drm/vc4: drain the hangcheck timer and works on V3D unbind
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/vc4: drain the hangcheck timer and works on V3D unbind
Nothing stops the hangcheck timer that submitted jobs arm, or the
job_done_work that the render-done interrupt queues, at teardown:
vc4_irq_disable() cancels only overflow_mem_work, and vc4_gem_destroy()
runs from the drm-managed release, after vc4_v3d_unbind() has already
uninstalled the V3D interrupt and cleared vc4->v3d. A timer still armed
by then reads V3D registers through the NULL vc4->v3d pointer, and the
late callbacks run on the vc4_dev embedding them after it has been
freed.
Drain them in vc4_v3d_unbind(
drm/amdgpu: serialize vblank counter reads against GPU reset
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: serialize vblank counter reads against GPU reset
The vblank counter callback reads display registers and scanout
position without holding reset_domain->sem. During GPU recovery,
display commit work can call the callback while reset owns the
semaphore for writing. The hardware access then triggers the
lockdep_assert_held() in amdgpu_device_skip_hw_access() and sets
TAINT_WARN when lockdep is enabled.
Try to acquire the reset semaphore for reading before accessing the
hardware, and hold it across the counter and scanout-position reads.
If reset is already in prog
net: openvswitch: validate transport header presence in set_ipv6_addr
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: openvswitch: validate transport header presence in set_ipv6_addr
When executing IPv6 address rewrite actions on IPv6 fragments,
set_ipv6_addr() calls update_ipv6_checksum(). If parse_ipv6hdr()
processes a non-first IPv6 fragment, it sets key->ip.proto to
NEXTHDR_FRAGMENT and returns early without calling
skb_set_transport_header().
update_ipv6_checksum() unconditionally evaluates skb_transport_offset()
on entry before checking l4_proto. Because skb->transport_header is
uninitialized, this triggers a warning under CONFIG_DEBUG_NET=y although
it is completely harmless.

ksmbd: fix heap out-of-bounds write in krb5_authenticate()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix heap out-of-bounds write in krb5_authenticate()
In krb5_authenticate(), out_len is calculated to determine available
headroom in response_buf for the incoming Kerberos AP-REP token. However,
when SMB2_SESSION_SETUP is processed as a non-first element of a compounded
SMB2 request, the calculation omits work->next_smb2_rsp_hdr_off.
This causes out_len to overstate remaining buffer headroom by
the cumulative size of prior responses in the compound chain. Consequently,
the length check in ksmbd_krb5_authenticate()
(*out_len <= resp->spnego_blob_len) passes erroneous
KVM: x86: Use active memslots for the per-vCPU MMIO cache
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: x86: Use active memslots for the per-vCPU MMIO cache
KVM tags the per-vCPU MMIO cache with a memslot generation so that a
memslot update invalidates cached MMIO information. Both the fill and
validation paths use kvm_memslots(), which unconditionally selects address
space 0, even when the vCPU is running in SMM and using address space 1.
Commit 56f17dd3fbc4 ("kvm: x86: fix stale mmio cache bug") added the
memslot generation to the cache key so that a memslot update could not
leave a stale entry valid. When commit 699023e23965 ("KVM: x86: add SMM

fs: Free any excess xarray nodes in clear_inode()
For many years we've had a hard to hit leak of xarray nodes. Hugh
documented it well in commit 786b31121a2c. Recently people and

than fix the leaks where they happen, just call xa_destroy() which
has the side-effect of cycling the i_pages lock.
ipv4: udp: Create exceptions before socket matching
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv4: udp: Create exceptions before socket matching
Currently, when ICMP Fragmentation Needed and Redirect Message packets
are locally delivered and quote a UDP packet, a FIB nexthop exception
(FNHE) is only created if the kernel can match the UDP packet to an
existing socket.
This behavior allows off-path attackers to conduct a side-channel attack
on the FNHE cache in order to discover the ephemeral port used by a
connected UDP socket.

btrfs: scrub: fix local_root reference leak in scrub_print_warning_inode()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: scrub: fix local_root reference leak in scrub_print_warning_inode()
When paths_from_inode() fails, scrub_print_warning_inode() jumps to err
without dropping the reference taken by btrfs_get_fs_root(), leaking a
reference to the root every time path resolution fails while printing
scrub warnings. Every other error and success path of the function
drops the reference.
Drop the reference on the paths_from_inode() failure path too.
dm ioctl: don't let data_start run past the buffer
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm ioctl: don't let data_start run past the buffer
struct dm_ioctl has seven bytes of trailing padding, so the smallest
buffer userspace is allowed to ask for, offsetof(struct dm_ioctl, data),
is seven bytes shorter than sizeof(struct dm_ioctl).
get_result_buffer() sets data_start to sizeof(struct dm_ioctl) without
looking at how big the buffer actually is. Ask for the minimum and
data_start ends up seven bytes past the end. Callers add it to
data_size, and ctl_ioctl() copies that much back to userspace:

wifi: brcmfmac: fix P2P device removal race in brcmf_detach()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: brcmfmac: fix P2P device removal race in brcmf_detach()
When the driver is removed while the user space process that created
the P2P device (e.g. wpa_supplicant) is still exiting, the P2P device
interface is removed twice and the kernel crashes.
The two paths are:
- wpa_supplicant, on exit, sends NL80211_CMD_DEL_INTERFACE for the P2P
device. nl80211_del_interface() holds RTNL and the wiphy mutex and
calls brcmf_p2p_del_vif(), which disables discovery and waits up to
1.5 s for BRCMF_E_IF_DEL. Then it calls brcmf_remove_interface(),
which unregisters the
workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in chained work check
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in chained work check
current_wq_worker() only tells us that %current is a kworker. It does
not guarantee that the worker is currently executing a work item, as
worker->current_pwq is populated only while process_one_work() is running
the work function.
is_chained_work() can be reached while queueing on a draining or
destroying workqueue. If a kworker outside work-item execution reaches
that path, current_wq_worker() returns a worker but worker->current_pwq is
NULL, and the chained-work test can fault before it emits the intended

xen/netfront: don't leak the skb when xennet_fill_frags() fails
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xen/netfront: don't leak the skb when xennet_fill_frags() fails
When a response chain has more slots than fit in the skb's frags,
xennet_fill_frags() returns an error and xennet_poll() jumps to its
error path. That path moves what's left on tmpq to errq to be freed,
but the skb being filled was already dequeued from tmpq, so it's never
freed. Each chain that overflows leaks the skb and the pages attached
to it as frags, and the backend decides how many slots it sends.
Put the skb back on tmpq before taking the error path, like the
xennet_set_skb_gso() failure just above
tipc: destroy topsrv workqueues before closing connections
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: destroy topsrv workqueues before closing connections
tipc_topsrv_stop() closed subscriber connections while the topology
server's send and receive workqueues were still running. Socket
callbacks and subscription events could then queue more work, and
in-flight send/recv work could drop the last connection reference
during the conn_idr walk.
That race produced several teardown failures: refcount_t addition on
0 from conn_get() on a connection whose release was blocked on
idr_lock, a subsequent use-after-free in tipc_conn_close(),
queue_work() on an already destroyed w
selinux: preserve NATIVE_LABELS on already-initialized sb in set_mnt_opts
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
selinux: preserve NATIVE_LABELS on already-initialized sb in set_mnt_opts
When an NFSv4 filesystem exported with security_label is mounted a
second time, sget_fc() returns the existing superblock and
nfs_get_root() calls security_sb_set_mnt_opts() again on it. Since the
superblock is already SB_INITIALIZED, selinux_set_mnt_opts() takes an
early exit without setting SECURITY_LSM_NATIVE_LABELS in
*set_kern_flags. nfs_get_root() then sees kflags without
SECURITY_LSM_NATIVE_LABELS set and clears NFS_CAP_SECURITY_LABEL on
the shared nfs_server, silently disabling per-file labeli
ibmveth: h_free logical LAN on open-fail after register
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ibmveth: h_free logical LAN on open-fail after register
ibmveth_open() registers the logical LAN, then allocates the RX
buffer pools. A pool failure jumps to out_free_buffer_pools without
h_free_logical_lan(), so PHYP still owns the buffer-list page when
it is unmapped. request_irq() failure already issued the hypercall
before taking the same label.
Move that h_free to the shared post-register unwind so both paths
deregister before the buffer list is unmapped.

KEYS: Fix add_key() race with keyring restriction
__key_create_or_update() snapshots keyring->restrict_link before taking
the destination keyring's semaphore. keyring_restrict() installs a
restriction while holding that semaphore.
This allows a writer to observe no restriction, wait for the keyring
owner to install a reject-all restriction and return successfully, and
then link a key using the stale NULL snapshot. The writer only needs
write permission on the destination keyring.
Move the restrict_link read after __key_link_lock() and
__key_link_begin(). The read and t
memstick: core: wait for request completion before freeing card
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
memstick: core: wait for request completion before freeing card
In memstick_alloc_card() and memstick_set_rw_addr(),
wait_for_completion_timeout() is used to wait for device identification
and address configuration requests to complete.
The memstick subsystem does not provide an abort or cancellation
callback in struct memstick_host for in-flight requests. If
wait_for_completion_timeout() expires (for instance, when a USB transfer
or command retry is delayed), memstick_alloc_card() returns an error and
frees the memstick_dev structure via kfree(card).
However, the host co
