    sparc: fix accurate exception reporting in copy_{from_to}_user for UltraSPARC

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sparc: fix accurate exception reporting in copy_{from_to}_user for UltraSPARC The referenced commit introduced exception handlers on user-space memory references in copy_from_user and copy_to_user. These handlers return from the respective function and calculate the remaining bytes left to copy using the current register contents. This commit fixes a couple of bad calculations. This will fix the return value of copy_from_user and copy_to_user in the faulting case. The behaviour of memcpy stays unchanged.

    sparc: fix accurate exception reporting in copy_{from_to}_user for UltraSPARC III

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sparc: fix accurate exception reporting in copy_{from_to}_user for UltraSPARC III Anthony Yznaga tracked down that a BUG_ON in ext4 code with large folios enabled resulted from copy_from_user() returning impossibly large values greater than the size to be copied. This lead to __copy_from_iter() returning impossible values instead of the actual number of bytes it was able to copy. The BUG_ON has been reported in https://lore.kernel.org/r/b14f55642207e63e907965e209f6323a0df6dcee.camel@physik.fu-berlin.de The referenced commit introduced exception handlers on user-space memo

    usb: host: max3421-hcd: Fix error pointer dereference in probe cleanup

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: host: max3421-hcd: Fix error pointer dereference in probe cleanup The kthread_run() function returns error pointers so the max3421_hcd->spi_thread pointer can be either error pointers or NULL. Check for both before dereferencing it.

    scsi: mpt3sas: Fix crash in transport port remove by using ioc_info()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpt3sas: Fix crash in transport port remove by using ioc_info() During mpt3sas_transport_port_remove(), messages were logged with dev_printk() against &mpt3sas_port->port->dev. At this point the SAS transport device may already be partially unregistered or freed, leading to a crash when accessing its struct device. Using ioc_info(), which logs via the PCI device (ioc->pdev->dev), guaranteed to remain valid until driver removal. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sparc: fix accurate exception reporting in copy_{from_to}_user for Niagara The referenced commit introduced exception handlers on user-space memory references in copy_from_user and copy_to_user. These handlers return from the respective function and calculate the remaining bytes left to copy using the current register contents. This commit fixes a couple of bad calculations and a broken epilogue in the exception handlers. This will prevent crashes and ensure correct return values of copy_from_user and copy_to_user in the faulting case. The behaviour of memcpy stays unchange

    drm/vmwgfx: Fix a null-ptr access in the cursor snooper

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: Fix a null-ptr access in the cursor snooper Check that the resource which is converted to a surface exists before trying to use the cursor snooper on it. vmw_cmd_res_check allows explicit invalid (SVGA3D_INVALID_ID) identifiers because some svga commands accept SVGA3D_INVALID_ID to mean "no surface", unfortunately functions that accept the actual surfaces as objects might (and in case of the cursor snooper, do not) be able to handle null objects. Make sure that we validate not only the identifier (via the vmw_cmd_res_check) but also check that the actual resour

    comedi: fix divide-by-zero in comedi_buf_munge()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: fix divide-by-zero in comedi_buf_munge() The comedi_buf_munge() function performs a modulo operation `async->munge_chan %= async->cmd.chanlist_len` without first checking if chanlist_len is zero. If a user program submits a command with chanlist_len set to zero, this causes a divide-by-zero error when the device processes data in the interrupt handler path. Add a check for zero chanlist_len at the beginning of the function, similar to the existing checks for !map and CMDF_RAWDATA flag. When chanlist_len is zero, update munge_count and return early, indicating the d

Comments for `cifs_sb_tlink` state that `cifs_put_tlink()` needs to be called after successful calls to `cifs_sb_tlink()`. net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix null-deref in agg_dequeue

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_qfq: Fix null-deref in agg_dequeue To prevent a potential crash in agg_dequeue (net/sched/sch_qfq.c) when cl->qdisc->ops->peek(cl->qdisc) returns NULL, we check the return value before using it, similar to the existing approach in sch_hfsc.c. To avoid code duplication, the following changes are made: 1. Changed qdisc_warn_nonwc(include/net/pkt_sched.h) into a static inline function. 2. Moved qdisc_peek_len from net/sched/sch_hfsc.c to include/net/pkt_sched.h so that sch_qfq can reuse it. 3. Applied qdisc_peek_len in agg_dequeue to avoid crashing.

    Squashfs: fix uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Squashfs: fix uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent Syzkaller reports a "KMSAN: uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent" bug. This is caused by open_by_handle_at() being called with a file handle containing an invalid parent inode number. In particular the inode number is that of a symbolic link, rather than a directory. Squashfs_get_parent() gets called with that symbolic link inode, and accesses the parent member field. unsigned int parent_ino = squashfs_i(inode)->parent; Because non-directory inodes in Squashfs do not have a parent value, this is uninitialised, and this

Crafted or corrupted images may set lengthAllocDescs so that the total descriptor length (sizeof(allocExtDesc) + lengthAllocDescs) exceeds the buffer, leading udf_update_tag() to call crc_itu_t() on out-of-bounds memory and trigger a KASAN use-after-free read. net: nfc: nci: Add parameter validation for packet data

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: nci: Add parameter validation for packet data Syzbot reported an uninitialized value bug in nci_init_req, which was introduced by commit 5aca7966d2a7 ("Merge tag 'perf-tools-fixes-for-v6.17-2025-09-16' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/perf/perf-tools"). This bug arises due to very limited and poor input validation that was done at nic_valid_size(). This validation only validates the skb->len (directly reflects size provided at the userspace interface) with the length provided in the buffer itself (interpreted as NCI_HEADER). This leads to the proc
