Wagtail: Improper escaping of HTML (Cross-site Scripting) on TableBlock class attributes
Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. Prior to versions 6.3.8, 7.0.6, 7.2.3, and 7.3.1, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists on rendering TableBlock blocks within a StreamField. A user with access to create or edit pages containing TableBlock StreamField blocks is able to set specially-crafted class attributes on the block which run arbitrary JavaScript code when the page is viewed. When viewed by a user with higher privileges, this could lead to performing actions with that user's credentials. The vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admi
Wagtail: Improper escaping of HTML (Cross-site Scripting) in simple_translation admin interface
Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. Prior to versions 6.3.8, 7.0.6, 7.2.3, and 7.3.1, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists on confirmation messages within the wagtail.contrib.simple_translation module. A user with access to the Wagtail admin area may create a page with a specially-crafted title which, when another user performs the "Translate" action, causes arbitrary JavaScript code to run. This could lead to performing actions with that user's credentials. The vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admin. This issue has been patched in v
xgrammar is an open-source library for efficient, flexible, and portable structured generation. Prior to version 0.1.32, the multi-level nested syntax caused a segmentation fault (core dumped). This issue has been patched in version 0.1.32.
An open redirect vulnerability exists in django-allauth versions prior to 65.14.1 when SAML IdP initiated SSO is enabled (it is disabled by default), which may allow an attacker to redirect users to an arbitrary external website via a crafted URL.
Python-Markdown version 3.8 contain a vulnerability where malformed HTML-like sequences can cause html.parser.HTMLParser to raise an unhandled AssertionError during Markdown parsing. Because Python-Markdown does not catch this exception, any application that processes attacker-controlled Markdown may crash. This enables remote, unauthenticated Denial of Service in web applications, documentation systems, CI/CD pipelines, and any service that renders untrusted Markdown. The issue was acknowledged by the vendor and fixed in version 3.8.1. This issue causes a remote Denial of Service in any application parsing untrusted Markdown, and can lead to
An Arbitrary File Read vulnerability exists in the ImageTextPromptValue class in Exploding Gradients RAGAS v0.2.3 to v0.2.14. The vulnerability stems from improper validation and sanitization of URLs supplied in the retrieved_contexts parameter when handling multimodal inputs.
The import hook in CPython that handles legacy *.pyc files (SourcelessFileLoader) is incorrectly handled in FileLoader (a base class) and so does not use io.open_code() to read the .pyc files. sys.audit handlers for this audit event therefore do not fire.
Fickling missing RCE-capable modules in UNSAFE_IMPORTS
# Assessment
The modules `uuid`, `_osx_support` and `_aix_support` were added to the blocklist of unsafe imports (https://github.com/trailofbits/fickling/commit/ffac3479dbb97a7a1592d85991888562d34dd05b).
# Original report
## Summary
fickling's `UNSAFE_IMPORTS` blocklist is missing at least 3 stdlib modules that provide direct arbitrary command execution: `uuid`, `_osx_support`, and `_aix_support`. These modules contain functions that internally call `subprocess.Popen()` or `os.system()` with attacker-controlled arguments. A malicious pickle file importing these modules passes both `UnsafeImports` and `NonStandardImports` checks.
## Affe
Fickling has `always_check_safety()` bypass: pickle.loads and _pickle.loads remain unhooked
# Assessment
The missing pickle entrypoints `pickle.loads`, `_pickle.loads`, and `_pickle.load` were added to the hook https://github.com/trailofbits/fickling/commit/8c24c6edabceab156cfd41f4d70b650e1cdad1f7.
# Original report
## Summary
`fickling.always_check_safety()` does not hook all pickle entry points. `pickle.loads`, `_pickle.loads`, and `_pickle.load` remain unprotected, enabling malicious payload execution despite global safety mode being enabled.
## Affected versions
`<= 0.1.8` (verified on current upstream HEAD as of 2026-03-03)
## Non-duplication check against published Fickling GHSAs
No published advisory covers hook-coverage
A vulnerability in NLTK versions up to and including 3.9.2 allows arbitrary file read via path traversal in multiple CorpusReader classes, including WordListCorpusReader, TaggedCorpusReader, and BracketParseCorpusReader. These classes fail to properly sanitize or validate file paths, enabling attackers to traverse directories and access sensitive files on the server. This issue is particularly critical in scenarios where user-controlled file inputs are processed, such as in machine learning APIs, chatbots, or NLP pipelines. Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive files, including system files, SSH priva
joserfc PBES2 p2c Unbounded Iteration Count enables Denial of Service (DoS)
joserfc is a Python library that provides an implementation of several JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards. In 1.6.2 and earlier, a resource exhaustion vulnerability in joserfc allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via CPU exhaustion. When the library decrypts a JSON Web Encryption (JWE) token using Password-Based Encryption (PBES2) algorithms, it reads the p2c (PBES2 Count) parameter directly from the token's protected header. This parameter defines the number of iterations for the PBKDF2 key derivation function. Because joserfc does not validate or bound this value, an attacker can specify an
BentoML has an Arbitrary File Write via Symlink Path Traversal in Tar Extraction
BentoML is a Python library for building online serving systems optimized for AI apps and model inference. Prior to 1.4.36, the safe_extract_tarfile() function validates that each tar member's path is within the destination directory, but for symlink members it only validates the symlink's own path, not the symlink's target. An attacker can create a malicious bento/model tar file containing a symlink pointing outside the extraction directory, followed by a regular file that writes through the symlink, achieving arbitrary file write on the host filesystem. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.4.36.
OpenEXR CompositeDeepScanLine integer-overflow leads to heap OOB write
OpenEXR provides the specification and reference implementation of the EXR file format, an image storage format for the motion picture industry. In CompositeDeepScanLine::readPixels, per-pixel totals are accumulated in vector<unsigned int> total_sizes for attacker-controlled large counts across many parts, total_sizes[ptr] wraps modulo 2^32. overall_sample_count is then derived from wrapped totals and used in samples[channel].resize(overall_sample_count). Decode pointer setup/consumption proceeds with true sample counts, and write operations in core unpack (generic_unpack_deep_pointers) overrun the undersized composite sample buffer. This vu
OpenViking versions 0.2.1 and prior, fixed in commit 46b3e76, contain a path traversal vulnerability in the .ovpack import handling that allows attackers to write files outside the intended import directory. Attackers can craft malicious ZIP archives with traversal sequences, absolute paths, or drive prefixes in member names to overwrite or create arbitrary files with the importing process privileges.
Potential incorrect permissions on newly created file system objects
An issue was discovered in 6.0 before 6.0.3, 5.2 before 5.2.12, and 4.2 before 4.2.29.
Race condition in file-system storage and file-based cache backends in Django allows an attacker to cause file system objects to be created with incorrect permissions via concurrent requests, where one thread's temporary `umask` change affects other threads in multi-threaded environments.
Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected.
Django would like to thank Tarek Nakkouch for reporting this issue.
Potential denial-of-service vulnerability in URLField via Unicode normalization on Windows
An issue was discovered in 6.0 before 6.0.3, 5.2 before 5.2.12, and 4.2 before 4.2.29.
`URLField.to_python()` in Django calls `urllib.parse.urlsplit()`, which performs NFKC normalization on Windows that is disproportionately slow for certain Unicode characters, allowing a remote attacker to cause denial of service via large URL inputs containing these characters.
Earlier, unsupported Django series (such as 5.0.x, 4.1.x, and 3.2.x) were not evaluated and may also be affected.
Django would like to thank Seokchan Yoon for reporting this issue.
Command injection vulnerability in ModelScope's ms-agent
A command injection vulnerability in ModelScope's ms-agent versions v1.6.0rc1 and earlier exists, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary operating system commands through crafted prompt-derived input.
Open Babel CDXML File atom.cpp GetExplicitValence null pointer dereference
A vulnerability was identified in Open Babel up to 3.1.1. This impacts the function OBAtom::GetExplicitValence of the file isrc/atom.cpp of the component CDXML File Handler. Such manipulation leads to null pointer dereference. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The name of the patch is e23a224b8fd9d7c2a7cde9ef4ec6afb4c05aa08a. It is best practice to apply a patch to resolve this issue.
Gradio has SSRF via Malicious `proxy_url` Injection in `gr.load()` Config Processing
Gradio is an open-source Python package designed for quick prototyping. Prior to version 6.6.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Gradio allows an attacker to make arbitrary HTTP requests from a victim's server by hosting a malicious Gradio Space. When a victim application uses `gr.load()` to load an attacker-controlled Space, the malicious `proxy_url` from the config is trusted and added to the allowlist, enabling the attacker to access internal services, cloud metadata endpoints, and private networks through the victim's infrastructure. Version 6.6.0 fixes the issue.
Gradio is an open-source Python package designed for quick prototyping. Prior to version 6.6.0, the _redirect_to_target() function in Gradio's OAuth flow accepts an unvalidated _target_url query parameter, allowing redirection to arbitrary external URLs. This affects the /logout and /login/callback endpoints on Gradio apps with OAuth enabled (i.e. apps running on Hugging Face Spaces with gr.LoginButton). Starting in version 6.6.0, the _target_url parameter is sanitized to only use the path, query, and fragment, stripping any scheme or host.
