Bluetooth: btusb: revert use of devm_kzalloc in btusb

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: revert use of devm_kzalloc in btusb This reverts commit 98921dbd00c4e ("Bluetooth: Use devm_kzalloc in btusb.c file"). In btusb_probe(), we use devm_kzalloc() to allocate the btusb data. This ties the lifetime of all the btusb data to the binding of a driver to one interface, INTF. In a driver that binds to other interfaces, ISOC and DIAG, this is an accident waiting to happen. The issue is revealed in btusb_disconnect(), where calling usb_driver_release_interface(&btusb_driver, data->intf) will have devm free the data that is also being used by the othe

scsi: aic94xx: fix use-after-free in device removal path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: aic94xx: fix use-after-free in device removal path The asd_pci_remove() function fails to synchronize with pending tasklets before freeing the asd_ha structure, leading to a potential use-after-free vulnerability. When a device removal is triggered (via hot-unplug or module unload), race condition can occur. The fix adds tasklet_kill() before freeing the asd_ha structure, ensuring all scheduled tasklets complete before cleanup proceeds.

    functionfs: fix the open/removal races

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: functionfs: fix the open/removal races ffs_epfile_open() can race with removal, ending up with file->private_data pointing to freed object. There is a total count of opened files on functionfs (both ep0 and dynamic ones) and when it hits zero, dynamic files get removed. Unfortunately, that removal can happen while another thread is in ffs_epfile_open(), but has not incremented the count yet. In that case open will succeed, leaving us with UAF on any subsequent read() or write(). The root cause is that ffs->opened is misused; atomic_dec_and_test() vs. atomic_add_return() i

Input: lkkbd - disable pending work before freeing device

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: lkkbd - disable pending work before freeing device lkkbd_interrupt() schedules lk->tq via schedule_work(), and the work handler lkkbd_reinit() dereferences the lkkbd structure and its serio/input_dev fields. lkkbd_disconnect() and error paths in lkkbd_connect() free the lkkbd structure without preventing the reinit work from being queued again until serio_close() returns. This can allow the work handler to run after the structure has been freed, leading to a potential use-after-free. Use disable_work_sync() instead of cancel_work_sync() to ensure the reinit work ca

f2fs: invalidate dentry cache on failed whiteout creation

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: invalidate dentry cache on failed whiteout creation F2FS can mount filesystems with corrupted directory depth values that get runtime-clamped to MAX_DIR_HASH_DEPTH. When RENAME_WHITEOUT operations are performed on such directories, f2fs_rename performs directory modifications (updating target entry and deleting source entry) before attempting to add the whiteout entry via f2fs_add_link. If f2fs_add_link fails due to the corrupted directory structure, the function returns an error to VFS, but the partial directory modifications have already been committed to disk. VFS

During device detachment, the original implementation calls flush_workqueue() in psmouse_disconnect() to ensure completion of dev3_register_work. However, the flush_workqueue() in psmouse_disconnect() only blocks and waits for work items that were already queued to the workqueue prior to its invocation. Any work i

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-usb: dtv5100: fix out-of-bounds in dtv5100_i2c_msg() rlen value is a user-controlled value, but dtv5100_i2c_msg() does not check the size of the rlen value. Therefore, if it is set to a value larger than sizeof(st->data), an out-of-bounds vuln occurs for st->data. Therefore, we need to add proper range checking to prevent this vuln.

ipvs: fix ipv4 null-ptr-deref in route error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: fix ipv4 null-ptr-deref in route error path The IPv4 code path in __ip_vs_get_out_rt() calls dst_link_failure() without ensuring skb->dev is set, leading to a NULL pointer dereference in fib_compute_spec_dst() when ipv4_link_failure() attempts to send ICMP destination unreachable messages. The issue emerged after commit ed0de45a1008 ("ipv4: recompile ip options in ipv4_link_failure") started calling __ip_options_compile() from ipv4_link_failure(). This code path eventually calls fib_compute_spec_dst() which dereferences skb->dev. An attempt was made to fix the NULL s

caif: fix integer underflow in cffrml_receive()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: caif: fix integer underflow in cffrml_receive() The cffrml_receive() function extracts a length field from the packet header and, when FCS is disabled, subtracts 2 from this length without validating that len >= 2. If an attacker sends a malicious packet with a length field of 0 or 1 to an interface with FCS disabled, the subtraction causes an integer underflow. This can lead to memory exhaustion and kernel instability, potential information disclosure if padding contains uninitialized kernel memory. Fix this by validating that len >= 2 before performing the subtraction.

However, the function unconditionally executes readb(apbs[IndexCard].RamIO + VERS) at the end. ethtool: Avoid overflowing userspace buffer on stats query

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethtool: Avoid overflowing userspace buffer on stats query The ethtool -S command operates across three ioctl calls: ETHTOOL_GSSET_INFO for the size, ETHTOOL_GSTRINGS for the names, and ETHTOOL_GSTATS for the values. If the number of stats changes between these calls (e.g., due to device reconfiguration), userspace's buffer allocation will be incorrect, potentially leading to buffer overflow. Drivers are generally expected to maintain stable stat counts, but some drivers (e.g., mlx5, bnx2x, bna, ksz884x) use dynamic counters, making this scenario possible. Some drivers t

usb: phy: fsl-usb: Fix use-after-free in delayed work during device removal

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: phy: fsl-usb: Fix use-after-free in delayed work during device removal The delayed work item otg_event is initialized in fsl_otg_conf() and scheduled under two conditions: 1. When a host controller binds to the OTG controller. 2. When the USB ID pin state changes (cable insertion/removal). A race condition occurs when the device is removed via fsl_otg_remove(): the fsl_otg instance may be freed while the delayed work is still pending or executing. This leads to use-after-free when the work function fsl_otg_event() accesses the already freed memory. The problematic sc
