    sctp: prevent possible shift-out-of-bounds in sctp_transport_update_rto

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: prevent possible shift-out-of-bounds in sctp_transport_update_rto syzbot reported a possible shift-out-of-bounds [1] Blamed commit added rto_alpha_max and rto_beta_max set to 1000. It is unclear if some sctp users are setting very large rto_alpha and/or rto_beta. In order to prevent user regression, perform the test at run time. Also add READ_ONCE() annotations as sysctl values can change under us. tipc: Fix use-after-free in tipc_mon_reinit_self().

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: Fix use-after-free in tipc_mon_reinit_self(). syzbot reported use-after-free of tipc_net(net)->monitors[] in tipc_mon_reinit_self(). [0] The array is protected by RTNL, but tipc_mon_reinit_self() iterates over it without RTNL. tipc_mon_reinit_self() is called from tipc_net_finalize(), which is always under RTNL except for tipc_net_finalize_work(). Let's hold RTNL in tipc_net_finalize_work(). net: sched: act_connmark: initialize struct tc_ife to fix kernel leak

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: sched: act_connmark: initialize struct tc_ife to fix kernel leak In tcf_connmark_dump(), the variable 'opt' was partially initialized using a designatied initializer. While the padding bytes are reamined uninitialized. nla_put() copies the entire structure into a netlink message, these uninitialized bytes leaked to userspace. Initialize the structure with memset before assigning its fields to ensure all members and padding are cleared prior to beign copied.

    ALSA: usb-audio: Fix NULL pointer dereference in snd_usb_mixer_controls_badd

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Fix NULL pointer dereference in snd_usb_mixer_controls_badd In snd_usb_create_streams(), for UAC version 3 devices, the Interface Association Descriptor (IAD) is retrieved via usb_ifnum_to_if(). If this call fails, a fallback routine attempts to obtain the IAD from the next interface and sets a BADD profile. However, snd_usb_mixer_controls_badd() assumes that the IAD retrieved from usb_ifnum_to_if() is always valid, without performing a NULL check. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference when usb_ifnum_to_if() fails to find the interface descriptor. Th

    fs/proc: fix uaf in proc_readdir_de()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/proc: fix uaf in proc_readdir_de() Pde is erased from subdir rbtree through rb_erase(), but not set the node to EMPTY, which may result in uaf access. We should use RB_CLEAR_NODE() set the erased node to EMPTY, then pde_subdir_next() will return NULL to avoid uaf access. We found an uaf issue while using stress-ng testing, need to run testcase getdent and tun in the same time. The steps of the issue is as follows: 1) use getdent to traverse dir /proc/pid/net/dev_snmp6/, and current pde is tun3; 2) in the [time windows] unregister netdevice tun3 and tun2, and eras

    be2net: pass wrb_params in case of OS2BMC

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: be2net: pass wrb_params in case of OS2BMC be_insert_vlan_in_pkt() is called with the wrb_params argument being NULL at be_send_pkt_to_bmc() call site.  This may lead to dereferencing a NULL pointer when processing a workaround for specific packet, as commit bc0c3405abbb ("be2net: fix a Tx stall bug caused by a specific ipv6 packet") states. The correct way would be to pass the wrb_params from be_xmit().

    net: openvswitch: remove never-working support for setting nsh fields

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: remove never-working support for setting nsh fields The validation of the set(nsh(...)) action is completely wrong. It runs through the nsh_key_put_from_nlattr() function that is the same function that validates NSH keys for the flow match and the push_nsh() action. However, the set(nsh(...)) has a very different memory layout. Nested attributes in there are doubled in size in case of the masked set(). That makes proper validation impossible. There is also confusion in the code between the 'masked' flag, that says that the nested attributes are doubled

    net: qlogic/qede: fix potential out-of-bounds read in qede_tpa_cont() and qede_tpa_end()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: qlogic/qede: fix potential out-of-bounds read in qede_tpa_cont() and qede_tpa_end() The loops in 'qede_tpa_cont()' and 'qede_tpa_end()', iterate over 'cqe->len_list[]' using only a zero-length terminator as the stopping condition. If the terminator was missing or malformed, the loop could run past the end of the fixed-size array. Add an explicit bound check using ARRAY_SIZE() in both loops to prevent a potential out-of-bounds access. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

    vsock: Ignore signal/timeout on connect() if already established

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: Ignore signal/timeout on connect() if already established During connect(), acting on a signal/timeout by disconnecting an already established socket leads to several issues: 1. connect() invoking vsock_transport_cancel_pkt() -> virtio_transport_purge_skbs() may race with sendmsg() invoking virtio_transport_get_credit(). This results in a permanently elevated `vvs->bytes_unsent`. Which, in turn, confuses the SOCK_LINGER handling. 2. connect() resetting a connected socket's state may race with socket being placed in a sockmap. A disconnected socket remai

    ocfs2: clear extent cache after moving/defragmenting extents

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: clear extent cache after moving/defragmenting extents The extent map cache can become stale when extents are moved or defragmented, causing subsequent operations to see outdated extent flags. This triggers a BUG_ON in ocfs2_refcount_cal_cow_clusters(). The problem occurs when: 1. copy_file_range() creates a reflinked extent with OCFS2_EXT_REFCOUNTED 2. ioctl(FITRIM) triggers ocfs2_move_extents() 3. __ocfs2_move_extents_range() reads and caches the extent (flags=0x2) 4. ocfs2_move_extent()/ocfs2_defrag_extent() calls __ocfs2_move_extent() which clears OCFS2_EXT_R

    PCI/IOV: Fix race between SR-IOV enable/disable and hotplug

Similarly the PCI rescan/remove lock was also taken in sriov_add_vfs() to protect addition of VFs. This approach however causes deadlock on trying to remove PFs with SR-IOV enabled because PFs disable SR-IOV during removal and this removal happens under the PCI rescan/remove
