    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: pata_via: Force PIO for ATAPI devices on VT6415/VT6330 The controller has a hardware bug that can hard hang the system when doing ATAPI DMAs without any trace of what happened. Depending on the device attached, it can also prevent the system from booting. In this case, the system hangs when reading the ATIP from optical media with cdrecord -vvv -atip on an _NEC DVD_RW ND-4571A 1-01 and an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200A 1.06 attached to an ASRock 990FX Extreme 4, running at UDMA/33.     In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bus: fsl-mc: fix double-free on mc_dev The blamed commit tried to simplify how the deallocations are done but, in the process, introduced a double-free on the mc_dev variable. In case the MC device is a DPRC, a new mc_bus is allocated and the mc_dev variable is just a reference to one of its fields. In this circumstance, on the error path only the mc_bus should be freed.     In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: core: fbcvt: avoid division by 0 in fb_cvt_hperiod() In fb_find_mode_cvt(), iff mode->refresh somehow happens to be 0x80000000, cvt.f_refresh will become 0 when multiplying it by 2 due to overflow. It's then passed to fb_cvt_hperiod(), where it's used as a divider -- division by 0 will result in kernel oops. Add a sanity check for cvt.f_refresh to avoid such overflow... Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with the Svace static analysis tool.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: b53: do not enable EEE on bcm63xx BCM63xx internal switches do not support EEE, but provide multiple RGMII ports where external PHYs may be connected. If one of these PHYs are EEE capable, we may try to enable EEE for the MACs, which then hangs the system on access of the (non-existent) EEE registers. Fix this by checking if the switch actually supports EEE before attempting to configure it.

[0] Before creating a new device and procfs/sysfs for it, atm_dev_register() looks up a duplicated device by __atm_dev_lookup(). These operations are done under atm_dev_mutex. However, when removing a device in atm_dev_deregister(), it releases the mutex just after removing the device from the list that __atm_dev_lookup() iterates over.
