Remote Code Execution (RCE) via String Literal Injection into math-codegen
math-codegen generates code from mathematical expressions. Prior to version 0.4.3, string literal content passed to cg.parse() is injected verbatim into a new Function() body without sanitization. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary system commands when user-controlled input reaches the parser. Any application exposing a math evaluation endpoint where user input flows into cg.parse() is vulnerable to full RCE. This issue has been patched in version 0.4.3.
Angular: SSRF via protocol-relative and backslash URLs in Angular Platform-Server
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to versions 19.2.21, 20.3.19, 21.2.9, and 22.0.0-next.8, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in @angular/platform-server due to improper handling of URLs during Server-Side Rendering (SSR). When an attacker sends a request such as GET /\evil.com/ HTTP/1.1 the server engine (Express, etc.) passes the URL string to Angular’s rendering functions. Because the URL parser normalizes the backslash to a forward slash for HTTP/HTTPS schemes, the internal state of the application is hijacked to
Sync-in Server is a secure, open-source platform for file storage, sharing, collaboration, and syncing. Prior to version 2.2.0, the /api/auth/login endpoint contains a logic flaw that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to enumerate valid usernames by measuring the application's response time. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.0.
OpenLearnX has Critical Remote Code Execution Through Python Sandbox Escape via Code Execution Environment
OpenLearnX is an open-source, decentralized learning and assessment platform. Prior to version 2.0.3, a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability was identified in the OpenLearnX code execution environment, allowing sandbox escape and arbitrary command execution. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.3.
Axios: Prototype pollution read-side gadgets in HTTP adapter allow credential injection and request hijacking
Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From version 1.0.0 to before version 1.15.2, fFive config properties (auth, baseURL, socketPath, beforeRedirect, and insecureHTTPParser) in the HTTP adapter are read via direct property access without hasOwnProperty guards, making them exploitable as prototype pollution gadgets. When Object.prototype is polluted by another dependency in the same process, axios silently picks up these polluted values on every outbound HTTP request. This issue has been patched in version 1.15.2.
electerm: dangerous code can be run through links or command line
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. From versions 3.0.6 to before 3.8.15, electerm is vulnerable to arbitrary local code execution via deep links, CLI --opts, or crafted shortcuts. Exploit requires clicking a crafted electerm://... link or opening a crafted shortcut/command that launches electerm with attacker-controlled opts. This issue has been patched in version 3.8.15.
electerm: Full process.env exposed to renderer via window.pre.env in electerm
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. In versions 3.8.15 and prior, the getConstants() IPC handler in src/app/lib/ipc-sync.js serialises the entire process.env object and sends it to the renderer. The data is stored as window.pre.env and is accessible from any JavaScript running in the renderer (e.g., via the DevTools console or a compromised webview context). An attacker who achieves any JavaScript execution within the renderer can trivially exfiltrate these secrets to a remote server, leading to cloud account compromise, supply chain attacks, and lateral movement. At time of publication, t
Unvalidated shell.openExternal in electerm allows arbitrary protocol execution via terminal link click
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. In versions 3.8.15 and prior, Electerm's terminal hyperlink handler passes any URL clicked in the terminal directly to shell.openExternal without any protocol validation. An attacker who controls terminal output (e.g., via a malicious SSH server, compromised remote host, or malicious plugin rendering terminal content) can thus achieve arbitrary code execution or local file access on the victim's machine, requiring only that the victim clicks a displayed link. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.
electerm: Path traversal in electerm runWidget leads to arbitrary code execution
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.7.16, the runWidget function in src/app/widgets/load-widget.js constructs a file path by directly concatenating user‑supplied widget identifiers without any sanitisation. Because runWidget is exposed to the renderer process via an asynchronous IPC handler with no input validation, an attacker who achieves JavaScript execution inside the renderer (for example, through a malicious plugin or a cross‑site scripting flaw in the built‑in webview) can abuse a path traversal (../) to load and execute an arbitrary JavaScript file anywhere on th
electerm: RCE via malicious SSH server filename in openFileWithEditor
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.7.9, a code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in electerm's SFTP open with system editor or "Edit with custom editor" feature. When a user opts to edit a file using open with system editor or open with a custom editor, the filename is passed directly into a command line without sanitization. A malicious actor controlling the SSH server or user OS can exploit this by crafting a filename containing shell metacharacters. If a victim subsequently attempts to edit this file, the injected commands are executed on their machine with the us
electerm has Command Injection Vulnerability via runMac function
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.3.8, a command injection vulnerability exists in github.com/elcterm/electerm/npm/install.js:150. The runMac() function appends attacker-controlled remote releaseInfo.name directly into an exec("open ...") command without validation. This issue has been patched in version 3.3.8.
electerm has Command Injection Vulnerability via runLinux function
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.3.8, a command injection vulnerability exists in github.com/elcterm/electerm/npm/install.js:130. The runLinux() function appends attacker-controlled remote version strings directly into an exec("rm -rf ...") command without validation. This issue has been patched in version 3.3.8.
gyoridavid short-video-maker REST API rest.ts path traversal
A security flaw has been discovered in gyoridavid short-video-maker up to 1.3.4. This affects an unknown part of the file src/server/routers/rest.ts of the component REST API. The manipulation of the argument req.params.tmpFile results in path traversal. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
mcp-ssh-tool has file transfer path policy bypass and bearer token comparison hardening
## Summary
`mcp-ssh-tool` has released version `2.1.1` with security hardening for transfer path authorization and HTTP bearer authentication.
The release addresses:
- insufficient local path policy enforcement in transfer-related filesystem handling
- incomplete canonicalization and segment-boundary handling for deny-prefix path policy checks
- non-constant-time HTTP bearer token comparison
## Impact
Affected versions may allow policy bypass in transfer path handling under specific configurations, and may expose a timing side channel in bearer-token comparison for HTTP deployments.
## Patched Version
Upgrade to `mcp-ssh-tool >= 2.1.1`
n8n-MCP: IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses bypass SSRF protection in validateUrlSync(), enabling full SSRF for SDK embedders
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. In versions 2.47.4 through 2.47.13, the SDK embedder path (N8NDocumentationMCPServer constructor, getN8nApiClient(), and validateInstanceContext()), the synchronous URL validator in SSRFProtection.validateUrlSync() had no IPv6 checks. IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses such as http://[::ffff:169.254.169.254] bypassed the cloud-metadata, localhost, and private-IP range checks. An attacker able to supply an n8nApiUrl value could cause the server to issue HTTP requests to cloud metadata endpoints, RFC1918 private networks, or localhost serv
Inngest TypeScript SDK exposes environment variables via serve() handler on unhandled HTTP methods
Inngest is a platform for running event-driven and scheduled background functions with queueing, retries, and step orchestration. Versions 3.22.0 through 3.53.1 contain a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to exfiltrate environment variables from the host process via the serve() HTTP handler. The serve() handler implements GET, POST, and PUT methods. Requests using PATCH, OPTIONS, or DELETE fall through to a generic handler that returns diagnostic information. A change introduced in v3.22.0 caused this diagnostic response to include the contents of process.env, exposing any secrets, API keys, or credentials present in
i18next-http-backend has Path Traversal & URL Injection via Unsanitised lng/ns
Copilot said: i18nextify is a JavaScript library that adds
i18nextify is a JavaScript library that adds website internationalization via a script tag, without source code changes. Versions prior to 3.0.5 interpolate the lng and ns values directly into the configured loadPath / addPath URL template without any encoding, validation, or path sanitisation. When an application exposes the language-code selection to user-controlled input (the default — i18next-browser-languagedetector reads ?lng= query params, cookies, localStorage, and request headers), an attacker can inject characters that change the structure of the outgoing request URL. This i
i18nextify is vulnerable to DOM XSS via javascript:/data: URL schemes in translated href/src attributes
i18nextify is a JavaScript library that adds website internationalization via a script tag, without source code changes. Versions prior to 4.0.8 substitute {{key}} interpolation tokens inside src and href attribute values with the raw string returned by i18next.t(). The substitution logic in src/localize.js (the replaceInside handler) only guards against a duplicated http:// origin prefix — it does not validate the URL scheme of the substituted value. A translated value such as javascript:alert(1) or data:text/html,<script>...</script> is applied unchanged to the live DOM attribute when an attacker can influence the content of a translation f
Saltcorn: Open Redirect in `POST /auth/login` due to incomplete `is_relative_url` validation (backslash bypass)
Saltcorn is an extensible, open source, no-code database application builder. Prior to versions 1.4.6, 1.5.6, and 1.6.0-beta.5, Saltcorn validates the post-login dest parameter with a string check that only blocks :/ and //. Because all WHATWG-compliant browsers normalise backslashes (\) to forward slashes (/) for special schemes, a payload such as /\evil.com/path slips through is_relative_url(), is emitted unchanged in the HTTP Location header, and causes the browser to navigate cross-origin to an attacker-controlled domain. The bug is reachable on a default install and only requires a victim who can be tricked into logging in via a crafted
Budibase auth session cookies are set with httpOnly:false — any XSS can lead to full account takeover
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to version 3.35.10, the budibase:auth cookie containing the JWT session token is set with httpOnly: false at packages/backend-core/src/utils/utils.ts:218. JavaScript can read this cookie via document.cookie. This means every XSS becomes a full account takeover — the attacker steals the JWT and has persistent access to the victim's account. The cookie also lacks secure: true (sent over plaintext HTTP) and sameSite attribute. This issue has been patched in version 3.35.10.
