  1. CVE-2024-6383

    Mittel · CVSS 5.3EPSS 0,62%Keine Korrektur veröffentlicht

MongoDB C Driver bson_string_append may be vulnerable to a buffer overflow

The bson_string_append function in MongoDB C Driver may be vulnerable to a buffer overflow where the function might attempt to allocate too small of buffer and may lead to memory corruption of neighbouring heap memory. This issue affects libbson versions prior to 1.27.1

  2. CVE-2024-6381

    Mittel · CVSS 4EPSS 0,39%Keine Korrektur veröffentlicht

MongoDB C Driver bson_strfreev may be susceptible to integer overflow

The bson_strfreev function in the MongoDB C driver library may be susceptible to an integer overflow where the function will try to free memory at a negative offset. This may result in memory corruption. This issue affected libbson versions prior to 1.26.2

  3. CVE-2022-24795

    Mittel · CVSS 5.9EPSS 3,47%Keine Korrektur veröffentlicht

Buffer Overflow and Integer Overflow in yajl-ruby

yajl-ruby is a C binding to the YAJL JSON parsing and generation library. The 1.x branch and the 2.x branch of `yajl` contain an integer overflow which leads to subsequent heap memory corruption when dealing with large (~2GB) inputs. The reallocation logic at `yajl_buf.c#L64` may result in the `need` 32bit integer wrapping to 0 when `need` approaches a value of 0x80000000 (i.e. ~2GB of data), which results in a reallocation of buf->alloc into a small heap chunk. These integers are declared as `size_t` in the 2.x branch of `yajl`, which practically prevents the issue from triggering on 64bit platforms, however this does not preclude this issue
