procfs: fix missing RCU protection when reading real_parent in do_task_stat()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: procfs: fix missing RCU protection when reading real_parent in do_task_stat() When reading /proc/[pid]/stat, do_task_stat() accesses task->real_parent without proper RCU protection, which leads to: cpu 0 cpu 1 ----- ----- do_task_stat var = task->real_parent release_task call_rcu(delayed_put_task_struct) task_tgid_nr_ns(var) rcu_read_lock <--- Too late to protect task->real_parent! task_pid_ptr <--- UAF!

pstore/ram: fix buffer overflow in persistent_ram_save_old()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pstore/ram: fix buffer overflow in persistent_ram_save_old() persistent_ram_save_old() can be called multiple times for the same persistent_ram_zone (e.g., via ramoops_pstore_read -> ramoops_get_next_prz for PSTORE_TYPE_DMESG records). Currently, the function only allocates prz->old_log when it is NULL, but it unconditionally updates prz->old_log_size to the current buffer size and then performs memcpy_fromio() using this new size. If the buffer size has grown since the first allocation (which can happen across different kernel boot cycles), this leads to: 1. A heap buffe

    btrfs: fix block_group_tree dirty_list corruption

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix block_group_tree dirty_list corruption When the incompat flag EXTENT_TREE_V2 is set, we unconditionally add the block group tree to the switch_commits list before calling switch_commit_roots, as we do for the tree root and the chunk root. However, the block group tree uses normal root dirty tracking and in any transaction that does an allocation and dirties a block group, the block group root will already be linked to a list by the dirty_list field and this use of list_add_tail() is invalid and corrupts the prev/next members of block_group_root->dirty_list. MIPS: Work around LLVM bug when gp is used as global register variable

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: MIPS: Work around LLVM bug when gp is used as global register variable On MIPS, __current_thread_info is defined as global register variable locating in $gp, and is simply assigned with new address during kernel relocation. This however is broken with LLVM, which always restores $gp if it finds $gp is clobbered in any form, including when intentionally through a global register variable. This is against GCC's documentation[1], which requires a callee-saved register used as global register variable not to be restored if it's clobbered. As a result, $gp will continue to poi

octeontx2-af: Fix PF driver crash with kexec kernel booting

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: Fix PF driver crash with kexec kernel booting During a kexec reboot the hardware is not power-cycled, so AF state from the old kernel can persist into the new kernel. When AF and PF drivers are built as modules, the PF driver may probe before AF reinitializes the hardware. The PF driver treats the RVUM block revision as an indication that AF initialization is complete. If this value is left uncleared at shutdown, PF may incorrectly assume AF is ready and access stale hardware state, leading to a crash. Clear the RVUM block revision during AF shutdown to avoi

drm/amd/display: Fix dc_link NULL handling in HPD init

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix dc_link NULL handling in HPD init amdgpu_dm_hpd_init() may see connectors without a valid dc_link. The code already checks dc_link for the polling decision, but later unconditionally dereferences it when setting up HPD interrupts. Assign dc_link early and skip connectors where it is NULL. PCI: endpoint: Add missing NULL check for alloc_workqueue()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: endpoint: Add missing NULL check for alloc_workqueue() alloc_workqueue() can return NULL on memory allocation failure. Without proper error checking, this may lead to a NULL pointer dereference when queue_work() is later called with the NULL workqueue pointer in epf_ntb_epc_init(). Add a NULL check immediately after alloc_workqueue() and return -ENOMEM on failure to prevent the driver from loading with an invalid workqueue pointer.

smb: client: reject userspace cifs.spnego descriptions

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: reject userspace cifs.spnego descriptions cifs.spnego key descriptions contain authority-bearing fields such as pid, uid, creduid, and upcall_target that cifs.upcall treats as kernel-originating inputs. However, userspace can also create keys of this type through request_key(2) or add_key(2), allowing those fields to be supplied without CIFS origin. Only accept cifs.spnego descriptions while CIFS is using its private spnego_cred to request the key.

batman-adv: stop caching unowned originator pointers in BAT IV

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: stop caching unowned originator pointers in BAT IV BAT IV keeps the last-hop neighbor address in each neigh_node, but some paths also cache an originator pointer derived from a temporary lookup. That pointer is not owned by the neigh_node and may no longer refer to a live originator entry after purge handling runs. Stop storing the auxiliary originator pointer in the BAT IV neighbor state. When BAT IV needs the neighbor originator data, resolve it from the stored neighbor address and drop the reference again after use. [sven: avoid bonding logic for outgoing O

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: saa7164: add ioremap return checks and cleanups Add checks for ioremap return values in saa7164_dev_setup(). If ioremap for BAR0 or BAR2 fails, release the already allocated PCI memory regions, remove the device from the global list, decrement the device count, and return -ENODEV. This prevents potential null pointer dereferences and ensures proper cleanup on memory mapping failures.

vsock: fix buffer size clamping order

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: fix buffer size clamping order In vsock_update_buffer_size(), the buffer size was being clamped to the maximum first, and then to the minimum. If a user sets a minimum buffer size larger than the maximum, the minimum check overrides the maximum check, inverting the constraint. This breaks the intended socket memory boundaries by allowing the vsk->buffer_size to grow beyond the configured vsk->buffer_max_size. Fix this by checking the minimum first, and then the maximum. This ensures the buffer size never exceeds the buffer_max_size.

batman-adv: bla: only purge non-released claims

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: only purge non-released claims When batadv_bla_purge_claims() goes through the list of claims, it is only traversing the hash list with an rcu_read_lock(). Due to a potential parallel batadv_claim_put(), it can happen that it encounters a claim which was actually in the process of being released+freed by batadv_claim_release(). In this case, backbone_gw is set to NULL before the delayed RCU kfree is started. Calling batadv_bla_claim_get_backbone_gw() is then no longer allowed because it would cause a NULL-ptr derefence. To avoid this, only claims with a va

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Clear VRAM on allocation to prevent stale data exposure KFD VRAM allocations set AMDGPU_GEM_CREATE_VRAM_WIPE_ON_RELEASE but not AMDGPU_GEM_CREATE_VRAM_CLEARED, leaving freshly allocated VRAM with stale data from prior use observable by compute kernels. The GEM ioctl path already sets VRAM_CLEARED for all userspace allocations via amdgpu_gem_create_ioctl() and amdgpu_mode_dumb_create(). The KFD path was missing this flag, allowing stale page table remnants to leak into user buffers. This causes crashes in RCCL P2P transport where non-zero data in ptrExchange/he
