In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: lapbether: handle NETDEV_PRE_TYPE_CHANGE lapbeth_data_transmit() expects the underlying device type to be ARPHRD_ETHER. Returning NOTIFY_BAD from lapbeth_device_event() makes sure bonding driver can not break this expectation.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: ioam: fix potential NULL dereferences in __ioam6_fill_trace_data() We need to check __in6_dev_get() for possible NULL value, as suggested by Yiming Qian. Also add skb_dst_dev_rcu() instead of skb_dst_dev(), and two missing READ_ONCE(). Note that @dev can't be NULL.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: icmp: fix null-ptr-deref in icmp_build_probe() ipv6_stub->ipv6_dev_find() may return ERR_PTR(-EAFNOSUPPORT) when the IPv6 stack is not active (CONFIG_IPV6=m and not loaded), and passing this error pointer to dev_hold() will cause a kernel crash with null-ptr-deref. Instead, silently discard the request. RFC 8335 does not appear to define a specific response for the case where an IPv6 interface identifier is syntactically valid but the implementation cannot perform the lookup at runtime, and silently dropping the request may safer than misreporting "No Such Interface"
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: s3fwrn5: allocate rx skb before consuming bytes s3fwrn82_uart_read() reports the number of accepted bytes to the serdev core. The current code consumes bytes into recv_skb and may already deliver a complete frame before allocating a fresh receive buffer. If that alloc_skb() fails, the callback returns 0 even though it has already consumed bytes, and it leaves recv_skb as NULL for the next receive callback. That breaks the receive_buf() accounting contract and can also lead to a NULL dereference on the next skb_put_u8(). Allocate the receive skb lazily before consumin
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: tighten UMEM headroom validation to account for tailroom and min frame The current headroom validation in xdp_umem_reg() could leave us with insufficient space dedicated to even receive minimum-sized ethernet frame. Furthermore if multi-buffer would come to play then skb_shared_info stored at the end of XSK frame would be corrupted. HW typically works with 128-aligned sizes so let us provide this value as bare minimum. Multi-buffer setting is known later in the configuration process so besides accounting for 128 bytes, let us also take care of tailroom space upfront.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: Wait for RCU readers during policy netns exit xfrm_policy_fini() frees the policy_bydst hash tables after flushing the policy work items and deleting all policies, but it does not wait for concurrent RCU readers to leave their read-side critical sections first. The policy_bydst tables are published via rcu_assign_pointer() and are looked up through rcu_dereference_check(), so netns teardown must also wait for an RCU grace period before freeing the table memory. Fix this by adding synchronize_rcu() before freeing the policy hash tables.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm_user: fix info leak in build_mapping() struct xfrm_usersa_id has a one-byte padding hole after the proto field, which ends up never getting set to zero before copying out to userspace. Fix that up by zeroing out the whole structure before setting individual variables.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: af_key: zero aligned sockaddr tail in PF_KEY exports PF_KEY export paths use `pfkey_sockaddr_size()` when reserving sockaddr payload space, so IPv6 addresses occupy 32 bytes on the wire. However, `pfkey_sockaddr_fill()` initializes only the first 28 bytes of `struct sockaddr_in6`, leaving the final 4 aligned bytes uninitialized. Not every PF_KEY message is affected. The state and policy dump builders already zero the whole message buffer before filling the sockaddr payloads. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_log: initialize nfgenmsg in NLMSG_DONE terminator When batching multiple NFLOG messages (inst->qlen > 1), __nfulnl_send() appends an NLMSG_DONE terminator with sizeof(struct nfgenmsg) payload via nlmsg_put(), but never initializes the nfgenmsg bytes. The nlmsg_put() helper only zeroes alignment padding after the payload, not the payload itself, so four bytes of stale kernel heap data are leaked to userspace in the NLMSG_DONE message body. Use nfnl_msg_put() to build the NLMSG_DONE terminator, which initializes the nfgenmsg payload via nfnl_fill_hdr(),
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: l2tp: Drop large packets with UDP encap syzbot reported a WARN on my patch series [1]. The actual issue is an overflow of 16-bit UDP length field, and it exists in the upstream code. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/uncore: Skip discovery table for offline dies This warning can be triggered if NUMA is disabled and the system boots with fewer CPUs than the number of CPUs in die 0. WARNING: CPU: 9 PID: 7257 at uncore.c:1157 uncore_pci_pmu_register+0x136/0x160 [intel_uncore] Currently, the discovery table continues to be parsed even if all CPUs in the associated die are offline. This can lead to an array overflow at "pmu->boxes[die] = box" in uncore_pci_pmu_register(), which may trigger the warning above or cause other issues.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: af_alg - Fix page reassignment overflow in af_alg_pull_tsgl When page reassignment was added to af_alg_pull_tsgl the original loop wasn't updated so it may try to reassign one more page than necessary. Add the check to the reassignment so that this does not happen. Also update the comment which still refers to the obsolete offset argument.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: validate inline data i_size during inode read When reading an inode from disk, ocfs2_validate_inode_block() performs various sanity checks but does not validate the size of inline data. If the filesystem is corrupted, an inode's i_size can exceed the actual inline data capacity (id_count). This causes ocfs2_dir_foreach_blk_id() to iterate beyond the inline data buffer, triggering a use-after-free when accessing directory entries from freed memory. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix out-of-bounds write in ocfs2_write_end_inline KASAN reports a use-after-free write of 4086 bytes in ocfs2_write_end_inline, called from ocfs2_write_end_nolock during a copy_file_range splice fallback on a corrupted ocfs2 filesystem mounted on a loop device. The actual bug is an out-of-bounds write past the inode block buffer, not a true use-after-free. The write overflows into an adjacent freed page, which KASAN reports as UAF. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86-64: rename misleadingly named '__copy_user_nocache()' function This function was a masterclass in bad naming, for various historical reasons. It claimed to be a non-cached user copy. It is literally _neither_ of those things. It's a specialty memory copy routine that uses non-temporal stores for the destination (but not the source), and that does exception handling for both source and destination accesses. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_ll: Fix firmware leak on error path Smatch reports: drivers/bluetooth/hci_ll.c:587 download_firmware() warn: 'fw' from request_firmware() not released on lines: 544. In download_firmware(), if request_firmware() succeeds but the returned firmware content is invalid (no data or zero size), the function returns without releasing the firmware, resulting in a resource leak. Fix this by calling release_firmware() before returning when request_firmware() succeeded but the firmware content is invalid.
