Server Side Request Forgery in Multiple WSO2 Products Allows Access to Internal and External Resources

Due to the improper implementation of access control rules, malicious actors could perform a Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attack on affected WSO2 Products. Exploiting this vulnerability allows a malicious actor to access both internal and external resources, available through the network or filesystem. This could potentially lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data and systems, regardless of whether these resources are located within a private network, as long as they are reachable by the WSO2 product.

Samba: access control bypass via vfs_ceph_rgw case-insensitive open

An access control bypass flaw was identified in Samba's vfs_ceph_rgw module in it's openat() function. An authenticated user can bypass access controls to read or overwrite restricted files on shares configured with the experimental vfs_ceph_rgw module. When a client requests an existing file using mismatched character casing, the module fails to perform a case-insensitive lookup correctly, causing the server to treat the operation as creating a new file. As a result, the server skips standard permission checks on the existing file, allowing the attacker to access or overwrite sensitive data owned by other users.

Echo: X-Real-IP extractor trusts the header value instead of the sending peer

Echo is a Go web framework. From 5.0.0 until 5.4.1, Echo v5's ExtractIPFromRealIPHeader validates whether the client-supplied X-Real-IP value belongs to a trusted range instead of validating the direct network peer. A client reaching Echo directly, or through a proxy that preserves the header, can supply a loopback or private address and have Context.RealIP return that spoofed identity. Applications using the extractor for IP allowlists, rate limiting, audit logs, or forwarding headers can consequently trust an attacker-controlled address; the default direct extractor and Echo v4 are unaffected. This issue is fixed in 5.4.1.

Echo: Rejected WebSocket upgrades can bypass Echo route-level access controls

Echo is a Go web framework. From 4.0.0 until 4.16.1 and 5.4.1, Echo's Proxy middleware selects a raw tunnel from a client WebSocket upgrade request before verifying that the configured upstream accepted the upgrade. If the upstream rejects the upgrade with an ordinary keep-alive response, later HTTP requests on the connection are sent directly to that upstream without passing through Echo's router or route-specific middleware. This can bypass authentication or authorization enforced only by Echo routes, but requires an accessible proxy route, a cooperating rejected-upgrade response, and a target without independent upstream authorization. Echo: BodyDump can discard BodyLimit overflow errors for unknown-length requests

Echo is a Go web framework. From 5.0.0 until 5.4.1, Echo v5's BodyDump middleware can discard a BodyLimit overflow error for an unknown-length request when BodyDump's capture limit is below the BodyLimit threshold. BodyDump drains the remaining body while ignoring read errors and replaces it with the captured prefix, so an HTTP/1.1 chunked request can be truncated and processed successfully even though the original body exceeded the configured limit. Known-length requests rejected before BodyDump runs are unaffected, and the issue does not establish a general authentication bypass or denial of service. This issue is fixed in 5.4.1.

Apache Camel Vertx Websocket: The inbound consumer maps externally-supplied WebSocket query and path parameters into the Exchange without a HeaderFilterStrategy, allowing injection of Camel control headers

Improper Input Validation, Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor, Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Apache Camel in Vertx Websocket component. The camel-vertx-websocket consumer mapped inbound WebSocket query and path parameters into the Camel Exchange header map without applying any HeaderFilterStrategy (VertxWebsocketConsumer.populateExchangeHeaders()). Because nothing blocked the Camel header namespace, a client connecting to the WebSocket endpoint could set Camel-internal control headers - including CamelHttpUri (Exchange.HTTP_URI) - simply by supplying them as query parameters. Cisco IOS XE Software for Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controllers IPv6 Denial of Service Vulnerability

A vulnerability in IPv6 traffic processing of Cisco IOS XE Wireless Controller Software for Cisco Catalyst 9000 Family Wireless Controllers could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Layer 2 (L2) loop in a configured VLAN, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition for that VLAN. The vulnerability is due to a logic error when processing specific link-local IPv6 traffic. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted IPv6 packet that would flow inbound through the wired interface of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause traffic drops in the affected VLAN, thus trig

Echo: WebSocket proxy can retain connections and handlers after client disconnect

Echo is a Go web framework. From 4.15.0 until 4.16.1 and 5.4.1, Echo's Proxy middleware can retain a handler, copy goroutines, and network connections after a WebSocket client disconnects when the upstream keeps its connection open. The raw proxy waits for both copy directions without reliably closing the peer connection when one direction ends, including when a rejected upgrade response uses HTTP keep-alive. Repeated connections can accumulate resources and cause denial of service, depending on proxy-route accessibility, upstream behavior, and connection deadlines. This issue is fixed in 4.16.1 and 5.4.1.
