net: rose: fix timer races against user threads

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rose: fix timer races against user threads Rose timers only acquire the socket spinlock, without checking if the socket is owned by one user thread. Add a check and rearm the timers if needed. BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in rose_timer_expiry+0x31d/0x360 net/rose/rose_timer.c:174 Read of size 2 at addr ffff88802f09b82a by task swapper/0/0 CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 6.13.0-rc5-syzkaller-00172-gd1bf27c4e176 #0 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 09/13/2024 Call Trace: <IRQ> __dump_stack lib/dump_st

net: davicom: fix UAF in dm9000_drv_remove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: davicom: fix UAF in dm9000_drv_remove dm is netdev private data and it cannot be used after free_netdev() call. Using dm after free_netdev() can cause UAF bug. Fix it by moving free_netdev() at the end of the function. This is similar to the issue fixed in commit ad297cd2db89 ("net: qcom/emac: fix UAF in emac_remove"). This bug is detected by our static analysis tool.

net/rose: prevent integer overflows in rose_setsockopt()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rose: prevent integer overflows in rose_setsockopt() In case of possible unpredictably large arguments passed to rose_setsockopt() and multiplied by extra values on top of that, integer overflows may occur. Do the safest minimum and fix these issues by checking the contents of 'opt' and returning -EINVAL if they are too large. Also, switch to unsigned int and remove useless check for negative 'opt' in ROSE_IDLE case.

net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking Syzkaller reports [1] encountering a common issue of utilizing a wrong usb endpoint type during URB submitting stage. This, in turn, triggers a warning shown below. For now, enable simple endpoint checking (specifically, bulk and interrupt eps, testing control one is not essential) to mitigate the issue with a view to do other related cosmetic changes later, if they are necessary. net_sched: sch_sfq: don't allow 1 packet limit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: sch_sfq: don't allow 1 packet limit The current implementation does not work correctly with a limit of 1. iproute2 actually checks for this and this patch adds the check in kernel as well. This fixes the following syzkaller reported crash: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in net/sched/sch_sfq.c:210:6 index 65535 is out of range for type 'struct sfq_head[128]' CPU: 0 PID: 2569 Comm: syz-executor101 Not tainted 5.10.0-smp-DEV #1 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 09/13/2024 Call Trace: __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:79

usb: xhci: Fix NULL pointer dereference on certain command aborts

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: xhci: Fix NULL pointer dereference on certain command aborts If a command is queued to the final usable TRB of a ring segment, the enqueue pointer is advanced to the subsequent link TRB and no further. If the command is later aborted, when the abort completion is handled the dequeue pointer is advanced to the first TRB of the next segment. If no further commands are queued, xhci_handle_stopped_cmd_ring() sees the ring pointers unequal and assumes that there is a pending command, so it calls xhci_mod_cmd_timer() which crashes if cur_cmd was NULL. media: uvcvideo: Fix double free in error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: uvcvideo: Fix double free in error path If the uvc_status_init() function fails to allocate the int_urb, it will free the dev->status pointer but doesn't reset the pointer to NULL. This results in the kfree() call in uvc_status_cleanup() trying to double-free the memory. Fix it by resetting the dev->status pointer to NULL after freeing it. udp: Deal with race between UDP socket address change and rehash

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udp: Deal with race between UDP socket address change and rehash If a UDP socket changes its local address while it's receiving datagrams, as a result of connect(), there is a period during which a lookup operation might fail to find it, after the address is changed but before the secondary hash (port and address) and the four-tuple hash (local and remote ports and addresses) are updated. Secondary hash chains were introduced by commit 30fff9231fad ("udp: bind() optimisation") and, as a result, a rehash operation became needed to make a bound socket reachable again after a

rdma/cxgb4: Prevent potential integer overflow on 32bit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rdma/cxgb4: Prevent potential integer overflow on 32bit The "gl->tot_len" variable is controlled by the user. It comes from process_responses(). On 32bit systems, the "gl->tot_len + sizeof(struct cpl_pass_accept_req) + sizeof(struct rss_header)" addition could have an integer wrapping bug. Use size_add() to prevent this.

ata: libata-core: fix NULL pointer deref in ata_host_alloc_pinfo()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: fix NULL pointer deref in ata_host_alloc_pinfo() In an unlikely (and probably wrong?) case that the 'ppi' parameter of ata_host_alloc_pinfo() points to an array starting with a NULL pointer, there's going to be a kernel oops as the 'pi' local variable won't get reassigned from the initial value of NULL. Initialize 'pi' instead to '&ata_dummy_port_info' to fix the possible kernel oops for good... Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with the SVACE static analysis tool.
