[mcp-atlassian] Authentication bypass in HTTP transport: AtlassianOpaqueTokenVerifier accepts any non-empty token

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, the HTTP transport accepts requests without a verified user identity and downstream fetcher construction falls back to the operator's globally configured Jira or Confluence credentials. A network client that can reach the MCP endpoint can invoke Atlassian tools as the operator, including read and write operations available to that account. The advisory traces the vulnerable input and processing flow through UserTokenMiddleware, AtlassianOpaqueTokenVerifier, _get_fetcher, and streamable-http, which identify the affected entry p

MCP Atlassian: SSRF via DNS Rebinding in Header-Based Authentication Flow

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, header-supplied Jira or Confluence URLs are resolved and validated before the HTTP client resolves the hostname again for the connection. An unauthenticated caller can use a DNS-rebinding hostname that returns a public address during validation and an internal address during connection, causing requests to internal or metadata services. The advisory traces the vulnerable input and processing flow through X-Atlassian-Jira-Url, X-Atlassian-Confluence-Url, validate_url_for_ssrf, and DNS rebinding, which identify the affected entr

MCP Atlassian: Arbitrary File Read via Upload Attachment Tools

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, the Jira and Confluence attachment upload tools treat caller-controlled file_path values as trusted server-local paths. The server opens the selected file and uploads it to an Atlassian issue or page, allowing an MCP caller with upload access to disclose any file readable by the server process. The advisory traces the vulnerable input and processing flow through confluence_upload_attachment, jira_upload_attachment, file_path, and open(file_path, "rb"), which identify the affected entry points, controls, and code paths. MCP Atlassian: Arbitrary file read/exfiltration via upload_attachment missing validate_safe_path()

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, upload_attachment in src/mcp_atlassian/confluence/attachments.py accepts a caller-controlled file_path and opens the selected server-local file without restricting it to the workspace. A permitted Confluence MCP caller can upload the file as an attachment and disclose data readable by the server process. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.0.

    MCP Atlassian: SSRF Protection Bypass

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, validate_url_for_ssrf has a backslash authority confusion because it interprets the authority differently from the Requests connection layer in the header-based Jira and Confluence URL authentication flow. A crafted URL can validate as an external hostname while the HTTP client connects to an internal host, permitting server-side requests to protected network resources. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.0.

LightRAG: Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in the LightRAG WebUI chat/answer renderer via ingested content

LightRAG provides simple and fast retrieval-augmented generation. Prior to 1.5.5, lightrag_webui/src/components/retrieval/ChatMessage.tsx renders answer and thinking content with react-markdown, rehypeRaw, and skipHtml=false without an HTML sanitizer. An attacker who can add a document can store raw HTML that is returned through the query path and rendered as active content by MessageMarkdown. A user who later retrieves the content can execute attacker-controlled JavaScript through elements such as an iframe srcdoc; the additional Mermaid securityLevel: loose rendering path also injects generated SVG through innerHTML. LightRAG: SSRF via IPv6-transition address bypass (NAT64, IPv4-compatible, 6to4) of the native-markdown image-download guard

LightRAG provides simple and fast retrieval-augmented generation. Prior to 1.5.5, _validated_addresses in lightrag/parser/markdown/parser.py evaluates the literal resolved address with ipaddress.is_global without consistently classifying an IPv4 address embedded in an IPv6 transition wrapper. A caller who can upload a Markdown or textpack document can supply an external image URL using NAT64 64:ff9b::/96 or an IPv4-compatible form that embeds a loopback, private, or cloud-metadata IPv4 address. On a deployment with compatible NAT64 or DNS64 routing, _download and _build_guarded_opener accept the wrapper and fetch the internal resource, whose

LightRAG: No Rate Limiting on /login Endpoint Allows Brute-Force Attacks

LightRAG provides simple and fast retrieval-augmented generation. Prior to 1.5.5, the POST /login endpoint in lightrag/api/lightrag_server.py does not impose a rate limit, account lockout, delay, or counter for failed authentication attempts. A network attacker can submit password guesses at full request speed until a valid account password is found. Successful credential recovery grants authenticated access to documents, the knowledge graph, and administrative operations. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.5.

LightRAG: Plaintext Passwords Compared Without Constant-Time Function

LightRAG provides simple and fast retrieval-augmented generation. Prior to 1.5.5, verify_password in lightrag/api/passwords.py compares plaintext AUTH_ACCOUNTS password values with Python's == operator. The comparison can return after the first mismatching byte, creating response-time differences based on password length and matching prefixes. A network attacker with sufficiently low-latency access can repeatedly query the /login endpoint and use the timing oracle to recover a plaintext-configured password character by character. Deployments using bcrypt-prefixed password values are not affected by this comparison path. This issue is fixed in

Prior to 1.5.5, the LightRAG API server returns raw Python exception text from error handlers in document_routes.py, graph_routes.py, query_routes.py, ollama_api.py, and lightrag_server.py. The detail=str(e), detail=str(exc), and equivalent formatted-message paths expose server filesystem paths, database host, port, user, and database names, language-model provider diagnostics, configuration details, and Python library internals to a network client that can trigger an error. AnyIO: TLSStream IDNA 2003 host name encoding enables potential TLS certificate spoofing

AnyIO is a high level asynchronous concurrency and networking framework that works on top of either Trio or asyncio. Prior to 4.14.2, connect_tcp() and TLSStream.wrap() can validate internationalized host names after the standard library converts them with IDNA 2003 instead of IDNA 2008. When a connection to a non-ASCII domain is hijacked or redirected, an attacker can obtain a legitimate certificate for the different ASCII hostname produced by IDNA 2003 and present it to the client, causing the malicious endpoint's certificate to validate. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.2.

vLLM through 0.29.0 Memory Exhaustion via Unvalidated NIXL tp_size

vLLM through 0.29.0 fails to validate the tp_size parameter in kv_transfer_params on OpenAI-compatible completion endpoints, allowing attackers to allocate unbounded memory. Attackers can supply arbitrary tp_size values in prefill/decode disaggregated deployments to exhaust memory and trigger kernel OOM-kill of the decode worker process.

Zapros has an Unbounded Content-Encoding decompression chain that allows denial of service

Zapros, a Python HTTP client, prior to version 0.14.0 is vulnerable to denial of service when an application requests content from an untrusted server, or follows a redirect to one, because a malicious response containing an excessive number of chained `Content-Encoding` values causes Zapros to construct a deeply nested decompression chain that consumes excessive resources. Version 0.14.0 patches the vulnerability by limiting responses to five content-encoding layers and raising `DecodingError` when that limit is exceeded. As a workaround, applications can add response middleware that inspects the `Content-Encoding` header and rejects respons

Zapros: Streaming decoders ignored the requested chunk size, allowing a single compressed response chunk to allocate unbounded memory (decompression bomb)

Zapros, a Python HTTP client, prior to version 0.14.0 is vulnerable to denial of service via memory exhaustion. The issue affects all callers who streamed compressed responses relying on the chunk size — explicit (`iter_bytes(chunk_size=...)`) or the default — to bound memory. The decoder ignored that bound, so a chunk could be far larger than requested and a single compressed response could overflow memory. Version 0.14.0 contains a patch. Some workarounds are available. Read the still-compressed body with `Response.iter_raw()` / `Response.async_iter_raw()`, which bypass the built-in decoders, and decompress it yourself with an explicit outp

Apache Airflow: Logout ignores a presented Authorization bearer token, leaving it revocable only by expiry

Apache Airflow: the Core API logout endpoint revokes only a session token presented as the _token cookie. When a client logs out presenting its credential as an Authorization bearer header instead, the endpoint returns its normal logout response but revokes nothing, so the token remains valid until it expires. An attacker who already holds a copy of that token keeps the victim's access after the victim has logged out and believes the session ended; the default token lifetime is 24 hours and is configurable. Affects API clients that authenticate with a bearer token rather than the browser session cookie. The attacker must already possess a co

Apache Airflow: Assets events API returns asset events for every Dag with no per-Dag authorization filter

Apache Airflow's `/assets/events` API returned asset events for every Dag in the deployment, with no filter restricting them to the Dags the caller is authorized to read. Any authenticated user holding asset-read access could therefore enumerate asset events — including the source Dag ID, task ID, run ID and event timestamps — for Dags they have no permission to see. Because the filter was also absent from the count query, `total_entries` and pagination disclosed the existence of hidden Dags even without inspecting individual rows. Deployments are affected whenever per-Dag access control is used to separate teams or tenants; no special config
