    net/mlx5: Discard command completions in internal error

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Discard command completions in internal error Fix use after free when FW completion arrives while device is in internal error state. Avoid calling completion handler in this case, since the device will flush the command interface and trigger all completions manually. net: fec: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fec: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks There is a deadlock issue found in sungem driver, please refer to the commit ac0a230f719b ("eth: sungem: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks"). The root cause of the issue is that netpoll is in atomic context and disable_irq() is called by .ndo_poll_controller interface of sungem driver, however, disable_irq() might sleep. After analyzing the implementation of fec_poll_controller(), the fec driver should have the same issue. Due to the fec driver uses NAPI for TX completions, the .ndo_poll_controller is unn

    drm/amd/display: Fix potential index out of bounds in color transformation function

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix potential index out of bounds in color transformation function Fixes index out of bounds issue in the color transformation function. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, an error message is logged and the function returns false to indicate an error. Reported by smatch: drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn10/dcn10_cm_common.c:405 cm_helper_translate

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Add 0 size check to mtk_drm_gem_obj Add a check to mtk_drm_gem_init if we attempt to allocate a GEM object of 0 bytes. Currently, no such check exists and the kernel will panic if a userspace application attempts to allocate a 0x0 GBM buffer. Tested by attempting to allocate a 0x0 GBM buffer on an MT8188 and verifying that we now return EINVAL.

    RDMA/rxe: Fix seg fault in rxe_comp_queue_pkt

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix seg fault in rxe_comp_queue_pkt In rxe_comp_queue_pkt() an incoming response packet skb is enqueued to the resp_pkts queue and then a decision is made whether to run the completer task inline or schedule it. Finally the skb is dereferenced to bump a 'hw' performance counter. This is wrong because if the completer task is already running in a separate thread it may have already processed the skb and freed it which can cause a seg fault. This has been observed infrequently in testing at high scale. This patch fixes this by changing the order of enqueuing the p

    KEYS: trusted: Do not use WARN when encode fails

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KEYS: trusted: Do not use WARN when encode fails When asn1_encode_sequence() fails, WARN is not the correct solution. 1. asn1_encode_sequence() is not an internal function (located in lib/asn1_encode.c). 2. Location is known, which makes the stack trace useless. 3. Results a crash if panic_on_warn is set. It is also noteworthy that the use of WARN is undocumented, and it should be avoided unless there is a carefully considered rationale to use it. Replace WARN with pr_err, and print the return value instead, which is only useful piece of information.

    net/sched: taprio: always validate TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_PRIOMAP

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: taprio: always validate TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_PRIOMAP If one TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_PRIOMAP attribute has been provided, taprio_parse_mqprio_opt() must validate it, or userspace can inject arbitrary data to the kernel, the second time taprio_change() is called. First call (with valid attributes) sets dev->num_tc to a non zero value. Second call (with arbitrary mqprio attributes) returns early from taprio_parse_mqprio_opt() and bad things can happen.

    af_unix: Update unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb under sk_receive_queue lock.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Update unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb under sk_receive_queue lock. Billy Jheng Bing-Jhong reported a race between __unix_gc() and queue_oob(). __unix_gc() tries to garbage-collect close()d inflight sockets, and then if the socket has MSG_OOB in unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb, GC will drop the reference and set NULL to it locklessly. However, the peer socket still can send MSG_OOB message and queue_oob() can update unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb concurrently, leading NULL pointer dereference. [0] To fix the issue, let's update unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb under the sk_receive_queue's lock and take it

    net: fix __dst_negative_advice() race

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix __dst_negative_advice() race __dst_negative_advice() does not enforce proper RCU rules when sk->dst_cache must be cleared, leading to possible UAF. RCU rules are that we must first clear sk->sk_dst_cache, then call dst_release(old_dst). Note that sk_dst_reset(sk) is implementing this protocol correctly, while __dst_negative_advice() uses the wrong order. Given that ip6_negative_advice() has special logic against RTF_CACHE, this means each of the three ->negative_advice() existing methods must perform the sk_dst_reset() themselves. Note the check against NULL ds

    drm/amd/display: Fix division by zero in setup_dsc_config

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix division by zero in setup_dsc_config When slice_height is 0, the division by slice_height in the calculation of the number of slices will cause a division by zero driver crash. This leaves the kernel in a state that requires a reboot. This patch adds a check to avoid the division by zero. The stack trace below is for the 6.8.4 Kernel. I reproduced the issue on a Z16 Gen 2 Lenovo Thinkpad with a Apple Studio Display monitor connected via Thunderbolt. The amdgpu driver crashed with this exception when I rebooted the system with the monitor connected. ke

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix div-by-zero in l2cap_le_flowctl_init() l2cap_le_flowctl_init() can cause both div-by-zero and an integer overflow since hdev->le_mtu may not fall in the valid range. Move MTU from hci_dev to hci_conn to validate MTU and stop the connection process earlier if MTU is invalid. Also, add a missing validation in read_buffer_size() and make it return an error value if the validation fails. Now hci_conn_add() returns ERR_PTR() as it can fail due to the both a kzalloc failure and invalid MTU value. divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN NOPTI CPU: 0 PID:

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: mediatek: Make sure IPI buffer fits in L2TCM The IPI buffer location is read from the firmware that we load to the System Companion Processor, and it's not granted that both the SRAM (L2TCM) size that is defined in the devicetree node is large enough for that, and while this is especially true for multi-core SCP, it's still useful to check on single-core variants as well. Failing to perform this check may make this driver perform R/W operations out of the L2TCM boundary, resulting (at best) in a kernel panic. To fix that, check that the IPI buffer fits, otherw
