mm/hugetlb: fix folio is still mapped when deleted

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb: fix folio is still mapped when deleted Migration may be raced with fallocating hole. remove_inode_single_folio will unmap the folio if the folio is still mapped. However, it's called without folio lock. If the folio is migrated and the mapped pte has been converted to migration entry, folio_mapped() returns false, and won't unmap it. Due to extra refcount held by remove_inode_single_folio, migration fails, restores migration entry to normal pte, and the folio is mapped again. As a result, we triggered BUG in filemap_unaccount_folio. The log is as follows:

net: mscc: ocelot: Fix use-after-free caused by cyclic delayed work

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mscc: ocelot: Fix use-after-free caused by cyclic delayed work The origin code calls cancel_delayed_work() in ocelot_stats_deinit() to cancel the cyclic delayed work item ocelot->stats_work. However, cancel_delayed_work() may fail to cancel the work item if it is already executing. While destroy_workqueue() does wait for all pending work items in the work queue to complete before destroying the work queue, it cannot prevent the delayed work item from being rescheduled within the ocelot_check_stats_work() function. This limitation exists because the delayed work item is

scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mvsas: Fix use-after-free bugs in mvs_work_queue During the detaching of Marvell's SAS/SATA controller, the original code calls cancel_delayed_work() in mvs_free() to cancel the delayed work item mwq->work_q. However, if mwq->work_q is already running, the cancel_delayed_work() may fail to cancel it. This can lead to use-after-free scenarios where mvs_free() frees the mvs_info while mvs_work_queue() is still executing and attempts to access the already-freed mvs_info. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work call

scsi: target: target_core_configfs: Add length check to avoid buffer overflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: target_core_configfs: Add length check to avoid buffer overflow A buffer overflow arises from the usage of snprintf to write into the buffer "buf" in target_lu_gp_members_show function located in /drivers/target/target_core_configfs.c. This buffer is allocated with size LU_GROUP_NAME_BUF (256 bytes). snprintf(...) formats multiple strings into buf with the HBA name (hba->hba_group.cg_item), a slash character, a devicename (dev-> dev_group.cg_item) and a newline character, the total formatted string length may exceed the buffer size of 256 bytes. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: b2c2: Fix use-after-free causing by irq_check_work in flexcop_pci_remove The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in flexcop_pci_remove(), which does not guarantee that the delayed work item irq_check_work has fully completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios where flexcop_pci_remove() may free the flexcop_device while irq_check_work is still active and attempts to dereference the device. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) flexcop_pci_remove()

media: i2c: tc358743: Fix use-after-free bugs caused by orphan timer in probe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: i2c: tc358743: Fix use-after-free bugs caused by orphan timer in probe The state->timer is a cyclic timer that schedules work_i2c_poll and delayed_work_enable_hotplug, while rearming itself. Using timer_delete() fails to guarantee the timer isn't still running when destroyed, similarly cancel_delayed_work() cannot ensure delayed_work_enable_hotplug has terminated if already executing. During probe failure after timer initialization, these may continue running as orphans and reference the already-freed tc358743_state object through tc358743_irq_poll_timer. The follow

The only check which is performed by the PF_PACKET framework is to make sure that skb->len fits the interface's MTU. i40e: add validation for ring_len param

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i40e: add validation for ring_len param The `ring_len` parameter provided by the virtual function (VF) is assigned directly to the hardware memory context (HMC) without any validation. To address this, introduce an upper boundary check for both Tx and Rx queue lengths. The maximum number of descriptors supported by the hardware is 8k-32. Additionally, enforce alignment constraints: Tx rings must be a multiple of 8, and Rx rings must be a multiple of 32.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbcon: fix integer overflow in fbcon_do_set_font Fix integer overflow vulnerabilities in fbcon_do_set_font() where font size calculations could overflow when handling user-controlled font parameters. The vulnerabilities occur when: 1. CALC_FONTSZ(h, pitch, charcount) performs h * pith * charcount multiplication with user-controlled values that can overflow. 2. FONT_EXTRA_WORDS * sizeof(int) + size addition can also overflow 3. This results in smaller allocations than expected, leading to buffer overflows during font data copying. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: af_alg - Disallow concurrent writes in af_alg_sendmsg Issuing two writes to the same af_alg socket is bogus as the data will be interleaved in an unpredictable fashion. Furthermore, concurrent writes may create inconsistencies in the internal socket state. Disallow this by adding a new ctx->write field that indiciates exclusive ownership for writing.

iommu/amd/pgtbl: Fix possible race while increase page table level

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/amd/pgtbl: Fix possible race while increase page table level The AMD IOMMU host page table implementation supports dynamic page table levels (up to 6 levels), starting with a 3-level configuration that expands based on IOVA address. The kernel maintains a root pointer and current page table level to enable proper page table walks in alloc_pte()/fetch_pte() operations. The IOMMU IOVA allocator initially starts with 32-bit address and onces its exhuasted it switches to 64-bit address (max address is determined based on IOMMU and device DMA capability).
