In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gma500: fix null pointer dereference in cdv_intel_lvds_get_modes In cdv_intel_lvds_get_modes(), the return value of drm_mode_duplicate() is assigned to mode, which will lead to a NULL pointer dereference on failure of drm_mode_duplicate(). Add a check to avoid npd.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gma500: fix null pointer dereference in psb_intel_lvds_get_modes In psb_intel_lvds_get_modes(), the return value of drm_mode_duplicate() is assigned to mode, which will lead to a possible NULL pointer dereference on failure of drm_mode_duplicate(). Add a check to avoid npd.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: check dot and dotdot of dx_root before making dir indexed Syzbot reports a issue as follows: ============================================ BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffed11022e24fe PGD 23ffee067 P4D 23ffee067 PUD 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN PTI CPU: 0 PID: 5079 Comm: syz-executor306 Not tainted 6.10.0-rc5-g55027e689933 #0 Call Trace: <TASK> make_indexed_dir+0xdaf/0x13c0 fs/ext4/namei.c:2341 ext4_add_entry+0x222a/0x25d0 fs/ext4/namei.c:2451 ext4_rename fs/ext4/namei.c:3936 [inline] ext4_rename2+0x26e5/0x4370 fs/ext4/namei.c:4214 [
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dev/parport: fix the array out-of-bounds risk Fixed array out-of-bounds issues caused by sprintf by replacing it with snprintf for safer data copying, ensuring the destination buffer is not overflowed. Below is the stack trace I encountered during the actual issue: [ 66.575408s] [pid:5118,cpu4,QThread,4]Kernel panic - not syncing: stack-protector: Kernel stack is corrupted in: do_hardware_base_addr+0xcc/0xd0 [parport] [ 66.575408s] [pid:5118,cpu4,QThread,5]CPU: 4 PID: 5118 Comm: QThread Tainted: G S W O 5.10.97-arm64-desktop #7100.57021.2 [ 66.575439s] [pid:5118,cpu4,QThr

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix return value of f2fs_convert_inline_inode() If device is readonly, make f2fs_convert_inline_inode() return EROFS instead of zero, otherwise it may trigger panic during writeback of inline inode's dirty page as below: f2fs_write_single_data_page+0xbb6/0x1e90 fs/f2fs/data.c:2888 f2fs_write_cache_pages fs/f2fs/data.c:3187 [inline] __f2fs_write_data_pages fs/f2fs/data.c:3342 [inline] f2fs_write_data_pages+0x1efe/0x3a90 fs/f2fs/data.c:3369 do_writepages+0x359/0x870 mm/page-writeback.c:2634 filemap_fdatawrite_wbc+0x125/0x180 mm/filemap.c:397 __filemap_fdatawrite
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: handle inconsistent state in nilfs_btnode_create_block() Syzbot reported that a buffer state inconsistency was detected in nilfs_btnode_create_block(), triggering a kernel bug. It is not appropriate to treat this inconsistency as a bug; it can occur if the argument block address (the buffer index of the newly created block) is a virtual block number and has been reallocated due to corruption of the bitmap used to manage its allocation state. So, modify nilfs_btnode_create_block() and its callers to treat it as a possible filesystem error, rather than triggering a
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: Return non-zero value from tipc_udp_addr2str() on error tipc_udp_addr2str() should return non-zero value if the UDP media address is invalid. Otherwise, a buffer overflow access can occur in tipc_media_addr_printf(). Fix this by returning 1 on an invalid UDP media address.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mISDN: Fix a use after free in hfcmulti_tx() Don't dereference *sp after calling dev_kfree_skb(*sp).
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/iucv: fix use after free in iucv_sock_close() iucv_sever_path() is called from process context and from bh context. iucv->path is used as indicator whether somebody else is taking care of severing the path (or it is already removed / never existed). This needs to be done with atomic compare and swap, otherwise there is a small window where iucv_sock_close() will try to work with a path that has already been severed and freed by iucv_callback_connrej() called by iucv_tasklet_fn(). Example: [452744.123844] Call Trace: [452744.123845] ([<0000001e87f03880>] 0x1e87f03880) [
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: protect the fetch of ->fd[fd] in do_dup2() from mispredictions both callers have verified that fd is not greater than ->max_fds; however, misprediction might end up with tofree = fdt->fd[fd]; being speculatively executed. That's wrong for the same reasons why it's wrong in close_fd()/file_close_fd_locked(); the same solution applies - array_index_nospec(fd, fdt->max_fds) could differ from fd only in case of speculative execution on mispredicted path.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: closures: Change BUG_ON() to WARN_ON() If a BUG_ON() can be hit in the wild, it shouldn't be a BUG_ON() For reference, this has popped up once in the CI, and we'll need more info to debug it: 03240 ------------[ cut here ]------------ 03240 kernel BUG at lib/closure.c:21! 03240 kernel BUG at lib/closure.c:21! 03240 Internal error: Oops - BUG: 00000000f2000800 [#1] SMP 03240 Modules linked in: 03240 CPU: 15 PID: 40534 Comm: kworker/u80:1 Not tainted 6.10.0-rc4-ktest-ga56da69799bd #25570 03240 Hardware name: linux,dummy-virt (DT) 03240 Workqueue: btree_update btree_interior
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: serial: mos7840: fix crash on resume Since commit c49cfa917025 ("USB: serial: use generic method if no alternative is provided in usb serial layer"), USB serial core calls the generic resume implementation when the driver has not provided one. This can trigger a crash on resume with mos7840 since support for multiple read URBs was added back in 2011. Specifically, both port read URBs are now submitted on resume for open ports, but the context pointer of the second URB is left set to the core rather than mos7840 port structure. Fix this by implementing dedicated suspe
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/bhi: Avoid warning in #DB handler due to BHI mitigation When BHI mitigation is enabled, if SYSENTER is invoked with the TF flag set then entry_SYSENTER_compat() uses CLEAR_BRANCH_HISTORY and calls the clear_bhb_loop() before the TF flag is cleared. This causes the #DB handler (exc_debug_kernel()) to issue a warning because single-step is used outside the entry_SYSENTER_compat() function. To address this issue, entry_SYSENTER_compat() should use CLEAR_BRANCH_HISTORY after making sure the TF flag is cleared. The problem can be reproduced with the following sequence:
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: configfs: Prevent OOB read/write in usb_string_copy() Userspace provided string 's' could trivially have the length zero. Left unchecked this will firstly result in an OOB read in the form `if (str[0 - 1] == '\n') followed closely by an OOB write in the form `str[0 - 1] = '\0'`. There is already a validating check to catch strings that are too long. Let's supply an additional check for invalid strings that are too short.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: fix race between delayed_work() and ceph_monc_stop() The way the delayed work is handled in ceph_monc_stop() is prone to races with mon_fault() and possibly also finish_hunting(). Both of these can requeue the delayed work which wouldn't be canceled by any of the following code in case that happens after cancel_delayed_work_sync() runs -- __close_session() doesn't mess with the delayed work in order to avoid interfering with the hunting interval logic. This part was missed in commit b5d91704f53e ("libceph: behave in mon_fault() if cur_mon < 0") and use-after-free
