    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ath9k_htc: fix uninit value bugs Syzbot reported 2 KMSAN bugs in ath9k. All of them are caused by missing field initialization. In htc_connect_service() svc_meta_len and pad are not initialized. Based on code it looks like in current skb there is no service data, so simply initialize svc_meta_len to 0. htc_issue_send() does not initialize htc_frame_hdr::control array.     In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_netlink: Fix shift out of bounds in group mask calculation When a netlink message is received, netlink_recvmsg() fills in the address of the sender. One of the fields is the 32-bit bitfield nl_groups, which carries the multicast group on which the message was received. The least significant bit corresponds to group 1, and therefore the highest group that the field can represent is 32. Above that, the UB sanitizer flags the out-of-bounds shift attempts. Which bits end up being set in such case is implementation defined, but it's either going to be a wrong non-zero value,

But the unregister may have freed phb, because pcibios_free_controller_deferred() is the release function for the host_bridge. If there are no outstanding references when we call device_unregister() then phb will be freed out from under us.     In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mxser: fix xmit_buf leak in activate when LSR == 0xff When LSR is 0xff in ->activate() (rather unlike), we return an error. Provided ->shutdown() is not called when ->activate() fails, nothing actually frees the buffer in this case. Fix this by properly freeing the buffer in a designated label. We jump there also from the "!info->type" if now too.

And it's required to release the resource using free_resource(). Howerver, many people use kfree directly which will result in kernel BUG. In order to fix this without fixing every call site, just leak a couple of bytes in such corner case.

When these occur, the cache line is not invalidated and potentially we get memory corruption. The problem was hidden by the nullification of the flush instructions. These faults also affect performance. With pa8800/pa8900 processors, there will be 32 faults per 4 KB page since the cache line is 128 bytes. There will be more faults with earlier processors.     In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not clean up repair bio if submit fails The submit helper will always run bio_endio() on the bio if it fails to submit, so cleaning up the bio just leads to a variety of use-after-free and NULL pointer dereference bugs because we race with the endio function that is cleaning up the bio. Instead just return BLK_STS_OK as the repair function has to continue to process the rest of the pages, and the endio for the repair bio will do the appropriate cleanup for the page that it was given.

There is an equivalent problem in trechkpt where the user r13 value is loaded into r13 from chkpt_regs to be recheckpointed, but a SLB miss could occur on ckpt_regs accesses after that, which will result in r13 being clobbered
