ocfs2: fix use-after-free in ocfs2_fault() when VM_FAULT_RETRY
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ocfs2: fix use-after-free in ocfs2_fault() when VM_FAULT_RETRY
filemap_fault() may drop the mmap_lock before returning VM_FAULT_RETRY,
as documented in mm/filemap.c:
"If our return value has VM_FAULT_RETRY set, it's because the mmap_lock
may be dropped before doing I/O or by lock_folio_maybe_drop_mmap()."
When this happens, a concurrent munmap() can call remove_vma() and free
the vm_area_struct via RCU. The saved 'vma' pointer in ocfs2_fault() then
becomes a dangling pointer, and the subsequent trace_ocfs2_fault() call
dereferences it -- a use-after-free.

KVM: x86: Use scratch field in MMIO fragment to hold small write values
When exiting to userspace to service an emulated MMIO write, copy the
to-be-written value to a scratch field in the MMIO fragment if the size
of the data payload is 8 bytes or less, i.e. can fit in a single chunk,
instead of pointing the fragment directly at the source value.
This fixes a class of use-after-free bugs that occur when the emulator
initiates a write using an on-stack, local variable as the source, the
write splits a page boundary, *and* both pages are MMIO pages. Because

mm: blk-cgroup: fix use-after-free in cgwb_release_workfn()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm: blk-cgroup: fix use-after-free in cgwb_release_workfn()
cgwb_release_workfn() calls css_put(wb->blkcg_css) and then later accesses
wb->blkcg_css again via blkcg_unpin_online(). If css_put() drops the last
reference, the blkcg can be freed asynchronously (css_free_rwork_fn ->
blkcg_css_free -> kfree) before blkcg_unpin_online() dereferences the

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: em28xx: fix use-after-free in em28xx_v4l2_open()
em28xx_v4l2_open() reads dev->v4l2 without holding dev->lock,
creating a race with em28xx_v4l2_init()'s error path and
em28xx_v4l2_fini(), both of which free the em28xx_v4l2 struct
and set dev->v4l2 to NULL under dev->lock.
This race leads to two issues:
- use-after-free in v4l2_fh_init() when accessing vdev->ctrl_handler,
since the video_device is embedded in the freed em28xx_v4l2 struct.
- NULL pointer dereference in em28xx_resolution_set() when accessing
v4l2->norm, since dev->v4l2 has been set to NULL.

can: gw: fix OOB heap access in cgw_csum_crc8_rel()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: gw: fix OOB heap access in cgw_csum_crc8_rel()
cgw_csum_crc8_rel() correctly computes bounds-safe indices via calc_idx():
int from = calc_idx(crc8->from_idx, cf->len);
int to = calc_idx(crc8->to_idx, cf->len);
int res = calc_idx(crc8->result_idx, cf->len);

However, the loop and the result write then use the raw s8 fields directly
instead of the computed variables:
for (i = crc8->from_idx; ...) /* BUG: raw negative index */
cf->data[crc8->result_idx] = ...; /* BUG: raw negative

s390/mm: Add missing secure storage access fixups for donated memory
There are special cases where secure storage access exceptions happen
in a kernel context for pages that don't have the PG_arch_1 bit
set. That bit is set for non-exported guest secure storage (memory)
but is absent on storage donated to the Ultravisor since the kernel
isn't allowed to export donated pages.
Prior to this patch we would try to export the page by calling
arch_make_folio_accessible() which would instantly return since the
arch bit is absent signifying that the page was already exported and

When futex_lock_pi_atomic() sees the owner is exiting, it returns -EBUSY

After wait_for_owner_exiting() consumes that reference, the local pointer

different error, the bogus pointer is passed to wait_for_owner_exiting().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
pmdomain: bcm: bcm2835-power: Increase ASB control timeout
The bcm2835_asb_control() function uses a tight polling loop to wait
for the ASB bridge to acknowledge a request. During intensive workloads,
this handshake intermittently fails for V3D's master ASB on BCM2711,
resulting in "Failed to disable ASB master for v3d" errors during
runtime PM suspend. As a consequence, the failed power-off leaves V3D in
a broken state, leading to bus faults or system hangs on later accesses.
As the timeout is insufficient in some scenarios, increase the polling
timeout from 1us to 5us, w

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: cfg80211: cancel pmsr_free_wk in cfg80211_pmsr_wdev_down
When the nl80211 socket that originated a PMSR request is
closed, cfg80211_release_pmsr() sets the request's nl_portid
to zero and schedules pmsr_free_wk to process the abort
asynchronously. If the interface is concurrently torn down
before that work runs, cfg80211_pmsr_wdev_down() calls
cfg80211_pmsr_process_abort() directly. However, the already-
scheduled pmsr_free_wk work item remains pending and may run
after the interface has been removed from the driver. This
could cause the driver's abort_pmsr callback t
net: bonding: fix NULL deref in bond_debug_rlb_hash_show

net: bonding: fix NULL deref in bond_debug_rlb_hash_show
rlb_clear_slave intentionally keeps RLB hash-table entries on

Other used-list iterators in bond_alb.c already handle this NULL-slave

can: raw: fix ro->uniq use-after-free in raw_rcv()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
can: raw: fix ro->uniq use-after-free in raw_rcv()
raw_release() unregisters raw CAN receive filters via can_rx_unregister(),
but receiver deletion is deferred with call_rcu(). This leaves a window
where raw_rcv() may still be running in an RCU read-side critical section
after raw_release() frees ro->uniq, leading to a use-after-free of the
percpu uniq storage.
Move free_percpu(ro->uniq) out of raw_release() and into a raw-specific
socket destructor. can_rx_unregister() takes an extra reference to the
socket and only drops it from the RCU callback, so freeing uniq from

driver core: platform: use generic driver_override infrastructure
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
driver core: platform: use generic driver_override infrastructure
When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match()
callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the
driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF.
Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking
care of proper locking internally.
Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock
held is intentional. [1]
