ksmbd: validate session id and tree id in the compound request

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: validate session id and tree id in the compound request This patch validate session id and tree id in compound request. If first operation in the compound is SMB2 ECHO request, ksmbd bypass session and tree validation. So work->sess and work->tcon could be NULL. If secound request in the compound access work->sess or tcon, It cause NULL pointer dereferecing error.

ksmbd: fix out-of-bound read in smb2_write

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix out-of-bound read in smb2_write ksmbd_smb2_check_message doesn't validate hdr->NextCommand. If ->NextCommand is bigger than Offset + Length of smb2 write, It will allow oversized smb2 write length. It will cause OOB read in smb2_write.

    ksmbd: validate command request size

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: validate command request size In commit 2b9b8f3b68ed ("ksmbd: validate command payload size"), except for SMB2_OPLOCK_BREAK_HE command, the request size of other commands is not checked, it's not expected. Fix it by add check for request size of other commands.

    ksmbd: call rcu_barrier() in ksmbd_server_exit()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: call rcu_barrier() in ksmbd_server_exit() racy issue is triggered the bug by racing between closing a connection and rmmod. In ksmbd, rcu_barrier() is not called at module unload time, so nothing prevents ksmbd from getting unloaded while it still has RCU callbacks pending. It leads to trigger unintended execution of kernel code locally and use to defeat protections such as Kernel Lockdown

Kernel: memory leak via ksmbd session setup request with unknown ntlmssp message type

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component. A memory leak can occur if a client sends a session setup request with an unknown NTLMSSP message type, potentially leading to resource exhaustion.

Kernel: ksmbd race issue from smb2 close and logoff with multichannel

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component. A race condition between smb2 close operation and logoff in multichannel connections could result in a use-after-free issue.

Kernel: ksmbd brute force delay bypass via asynchronous requests

A vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component (kernel SMB/CIFS server). A security control designed to prevent dictionary attacks, which introduces a 5-second delay during session setup, can be bypassed through the use of asynchronous requests. This bypass negates the intended anti-brute-force protection, potentially allowing attackers to conduct dictionary attacks more efficiently against user credentials or other authentication mechanisms.

Kernel: ksmbd memory exhaustion denial-of-service vulnerability

A flaw exists within the Linux kernel's handling of new TCP connections. The issue results from the lack of memory release after its effective lifetime. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to create a denial of service condition on the system.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SVM: Don't BUG if userspace injects an interrupt with GIF=0 Don't BUG/WARN on interrupt injection due to GIF being cleared, since it's trivial for userspace to force the situation via KVM_SET_VCPU_EVENTS (even if having at least a WARN there would be correct for KVM internally generated injections). kernel BUG at arch/x86/kvm/svm/svm.c:3386! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP CPU: 15 PID: 926 Comm: smm_test Not tainted 5.17.0-rc3+ #264 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 0.0.0 02/06/2015 RIP: 0010:svm_inject_irq+0xab/0xb0 [kvm_amd] Code: <0

crypto: ccp - Use kzalloc for sev ioctl interfaces to prevent kernel memory leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ccp - Use kzalloc for sev ioctl interfaces to prevent kernel memory leak For some sev ioctl interfaces, input may be passed that is less than or equal to SEV_FW_BLOB_MAX_SIZE, but larger than the data that PSP firmware returns. In this case, kmalloc will allocate memory that is the size of the input rather than the size of the data. Since PSP firmware doesn't fully overwrite the buffer, the sev ioctl interfaces with the issue may return uninitialized slab memory. Currently, all of the ioctl interfaces in the ccp driver are safe, but to prevent future problems, chan

usbnet: Fix linkwatch use-after-free on disconnect

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usbnet: Fix linkwatch use-after-free on disconnect usbnet uses the work usbnet_deferred_kevent() to perform tasks which may sleep. On disconnect, completion of the work was originally awaited in ->ndo_stop(). But in 2003, that was moved to ->disconnect() by historic commit "[PATCH] USB: usbnet, prevent exotic rtnl deadlock": https://git.kernel.org/tglx/history/c/0f138bbfd83c The change was made because back then, the kernel's workqueue implementation did not allow waiting for a single work. One had to wait for completion of *all* work by calling flush_scheduled_work(

bpf: Fix KASAN use-after-free Read in compute_effective_progs

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix KASAN use-after-free Read in compute_effective_progs Syzbot found a Use After Free bug in compute_effective_progs(). The reproducer creates a number of BPF links, and causes a fault injected alloc to fail, while calling bpf_link_detach on them. Link detach triggers the link to be freed by bpf_link_free(), which calls __cgroup_bpf_detach() and update_effective_progs(). If the memory allocation in this function fails, the function restores the pointer to the bpf_cgroup_link on the cgroup list, but the memory gets freed just after it returns. After this, every subsequ
