  1. CVE-2026-105958

    Hoch · CVSS 7.5EPSS 0,25%Keine Korrektur veröffentlicht

Spice-server: spice: heap oob read/write via unchecked migration data offsets

A flaw was found in spice-server. Multiple migration data handlers use client-supplied offsets from SPICE_MSGC_MIGRATE_DATA messages without bounds validation, allowing a malicious authenticated SPICE client during VM live migration to read arbitrary heap memory or trigger heap corruption via out-of-bounds read and write operations on the message buffer.

  2. CVE-2026-105959

    Hoch · CVSS 7.5EPSS 0,48%Keine Korrektur veröffentlicht

Spice-server: spice: heap buffer overflow via glz dictionary max_encoders integer truncation

A flaw was found in spice-server. The GLZ encoder dictionary restore path truncates a size_t allocation size to int when calling the malloc callback, allowing a malicious authenticated SPICE client during VM live migration to trigger a massive heap buffer overflow by sending a crafted max_encoders value in migration data.

  3. CVE-2020-23793

    Hoch · CVSS 8.6EPSS 0,84%Keine Korrektur veröffentlicht

    CVE-2020-23793

An issue was discovered in spice-server spice-server-0.14.0-6.el7_6.1.x86_64 of Redhat's VDI product. There is a security vulnerablility that can restart KVMvirtual machine without any authorization. It is not yet known if there will be other other effects.

  4. CVE-2020-14355

    Mittel · CVSS 6.6EPSS 2,66%Korrektur verfügbar

    CVE-2020-14355

Multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities were found in the QUIC image decoding process of the SPICE remote display system, before spice-0.14.2-1. Both the SPICE client (spice-gtk) and server are affected by these flaws. These flaws allow a malicious client or server to send specially crafted messages that, when processed by the QUIC image compression algorithm, result in a process crash or potential code execution.

  5. CVE-2019-3813

    Hoch · CVSS 7.5EPSS 1,21%Korrektur verfügbar

    CVE-2019-3813

Spice, versions 0.5.2 through 0.14.1, are vulnerable to an out-of-bounds read due to an off-by-one error in memslot_get_virt. This may lead to a denial of service, or, in the worst case, code-execution by unauthenticated attackers.

  6. CVE-2016-9577

    Hoch · CVSS 7.5EPSS 3,79%Korrektur verfügbar

    CVE-2016-9577

A vulnerability was discovered in SPICE before 0.13.90 in the server's protocol handling. An authenticated attacker could send crafted messages to the SPICE server causing a heap overflow leading to a crash or possible code execution.

  7. CVE-2016-0749

    Kritisch · CVSS 9.8EPSS 8,49%Korrektur verfügbar

    CVE-2016-0749

The smartcard interaction in SPICE allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (QEMU-KVM process crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors related to connecting to a guest VM, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.

  8. CVE-2015-5260

    Hoch · CVSS 7.8EPSS 0,55%Korrektur verfügbar

    CVE-2015-5260

Heap-based buffer overflow in SPICE before 0.12.6 allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service (heap-based memory corruption and QEMU-KVM crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code on the host via QXL commands related to the surface_id parameter.
