net: mvpp2: Prevent parser TCAM memory corruption

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mvpp2: Prevent parser TCAM memory corruption Protect the parser TCAM/SRAM memory, and the cached (shadow) SRAM information, from concurrent modifications. Both the TCAM and SRAM tables are indirectly accessed by configuring an index register that selects the row to read or write to. This means that operations must be atomic in order to, e.g., avoid spreading writes across multiple rows. Since the shadow SRAM array is used to find free rows in the hardware table, it must also be protected in order to avoid TOCTOU errors where multiple cores allocate the same row. This

net: ibmveth: make veth_pool_store stop hanging

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ibmveth: make veth_pool_store stop hanging v2: - Created a single error handling unlock and exit in veth_pool_store - Greatly expanded commit message with previous explanatory-only text Summary: Use rtnl_mutex to synchronize veth_pool_store with itself, ibmveth_close and ibmveth_open, preventing multiple calls in a row to napi_disable. Background: Two (or more) threads could call veth_pool_store through writing to /sys/devices/vio/30000002/pool*/*. You can do this easily with a little shell script. This causes a hang. media: streamzap: fix race between device disconnection and urb callback

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: streamzap: fix race between device disconnection and urb callback Syzkaller has reported a general protection fault at function ir_raw_event_store_with_filter(). This crash is caused by a NULL pointer dereference of dev->raw pointer, even though it is checked for NULL in the same function, which means there is a race condition. It occurs due to the incorrect order of actions in the streamzap_disconnect() function: rc_unregister_device() is called before usb_kill_urb(). The dev->raw pointer is freed and set to NULL in rc_unregister_device(), and only after that usb_ki

nfsd: put dl_stid if fail to queue dl_recall

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: put dl_stid if fail to queue dl_recall Before calling nfsd4_run_cb to queue dl_recall to the callback_wq, we increment the reference count of dl_stid. We expect that after the corresponding work_struct is processed, the reference count of dl_stid will be decremented through the callback function nfsd4_cb_recall_release. However, if the call to nfsd4_run_cb fails, the incremented reference count of dl_stid will not be decremented correspondingly, leading to the following nfs4_stid leak: unreferenced object 0xffff88812067b578 (size 344): comm "nfsd", pid 2761, jiffies

jfs: add check read-only before txBeginAnon() call

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: add check read-only before txBeginAnon() call Added a read-only check before calling `txBeginAnon` in `extAlloc` and `extRecord`. This prevents modification attempts on a read-only mounted filesystem, avoiding potential errors or crashes. jfs: add check read-only before truncation in jfs_truncate_nolock()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: add check read-only before truncation in jfs_truncate_nolock() Added a check for "read-only" mode in the `jfs_truncate_nolock` function to avoid errors related to writing to a read-only filesystem. Call stack: block_write_begin() { jfs_write_failed() { jfs_truncate() { jfs_truncate_nolock() { txEnd() { ... log = JFS_SBI(tblk->sb)->log; // (log == NULL) If the `isReadOnly(ip)` condition is triggered in `jfs_truncate_nolock`, the function execution will stop, and no further data modification will occur. netfilter: socket: Lookup orig tuple for IPv6 SNAT

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: socket: Lookup orig tuple for IPv6 SNAT nf_sk_lookup_slow_v4 does the conntrack lookup for IPv4 packets to restore the original 5-tuple in case of SNAT, to be able to find the right socket (if any). Then socket_match() can correctly check whether the socket was transparent. However, the IPv6 counterpart (nf_sk_lookup_slow_v6) lacks this conntrack lookup, making xt_socket fail to match on the socket when the packet was SNATed. Add the same logic to nf_sk_lookup_slow_v6. IPv6 SNAT is used in Kubernetes clusters for pod-to-world packets, as pods' addresses are in

Because there is only for the situation where entry is NULL and holding_time exists, it can be passed when both entry and holding_time are NULL. proc: fix UAF in proc_get_inode()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: proc: fix UAF in proc_get_inode() Fix race between rmmod and /proc/XXX's inode instantiation. The bug is that pde->proc_ops don't belong to /proc, it belongs to a module, therefore dereferencing it after /proc entry has been registered is a bug unless use_pde/unuse_pde() pair has been used. use_pde/unuse_pde can be avoided (2 atomic ops!) because pde->proc_ops never changes so information necessary for inode instantiation can be saved _before_ proc_register() in PDE itself and used later, avoiding pde->proc_ops->... dereference. rmmod looku

drm/radeon: fix uninitialized size issue in radeon_vce_cs_parse()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/radeon: fix uninitialized size issue in radeon_vce_cs_parse() On the off chance that command stream passed from userspace via ioctl() call to radeon_vce_cs_parse() is weirdly crafted and first command to execute is to encode (case 0x03000001), the function in question will attempt to call radeon_vce_cs_reloc() with size argument that has not been properly initialized. Specifically, 'size' will point to 'tmp' variable before the latter had a chance to be assigned any value. Play it safe and init 'tmp' with 0, thus ensuring that radeon_vce_cs_reloc() will catch an early

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iscsi_ibft: Fix UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning in ibft_attr_show_nic() When performing an iSCSI boot using IPv6, iscsistart still reads the /sys/firmware/ibft/ethernetX/subnet-mask entry. Since the IPv6 prefix length is 64, this causes the shift exponent to become negative, triggering a UBSAN warning. As the concept of a subnet mask does not apply to IPv6, the value is set to ~0 to suppress the warning message.

net_sched: Prevent creation of classes with TC_H_ROOT

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: Prevent creation of classes with TC_H_ROOT The function qdisc_tree_reduce_backlog() uses TC_H_ROOT as a termination condition when traversing up the qdisc tree to update parent backlog counters. However, if a class is created with classid TC_H_ROOT, the traversal terminates prematurely at this class instead of reaching the actual root qdisc, causing parent statistics to be incorrectly maintained. In case of DRR, this could lead to a crash as reported by Mingi Cho. Prevent the creation of any Qdisc class with classid TC_H_ROOT (0xFFFFFFFF) across all qdisc types,

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conncount: Fully initialize struct nf_conncount_tuple in insert_tree() Since commit b36e4523d4d5 ("netfilter: nf_conncount: fix garbage collection confirm race"), `cpu` and `jiffies32` were introduced to the struct nf_conncount_tuple. The commit made nf_conncount_add() initialize `conn->cpu` and `conn->jiffies32` when allocating the struct. In contrast, count_tree() was not changed to initialize them. By commit 34848d5c896e ("netfilter: nf_conncount: Split insert and traversal"), count_tree() was split and the relevant allocation code now resides in insert_t
