd_alias_get_start_dev() function caused by the pavgroup pointer being NULL. The pavgroup pointer is checked on the entrance of the function but without the lcu->lock being held. Therefore there is a race window between dasd_alias_get_start_dev() and _lcu_update() which sets pavgroup to NULL with the lcu->lock held. Fix by checking the pavgroup pointer with lcu->lock held.

    ext4: fix bug in extents parsing when eh_entries == 0 and eh_depth > 0

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix bug in extents parsing when eh_entries == 0 and eh_depth > 0 When walking through an inode extents, the ext4_ext_binsearch_idx() function assumes that the extent header has been previously validated. However, there are no checks that verify that the number of entries (eh->eh_entries) is non-zero when depth is > 0. And this will lead to problems because the EXT_FIRST_INDEX() and EXT_LAST_INDEX() will return garbage and result in this: [ 135.245946] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 135.247579] kernel BUG at fs/ext4/extents.c:2258! In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix list_add() corruption in lpfc_drain_txq() When parsing the txq list in lpfc_drain_txq(), the driver attempts to pass the requests to the adapter. If such an attempt fails, a local "fail_msg" string is set and a log message output. The job is then added to a completions list for cancellation. Processing of any further jobs from the txq list continues, but since "fail_msg" remains set, jobs are added to the completions list regardless of whether a wqe was passed to the adapter. If successfully added to txcmplq, jobs are added to both lists resulting in list

    iavf: free q_vectors before queues in iavf_disable_vf

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iavf: free q_vectors before queues in iavf_disable_vf iavf_free_queues() clears adapter->num_active_queues, which iavf_free_q_vectors() relies on, so swap the order of these two function calls in iavf_disable_vf(). This resolves a panic encountered when the interface is disabled and then later brought up again after PF communication is restored.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cfg80211: call cfg80211_stop_ap when switch from P2P_GO type If the userspace tools switch from NL80211_IFTYPE_P2P_GO to NL80211_IFTYPE_ADHOC via send_msg(NL80211_CMD_SET_INTERFACE), it does not call the cleanup cfg80211_stop_ap(), this leads to the initialization of in-use data. For example, this path re-init the sdata->assigned_chanctx_list while it is still an element of assigned_vifs list, and makes that linked list corrupt.

    scsi: core: sysfs: Fix hang when device state is set via sysfs

If the SCSI error handler thread is just starting to test the device in scsi_send_eh_cmnd() then it's going to try to grab the state_mutex. We are then stuck, because when scsi_rescan_device() tries to

    perf bpf: Avoid memory leak from perf_env__insert_btf()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf bpf: Avoid memory leak from perf_env__insert_btf() perf_env__insert_btf() doesn't insert if a duplicate BTF id is encountered and this causes a memory leak. Modify the function to return a success/error value and then free the memory if insertion didn't happen. v2. Adds a return -1 when the insertion error occurs in perf_env__fetch_btf. This doesn't affect anything as the result is never checked.

    btrfs: fix memory ordering between normal and ordered work functions

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix memory ordering between normal and ordered work functions Ordered work functions aren't guaranteed to be handled by the same thread which executed the normal work functions. The only way execution between normal/ordered functions is synchronized is via the WORK_DONE_BIT, unfortunately the used bitops don't guarantee any ordering whatsoever. This manifested as seemingly inexplicable crashes on ARM64, where async_chunk::inode is seen as non-null in async_cow_submit which causes submit_compressed_extents to be called and crash occurs because async_chunk::inode sudd

    arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998: Fix CPU/L2 idle state latency and residency

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: dts: qcom: msm8998: Fix CPU/L2 idle state latency and residency The entry/exit latency and minimum residency in state for the idle states of MSM8998 were ..bad: first of all, for all of them the timings were written for CPU sleep but the min-residency-us param was miscalculated (supposedly, while porting this from downstream); Then, the power collapse states are setting PC on both the CPU cluster *and* the L2 cache, which have different timings: in the specific case of L2 the times are higher so these ones should be taken into account instead of the CPU ones.
