net: ethernet: lantiq_etop: fix memory disclosure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethernet: lantiq_etop: fix memory disclosure When applying padding, the buffer is not zeroed, which results in memory disclosure. The mentioned data is observed on the wire. This patch uses skb_put_padto() to pad Ethernet frames properly. The mentioned function zeroes the expanded buffer. In case the packet cannot be padded it is silently dropped. Statistics are also not incremented. This driver does not support statistics in the old 32-bit format or the new 64-bit format. These will be added in the future. In its current form, the patch should be easily backported to

uprobes: fix kernel info leak via "[uprobes]" vma

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: uprobes: fix kernel info leak via "[uprobes]" vma xol_add_vma() maps the uninitialized page allocated by __create_xol_area() into userspace. On some architectures (x86) this memory is readable even without VM_READ, VM_EXEC results in the same pgprot_t as VM_EXEC|VM_READ, although this doesn't really matter, debugger can read this memory anyway.

mailbox: bcm2835: Fix timeout during suspend mode

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: bcm2835: Fix timeout during suspend mode During noirq suspend phase the Raspberry Pi power driver suffer of firmware property timeouts. The reason is that the IRQ of the underlying BCM2835 mailbox is disabled and rpi_firmware_property_list() will always run into a timeout [1]. Since the VideoCore side isn't consider as a wakeup source, set the IRQF_NO_SUSPEND flag for the mailbox IRQ in order to keep it enabled during suspend-resume cycle. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: stop waiting for space when jbd2_cleanup_journal_tail() returns error In __jbd2_log_wait_for_space(), we might call jbd2_cleanup_journal_tail() to recover some journal space. But if an error occurs while executing jbd2_cleanup_journal_tail() (e.g., an EIO), we don't stop waiting for free space right away, we try other branches, and if j_committing_transaction is NULL (i.e., the tid is 0), we will get the following complain: ============================================ JBD2: I/O error when updating journal superblock for sdd-8. __jbd2_log_wait_for_space: needed 256 bl

ocfs2: fix null-ptr-deref when journal load failed.

During the mounting process, if journal_reset() fails because of too short journal, then lead to jbd2_journal_load() fails with NULL j_sb_buffer. Subsequently, ocfs2_journal_shutdown() calls jbd2_journal_flush()->jbd2_cleanup_journal_tail()-> __jbd2_update_log_tail()->jbd2_journal_update_sb_log_tail() ->lock_buffer(journal->j_sb_buffer), resulting in a null-pointer dereference error. net: add more sanity checks to qdisc_pkt_len_init()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: add more sanity checks to qdisc_pkt_len_init() One path takes care of SKB_GSO_DODGY, assuming skb->len is bigger than hdr_len. virtio_net_hdr_to_skb() does not fully dissect TCP headers, it only make sure it is at least 20 bytes. It is possible for an user to provide a malicious 'GSO' packet, total length of 80 bytes. - 20 bytes of IPv4 header - 60 bytes TCP header - a small gso_size like 8 virtio_net_hdr_to_skb() would declare this packet as a normal GSO packet, because it would see 40 bytes of payload, bigger than gso_size. sctp: set sk_state back to CLOSED if autobind fails in sctp_listen_start

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: set sk_state back to CLOSED if autobind fails in sctp_listen_start In sctp_listen_start() invoked by sctp_inet_listen(), it should set the sk_state back to CLOSED if sctp_autobind() fails due to whatever reason. Otherwise, next time when calling sctp_inet_listen(), if sctp_sk(sk)->reuse is already set via setsockopt(SCTP_REUSE_PORT), sctp_sk(sk)->bind_hash will be dereferenced as sk_state is LISTENING, which causes a crash as bind_hash is NULL. wifi: ath9k_htc: Use __skb_set_length() for resetting urb before resubmit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: Use __skb_set_length() for resetting urb before resubmit Syzbot points out that skb_trim() has a sanity check on the existing length of the skb, which can be uninitialised in some error paths. The intent here is clearly just to reset the length to zero before resubmitting, so switch to calling __skb_set_length(skb, 0) directly. In addition, __skb_set_length() already contains a call to skb_reset_tail_pointer(), so remove the redundant call. The syzbot report came from ath9k_hif_usb_reg_in_cb(), but there's a similar usage of skb_trim() in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_

wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: avoid NULL pointer dereference

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: avoid NULL pointer dereference iwl_mvm_tx_skb_sta() and iwl_mvm_tx_mpdu() verify that the mvmvsta pointer is not NULL. It retrieves this pointer using iwl_mvm_sta_from_mac80211, which is dereferencing the ieee80211_sta pointer. If sta is NULL, iwl_mvm_sta_from_mac80211 will dereference a NULL pointer. Fix this by checking the sta pointer before retrieving the mvmsta from it. If sta is not NULL, then mvmsta isn't either.
