filelock: ReadWriteLock on Windows acts on SQLite side files another local user places beside its database

On Windows, `ReadWriteLock` and `AsyncReadWriteLock` (the SQLite-backed reader/writer lock) connect SQLite to the lock database by its path, in every directory. SQLite derives three side files from that path: `<database>-journal`, the rollback journal (pages saved to undo an interrupted write); `<database>-wal`, the write-ahead log (changes kept outside the main file); and `<database>-shm`, the shared-memory index of the WAL. SQLite acts on whichever of these it finds beside the database before the lock runs any statement. filelock: On Windows an oplock on a soft lock's marker holds SoftFileLock.acquire() past its timeout and blocks the stale break

On Windows the soft locks (`SoftFileLock`, `MarkerSoftFileLock`, `SoftFileLease`, their async forms, and a `FileLock` that fell back to a soft lock) read their marker by path. The marker is the lock file whose presence says a process holds the lock. Each `acquire()` attempt that finds a marker opens it with `os.open` to read the holder's process id, and the lock renames and deletes a marker it judges stale, by path. On Windows each of these calls waits for an oplock. An oplock (opportunistic lock) is a request by a process that holds a handle on a file to be told before another process opens, renames or deletes that file; the other process wa

Arbitrary file read and backend crash through unrestricted provider method calls

Postiz lets a signed-in user ask the backend to run a function on one of their connected channels. The backend did not restrict which functions can be requested, so a user could call internal helper functions that were never meant to be reachable from the web interface. One of those helpers reads a file from the server's disk. A user who connects a channel whose stored token is a file path can have the backend return the contents of any file it can read, including its environment, which holds the secret used to sign login sessions, the database address and the credentials of connected services. Another helper makes the backend process exit w

Low privilege condition filter escapes Twig sandbox, recovers "securityKey" and reaches RCE

Craft CMS allows any authenticated control panel user to submit an element-search condition whose element selector is evaluated as a sandboxed Twig object template. Craft’s allowed column filter delegates property lookup to Yii ArrayHelper, outside Twig’s SecurityPolicy. Repeated single-segment lookups therefore bypass the sandbox’s empty property/method allowlists. The vulnerable condition value is ultimately cast to an integer. That does not protect the secret: the template can return author ID 1 when a guessed key character is correct and an impossible ID otherwise. The JSON endpoint returns entries for the first case and an empty array

Fallow: A `.*` glob segment let an analyzed repository make Fallow test paths in the parent of the project root

    ### Impact Fallow expands some globs from the analyzed repository on disk. Before 3.34.0, a segment such as `.*`, `.?` or `..*` in such a glob also matched the special `..` entry. The `glob` crate tests `..` against a segment that starts with a literal `.`. Fallow validates plugin glob patterns and refuses absolute paths and `..` segments, but these segments passed that validation. The attacker controls the repository content. The attacker must also be able to read the Fallow output, for example a CI log or a pull request comment. Then the attacker can learn if a file or directory exists in the parent of the project root: - A plugin `fileE

postal-mime: Quadratic CPU consumption when decoding a header of many joinable RFC 2047 base64 encoded words

    ### Impact Decoding a header that holds a long run of joinable RFC 2047 base64 encoded words, such as `=?utf-8?B?QUJD?=` repeated tens of thousands of times in a `Subject`, `From`, `To`, a filename or a description, took time quadratic in the number of words. The join check ran a regex over the text joined so far for every word, which flattens the accumulated string each time. A single well formed message of about 1.6 MB blocked the event loop for one to twenty seconds depending on the host, and inline `message/rfc822` parts multiplied the cost, since each nested message carried its own header budget. Any application that parses untrusted m

Nodemailer: A nested comment ends early in addressparser, releasing the rest of the comment as a recipient

    ### Vulnerability summary RFC 5322 comments nest. addressparser ended a comment at the first `)`, including the one that closes a nested comment, and parsed the rest of the outer comment as header text. `Victim (x(y) <[email protected]>) <[email protected]>` names `[email protected]` with `x(y) <[email protected]>` as a comment, and Nodemailer read it as the address `[email protected]`. This is the same shape as the escaped parenthesis fixed in 10.1.2, reached through nesting instead of a quoted-pair. Nodemailer: A ";" inside a quoted string or comment ends an address group early in addressparser, turning display text into a recipient

    ### Vulnerability summary addressparser ends an RFC 5322 group at the first `;`, including one inside a quoted display name or a comment. The text after it is parsed again as top level recipients with the quoting flipped, so text that every conformant parser reads as a display name or comment becomes a live address. `G: (a; <[email protected]>) <[email protected]>;` names only `[email protected]`, and Nodemailer read it as the single recipient `[email protected]`. ### Vulnerability summary addressparser ends an angle-addr at the first `>` it sees, including one inside a quoted local part, a comment or a domain literal. The domain is then read off the text in front of that `>`. `<"[email protected]>"@good.com>` is the mailbox `"[email protected]>"@good.com` under RFC 5322, and Nodemailer read it as an address at `evil.com`. The unbracketed spelling of the same value was already read correctly. Unauthenticated payment reuse allows unpaid orders to be marked as paid

The Mollie webhook endpoint accepts two independent, attacker-controlled parameters and never verifies that they belong together: * commerceTransactionHash — selects which Craft Commerce transaction is completed * id — selects which Mollie payment is queried for its status An unauthenticated attacker holding any paid Mollie payment ID from the merchant’s account can pair it with any transaction hash. Kakao khaiii JSON Config File Linear.cpp open out-of-bounds

A security flaw has been discovered in Kakao khaiii up to 0.4. The impacted element is the function khaiii::nn::Linear::open of the file src/main/cpp/khaiii/nn/Linear.cpp of the component JSON Config File Handler. The manipulation of the argument hidden_dim/class_num results in out-of-bounds read. The attack requires a local approach. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor explains: "khaiii treats the resource directory (--rsc-dir) as trusted input, like a binary or a shared library. Control panel only API response emulation replaces "securityKey" and reaches server RCE

The app/process-api-response-headers action accepts fake Craft API response headers from any authenticated control panel user. A non-admin user with only accessCp can place newline characters in X-Craft-Plugin-Licenses. Craft passes this value to its .env writer without removing the newlines. This lets the user insert a new attacker-known CRAFT_SECURITY_KEY into .env. After Craft loads that key, the user can forge a signed login redirect containing a Twig system() callback. This is different from the previous report. That report reads the existing key through a Twig sandbox bypass. This report replaces the key through fake API header

Serialize JavaScript: Cross-site scripting (XSS) via unescaped </script at the end of a serialized function body

Serialize JavaScript serializes JavaScript values to a superset of JSON that includes regular expressions and functions. Prior to 7.1.3, the function-source escaping logic does not neutralize a bare closing-script prefix when attacker-influenced function source text ends exactly at that prefix. Because each function body is escaped independently, a delimiter supplied by surrounding serialized output can terminate an HTML script element, and a later serialized value supplies injected markup that becomes a live element in the page. Exploitation requires control of a serialized function's source text, such as through a spoofed toString(). This i

Happy DOM: Incomplete fix for CVE-2026-33943: unsanitized import alias leads to host code execution

Happy DOM is a JavaScript implementation of a web browser without its graphical user interface. From 17.0.0 until 21.0.4, packages/happy-dom/src/module/ECMAScriptModuleCompiler.ts accepts a named ESM import alias without validating that it is a JavaScript binding identifier before inserting it into a generated destructuring binding. With enableJavaScriptEvaluation enabled, attacker-controlled HTML or module source can use an invalid alias that becomes a valid default initializer after compilation, causing the generated JavaScript to execute in the Node.js host process. The demonstrated reachable path uses a JSON module import attribute, which

FastMCP: Post-transform component authorization is skipped on direct calls

    ## Maintainer assessment and remediation This report is accepted as a FastMCP authorization vulnerability. In supported configurations, a server transform can change the metadata used by a component's authorization policy. Direct lookups previously checked the original component but returned the transformed component without rechecking its policy. A client that knows the component identifier can invoke a tool or retrieve a resource or prompt that the configured policy denies. The fixes authorize the final transformed tools, resources, templates, and prompts. A denied concrete resource also shadows a matching resource template at its URI, pr

FastMCP MCP client wrappers construct M2M OAuth providers without issuer binding — client secret redirectable to attacker-advertised authorization server

    ## Maintainer assessment and remediation This report is accepted as a FastMCP credential-binding vulnerability. Affected versions of the OAuth client credentials providers do not expose the authorization-server issuer that owns pre-registered credentials. An untrusted or compromised MCP server can therefore advertise a different authorization server and receive the client secret or a signed assertion. Signing keys themselves remain local; assertion replayability depends on the assertion source and audience policy. Affected stable versions are 4.0.0–4.1.1 of `fastmcp` and `fastmcp-slim`. Wasmtime: Cranelift backend on aarch64 can jump to incorrect target on large Wasm `br_table` instruction

Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. Prior to 36.0.19, 48.0.7, and 49.0.4, the Cranelift compiler backend on aarch64 can compile a Wasm br_table instruction with more than approximately 256,000 targets so that it has an incorrect conditional branch target. The branch can then jump to arbitrary other code at a user-controlled offset, allowing a user-controlled Wasm module to escape the sandbox on aarch64 engines using the default Cranelift backend. This issue is fixed in versions 36.0.19, 48.0.7, and 49.0.4.

Wasmtime: Panic lowering a host-created component model stream into a guest that expects a different payload type

Wasmtime is a runtime for WebAssembly. From 46.0.0 until 48.0.7 and 49.0.4, lowering a host-created component-model stream or future into a guest can omit a required payload-type check after the value passes through guest code and returns through StreamAny, FutureAny, Val::Stream, Val::Future, or an equivalent typed reader. A malicious guest that controls exported function types or returned values can cause the host to pass the type-erased value to a guest expecting a different payload type, which panics the Wasmtime host. This issue is fixed in versions 48.0.7 and 49.0.4.
