hwrng: virtio - Fix race on data_avail and actual data

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwrng: virtio - Fix race on data_avail and actual data The virtio rng device kicks off a new entropy request whenever the data available reaches zero. When a new request occurs at the end of a read operation, that is, when the result of that request is only needed by the next reader, then there is a race between the writing of the new data and the next reader. This is because there is no synchronisation whatsoever between the writer and the reader. Fix this by writing data_avail with smp_store_release and reading it with smp_load_acquire when we first enter read. The su

ceph: fix potential use-after-free bug when trimming caps

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: fix potential use-after-free bug when trimming caps When trimming the caps and just after the 'session->s_cap_lock' is released in ceph_iterate_session_caps() the cap maybe removed by another thread, and when using the stale cap memory in the callbacks it will trigger use-after-free crash. We need to check the existence of the cap just after the 'ci->i_ceph_lock' being acquired. And do nothing if it's already removed.

wifi: ath9k: avoid uninit memory read in ath9k_htc_rx_msg()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: avoid uninit memory read in ath9k_htc_rx_msg() syzbot is reporting uninit value at ath9k_htc_rx_msg() [1], for ioctl(USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP_WRITE) can call ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() with pkt_len = 0 but ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() uses __dev_alloc_skb(pkt_len + 32, GFP_ATOMIC) based on an assumption that pkt_len is valid. As a result, ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() allocates skb with uninitialized memory and ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is reading from uninitialized memory. Since bytes accessed by ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is not known until ath9k_htc_rx_msg() is called, it would be diffic

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HSI: ssi_protocol: fix potential resource leak in ssip_pn_open() ssip_pn_open() claims the HSI client's port with hsi_claim_port(). When hsi_register_port_event() gets some error and returns a negetive value, the HSI client's port should be released with hsi_release_port(). smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smack: fix bug: unprivileged task can create labels If an unprivileged task is allowed to relabel itself (/smack/relabel-self is not empty), it can freely create new labels by writing their names into own /proc/PID/attr/smack/current This occurs because do_setattr() imports the provided label in advance, before checking "relabel-self" list. This change ensures that the "relabel-self" list is checked before importing the label.

    crypto: asymmetric_keys - prevent overflow in asymmetric_key_generate_id

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: asymmetric_keys - prevent overflow in asymmetric_key_generate_id Use check_add_overflow() to guard against potential integer overflows when adding the binary blob lengths and the size of an asymmetric_key_id structure and return ERR_PTR(-EOVERFLOW) accordingly. This prevents a possible buffer overflow when copying data from potentially malicious X.509 certificate fields that can be arbitrarily large, such as ASN.1 INTEGER serial numbers, issuer names, etc.

RDMA/rxe: Fix null deref on srq->rq.queue after resize failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix null deref on srq->rq.queue after resize failure A NULL pointer dereference can occur in rxe_srq_chk_attr() when ibv_modify_srq() is invoked twice in succession under certain error conditions. The first call may fail in rxe_queue_resize(), which leads rxe_srq_from_attr() to set srq->rq.queue = NULL. The second call then triggers a crash (null deref) when accessing srq->rq.queue->buf->index_mask. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtl818x: rtl8187: Fix potential buffer underflow in rtl8187_rx_cb() The rtl8187_rx_cb() calculates the rx descriptor header address by subtracting its size from the skb tail pointer. However, it does not validate if the received packet (skb->len from urb->actual_length) is large enough to contain this header. If a truncated packet is received, this will lead to a buffer underflow, reading memory before the start of the skb data area, and causing a kernel panic. Do not attempt to use bitfields to synchronize parallel algorithms. (*) Even in cases where bitfields are protected by locks, all fields in a given bitfield must be protected by one lock. can: gs_usb: gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback(): check actual_length before accessing header

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: gs_usb: gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback(): check actual_length before accessing header The driver expects to receive a struct gs_host_frame in gs_usb_receive_bulk_callback(). Use struct_group to describe the header of the struct gs_host_frame and check that we have at least received the header before accessing any members of it. To resubmit the URB, do not dereference the pointer chain "dev->parent->hf_size_rx" but use "parent->hf_size_rx" instead. Since "urb->context" contains "parent", it is always defined, while "dev" is not defined if the URB it too short.
