usb: typec: tcpci: fix of node refcount leak in tcpci_register_port()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: tcpci: fix of node refcount leak in tcpci_register_port() I got the following report while doing device(mt6370-tcpc) load test with CONFIG_OF_UNITTEST and CONFIG_OF_DYNAMIC enabled: OF: ERROR: memory leak, expected refcount 1 instead of 2, of_node_get()/of_node_put() unbalanced - destroy cset entry: attach overlay node /i2c/pmic@34/tcpc/connector The 'fwnode' set in tcpci_parse_config() which is called in tcpci_register_port(), its node refcount is increased in device_get_named_child_node(). rapidio: fix possible UAF when kfifo_alloc() fails

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rapidio: fix possible UAF when kfifo_alloc() fails If kfifo_alloc() fails in mport_cdev_open(), goto err_fifo and just free priv. But priv is still in the chdev->file_list, then list traversal may cause UAF. This fixes the following smatch warning: drivers/rapidio/devices/rio_mport_cdev.c:1930 mport_cdev_open() warn: '&priv->list' not removed from list

cxl: fix possible null-ptr-deref in cxl_pci_init_afu|adapter()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl: fix possible null-ptr-deref in cxl_pci_init_afu|adapter() If device_register() fails in cxl_pci_afu|adapter(), the device is not added, device_unregister() can not be called in the error path, otherwise it will cause a null-ptr-deref because of removing not added device. As comment of device_register() says, it should use put_device() to give up the reference in the error path. So split device_unregister() into device_del() and put_device(), then goes to put dev when register fails.

sctp: handle the error returned from sctp_auth_asoc_init_active_key

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: handle the error returned from sctp_auth_asoc_init_active_key When it returns an error from sctp_auth_asoc_init_active_key(), the active_key is actually not updated. The old sh_key will be freeed while it's still used as active key in asoc. Then an use-after-free will be triggered when sending patckets, as found by syzbot: sctp_auth_shkey_hold+0x22/0xa0 net/sctp/auth.c:112 sctp_set_owner_w net/sctp/socket.c:132 [inline] sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc+0xbd5/0x1a20 net/sctp/socket.c:1863 sctp_sendmsg+0x1053/0x1d50 net/sctp/socket.c:2025 inet_sendmsg+0x99/0xe0 net/ipv4/

NFSD: fix use-after-free on source server when doing inter-server copy

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: fix use-after-free on source server when doing inter-server copy Use-after-free occurred when the laundromat tried to free expired cpntf_state entry on the s2s_cp_stateids list after inter-server copy completed. The sc_cp_list that the expired copy state was inserted on was already freed. When COPY completes, the Linux client normally sends LOCKU(lock_state x), FREE_STATEID(lock_state x) and CLOSE(open_state y) to the source server. The nfs4_put_stid call from nfsd4_free_stateid cleans up the copy state from the s2s_cp_stateids list before freeing the lock state's st

tls: separate no-async decryption request handling from async

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: separate no-async decryption request handling from async If we're not doing async, the handling is much simpler. There's no reference counting, we just need to wait for the completion to wake us up and return its result. We should preferably also use a separate crypto_wait. I'm not seeing a UAF as I did in the past, I think aec7961916f3 ("tls: fix race between async notify and socket close") took care of it. This will make the next fix easier.

tls: stop recv() if initial process_rx_list gave us non-DATA

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: stop recv() if initial process_rx_list gave us non-DATA If we have a non-DATA record on the rx_list and another record of the same type still on the queue, we will end up merging them: - process_rx_list copies the non-DATA record - we start the loop and process the first available record since it's of the same type - we break out of the loop since the record was not DATA Just check the record type and jump to the end in case process_rx_list did some work.

ksmbd: fix out of bounds read in smb2_sess_setup

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix out of bounds read in smb2_sess_setup ksmbd does not consider the case of that smb2 session setup is in compound request. If this is the second payload of the compound, OOB read issue occurs while processing the first payload in the smb2_sess_setup().

ksmbd: fix wrong next length validation of ea buffer in smb2_set_ea()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix wrong next length validation of ea buffer in smb2_set_ea() There are multiple smb2_ea_info buffers in FILE_FULL_EA_INFORMATION request from client. ksmbd find next smb2_ea_info using ->NextEntryOffset of current smb2_ea_info. ksmbd need to validate buffer length Before accessing the next ea. ksmbd should check buffer length using buf_len, not next variable. next is the start offset of current ea that got from previous ea.

ksmbd: validate session id and tree id in the compound request

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: validate session id and tree id in the compound request This patch validate session id and tree id in compound request. If first operation in the compound is SMB2 ECHO request, ksmbd bypass session and tree validation. So work->sess and work->tcon could be NULL. If secound request in the compound access work->sess or tcon, It cause NULL pointer dereferecing error.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: call rcu_barrier() in ksmbd_server_exit() racy issue is triggered the bug by racing between closing a connection and rmmod. In ksmbd, rcu_barrier() is not called at module unload time, so nothing prevents ksmbd from getting unloaded while it still has RCU callbacks pending. It leads to trigger unintended execution of kernel code locally and use to defeat protections such as Kernel Lockdown
