    RDMA/counter: Fix num_counters leak on bind_qp failure in alloc_and_bind()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/counter: Fix num_counters leak on bind_qp failure in alloc_and_bind() When __rdma_counter_bind_qp() fails in alloc_and_bind(), the error path jumps to err_mode which frees the counter without decrementing port_counter->num_counters. The only place that decrements is rdma_counter_free(), which is unreachable since the counter was never successfully bound. This leak accumulates across repeated failures, permanently preventing the port from switching to AUTO mode (-EBUSY in __counter_set_mode()) and blocking the MANUAL→NONE auto-revert in rdma_counter_free(). When the mo

    wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error This fixes a kernel panic in reconfig failure: 1. we have a BSS connection 2. we have a NAN connection 3. FW error occurs 4. reconfig restores the BSS connection 5. however, restoring the NAN connection fails due to a FW error. 6. erroneously, ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is called and marks all interfaces as not-in-driver (will be fixed in a different patch). 7. mac80211 frees the links of the BSS connection but doesn't tell the driver about that, as it thinks that this vif is not in the driver. 8. in

    wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix P2P-Device binding handling

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix P2P-Device binding handling Our binding handling for P2P-Device can run into the following scenario, as observed by our testing: - a station interface is connected on some channel - the P2P-Device does a remain-on-channel (ROC) on that channel - the ROC ends, and the P2P-Device is removed from the binding, but the phy_ctxt pointer is left around as a PHY cache so we don't need to recalibrate to the channel again and again in case it's not shared - a binding update by the station interface, even a removal, will re-add the P2P-Device t

    drm/amdgpu/ras: add ras_suspend callback and use it for cp_ecc_error_irq

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/ras: add ras_suspend callback and use it for cp_ecc_error_irq cp_ecc_error_irq is acquired in amdgpu_gfx_ras_late_init() but released in gfx_v9_0_hw_fini(), so the put site has to query amdgpu_irq_enabled() because the get is skipped on SR-IOV VF. ras_late_init / ras_fini have no suspend counterpart, so move the put to amdgpu_gfx_ras_suspend() / amdgpu_gfx_ras_fini() and add a matching ras_suspend callback that is invoked from amdgpu_ras_suspend() before disable_all_features(). The get and put now sit in the same place and check the same condition (not VF, func

    cxl/region: Validate partition index before array access

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/region: Validate partition index before array access construct_region() reads cxled->part and uses it to index cxlds->part[] without checking for a negative value. If the partition was never resolved, part remains at its initial value of -1, causing an out-of-bounds array access. Add a guard to return -EBUSY when part is negative. The check was dropped during a merge.

    drm/amdkfd: fix SMI event cross-process information leak

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: fix SMI event cross-process information leak kfd_smi_ev_enabled() skips the suser privilege check when pid=0. PROCESS_START, PROCESS_END, and VMFAULT events are emitted with pid=0 while carrying another process's PID and command name, so any /dev/kfd user in the render group can monitor all GPU workloads. Pass the target process PID into kfd_smi_event_add() for these events so the existing per-client filter restricts delivery to the owning process or CAP_SYS_ADMIN subscribers.

    ASoC: mediatek: mt8365-afe-pcm: fix possible NULL-pointer dereferences in mt8365_afe_suspend()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: mediatek: mt8365-afe-pcm: fix possible NULL-pointer dereferences in mt8365_afe_suspend() mt8365_afe_suspend() allocates the register backup buffer with devm_kcalloc(), but does not check for allocation failure before using the returned pointer. This may lead to a NULL pointer dereference when accessing afe->reg_back_up[i]. Add the missing NULL check and return -ENOMEM on allocation failure after disabling the main clock. Also propagate the return value of mt8365_afe_suspend() in mt8365_afe_dev_runtime_suspend() so that the suspended state is not updated when suspend

    netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target() drop_netconsole_target() unlinks the target while only holding target_list_lock. However, when the underlying interface has been unregistered, netconsole_netdev_event() moves the target from target_list to target_cleanup_list, and netconsole_process_cleanups_core() walks that list under target_cleanup_list_lock only. If a user removes the configfs target at the same time the cleanup worker is iterating target_cleanup_list, list_del() can corrupt the list because the two paths take disjoint locks while op

    virtio-fs: avoid double-free on failed queue setup

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-fs: avoid double-free on failed queue setup virtio_fs_setup_vqs() allocates fs->vqs and fs->mq_map before calling virtio_find_vqs(). If virtio_find_vqs() fails, the error path frees both pointers and returns an error to virtio_fs_probe(). virtio_fs_probe() then drops the last kobject reference, and virtio_fs_ktype_release() frees fs->vqs and fs->mq_map again. This leaves dangling pointers in struct virtio_fs and can trigger a double-free during probe failure cleanup. Set fs->vqs and fs->mq_map to NULL immediately after kfree() in the virtio_fs_setup_vqs() error pat

    ksmbd: fix maximum allowed access checks

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix maximum allowed access checks The DACL permission check looks for an ACE matching the current user and falls back to the Everyone ACE. It does not consider an Authenticated Users ACE, even though an authenticated session is a member of that well-known group. As a result, opening a file whose access is granted through S-1-5-11 can incorrectly fail with STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. Treat an Authenticated Users ACE as a fallback entry alongside Everyone. The maximal access calculation also combines access masks from every ACE, regardless of whether its SID applies to the

    remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Fix handling the lack of PD regulators in v3

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Fix handling the lack of PD regulators in v3 The changes introduced to handle single power domain platforms have swapped the info pointer increment from num_pd_vregs to num_pds, which would shift the info pointer past the end of the array for pronto-v3, which does not list power domain regulators in vregs. This showed up as a difference between GCC- and LLVM-compiled kernels on SDM632 devices, where only with LLVM one would get the "regulator request with no identifier" error, because the out-of-bounds memory ended up being zeroed. powerpc/xive: propagate IPI init errors to prevent use-after-free

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/xive: propagate IPI init errors to prevent use-after-free When xive_init_ipis() fails (e.g. irq_domain_alloc_irqs() fails), the error path frees the global xive_ipis array. However, xive_smp_probe() previously ignored this failure and proceeded to call xive_setup_cpu_ipi(), which dereferences the already-freed xive_ipis pointer -- a use-after-free. Now that xive_smp_probe() returns int (previous patch), propagate the error from xive_init_ipis() and xive_setup_cpu_ipi() through xive_smp_probe(). Check the return value in both pnv_smp_probe() and pSeries_smp_probe(

    ACPI: bus: Introduce acpi_bus_get_primary_device()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: bus: Introduce acpi_bus_get_primary_device() The function used for obtaining the first "physical" device for which the given ACPI one is the ACPI companion, acpi_get_first_physical_node(), may return a stale device pointer (mostly in theory) because acpi_unbind_one() may run as a whole after dropping the ACPI device's physical_node_lock in acpi_get_first_physical_node() and before it returns. The last reference to the "physical" device may be dropped then before the pointer to it is returned to the caller. If that happens and the acpi_get_first_physical_node() calle

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: memcg: bypass the reclaim and oom killer for dying tasks once oom_reaper is done At Meta, we are seeing instances where an OOM killed job is stuck in the exit path for several hours. In one particular case, the job was stuck for more than 8 hours and I had to manually remove the memory.max limits to allow the process to exit. The job was a single process job and had ~55 GiB memory.max and zswap enabled. It had almost 0 anon in memory and ~111 GiB in zswap compressed to ~51 GiB zswap pool (i.e. almost all of memory.current was zswap). Nothing was left on the LRUs to rec
