In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt: prevent skb UAF after handing over to PTP worker When reading the timestamp is required bnxt_tx_int() hands over the ownership of the completed skb to the PTP worker. The skb should not be used afterwards, as the worker may run before the rest of our code and free the skb, leading to a use-after-free. Since dev_kfree_skb_any() accepts NULL make the loss of ownership more obvious and set skb to NULL.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: Revert "scsi: fcoe: Fix potential deadlock on &fip->ctlr_lock" This reverts commit 1a1975551943f681772720f639ff42fbaa746212. This commit causes interrupts to be lost for FCoE devices, since it changed sping locks from "bh" to "irqsave". Instead, a work queue should be used, and will be addressed in a separate commit.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "drm/amd: flush any delayed gfxoff on suspend entry" commit ab4750332dbe ("drm/amdgpu/sdma5.2: add begin/end_use ring callbacks") caused GFXOFF control to be used more heavily and the codepath that was removed from commit 0dee72639533 ("drm/amd: flush any delayed gfxoff on suspend entry") now can be exercised at suspend again. Users report that by using GNOME to suspend the lockscreen trigger will cause SDMA traffic and the system can deadlock. This reverts commit 0dee726395333fea833eaaf838bc80962df886c8.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: fix performance regression in swap operation The patch "netfilter: ipset: fix race condition between swap/destroy and kernel side add/del/test", commit 28628fa9 fixes a race condition. But the synchronize_rcu() added to the swap function unnecessarily slows it down: it can safely be moved to destroy and use call_rcu() instead. Eric Dumazet pointed out that simply calling the destroy functions as rcu callback does not work: sets with timeout use garbage collectors which need cancelling at destroy which can wait. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: Fix possible buffer overflow struct hci_dev_info has a fixed size name[8] field so in the event that hdev->name is bigger than that strcpy would attempt to write past its size, so this fixes this problem by switching to use strscpy.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix double free of anonymous device after snapshot creation failure When creating a snapshot we may do a double free of an anonymous device in case there's an error committing the transaction. The second free may result in freeing an anonymous device number that was allocated by some other subsystem in the kernel or another btrfs filesystem. The steps that lead to this: 1) At ioctl.c:create_snapshot() we allocate an anonymous device number and assign it to pending_snapshot->anon_dev; 2) Then we call btrfs_commit_transaction() and end up at transaction.c:crea
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Drop oob_skb ref before purging queue in GC. syzbot reported another task hung in __unix_gc(). [0] The current while loop assumes that all of the left candidates have oob_skb and calling kfree_skb(oob_skb) releases the remaining candidates. However, I missed a case that oob_skb has self-referencing fd and another fd and the latter sk is placed before the former in the candidate list. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: rt5645: Fix deadlock in rt5645_jack_detect_work() There is a path in rt5645_jack_detect_work(), where rt5645->jd_mutex is left locked forever. A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux Kernel. When a disk is removed, bdi_unregister is called to stop further write-back and waits for associated delayed work to complete. However, wb_inode_writeback_end() may schedule bandwidth estimation work after this has completed, which can result in the timer attempting to access the recently freed bdi_writeback.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's TUN/TAP functionality. This issue could allow a local user to bypass network filters and gain unauthorized access to some resources. The original patches fixing CVE-2023-1076 are incorrect or incomplete. The problem is that the following upstream commits - a096ccca6e50 ("tun: tun_chr_open(): correctly initialize socket uid"), - 66b2c338adce ("tap: tap_open(): correctly initialize socket uid"), pass "inode->i_uid" to sock_init_data_uid() as the last parameter and that turns out to not be accurate.
