Backstage: Improper authorization in GitLab organizational user ingestion
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 0.8.7, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab package is affected by improper authorization in gitlab organizational user ingestion. Deployments that enable GitLab organization event ingestion and rely on scoped catalog users as an access boundary may admit an unintended catalog identity. Depending on sign-in and permission configuration, this may allow unauthorized access with the permissions of a standard authenticated user. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.7.
Backstage: Scaffolder credential handling may allow unintended GitHub authentication fallback
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.54.6, scaffolder source-control actions may not consistently enforce intended credential boundaries. An authenticated user could cause an affected action to fall back to broader integration credentials and perform operations with more access than intended. This issue is fixed in 1.54.6 when operators also enable scaffolder.requireScmUserCredentials after upgrading.
Backstage: Incorrect authorization in scaffolder task listing
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 4.1.0, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend package is affected by incorrect authorization in scaffolder task listing. An authenticated internal user may be able to view metadata for scaffolder tasks outside the visibility intended by a deployment's permission policy. Stored task secrets are not included in the affected response, and no integrity or availability impact was identified. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.0.
Backstage: Explicit negative email verification can be ignored during shared OAuth profile normalization
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.3.0 until 0.6.15 and 0.7.5, the @backstage/plugin-auth-node package did not consistently honor explicit negative email verification during shared OAuth profile normalization. The affected paths include a selected profile email marked verified: false, a matching raw provider email marked email_verified: false, and an email obtained only from an ID token marked email_verified: false. Exploitation requires an admitted identity-provider user who can supply or change an unverified email and a deployment that uses the selected profile email to resolve catalog identities. The veri
Backstage: Improper input validation in Sentry scaffolder actions
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.3.0 until 0.3.8, the @backstage/plugin-scaffolder-backend-module-sentry package is affected by improper input validation in sentry scaffolder actions. An authenticated internal user who can execute the affected actions may cause the backend to contact unintended destinations and disclose Sentry integration credentials. Subsequent impact depends on network reachability and the privileges granted to the configured token. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.8.
Backstage: Inconsistent repository filtering in Bitbucket Server catalog event updates
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.4.0 until 0.5.15, the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-bitbucket-server package is affected by inconsistent repository filtering in bitbucket server catalog event updates. Deployments using event-driven updates in the Bitbucket Server catalog provider may ingest catalog locations from repositories that are excluded by the provider's configured project, repository, or archived-repository filters. An authenticated Bitbucket Server user who can push to a filtered-out repository that remains readable by the configured Backstage integration can trigger a legitimate repos
Backstage: Insufficient audience validation in the Cloudflare Access auth provider
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.1.0 until 0.5.0, the @backstage/plugin-auth-backend-module-cloudflare-access-provider package is affected by insufficient audience validation in the cloudflare access auth provider. The Cloudflare Access auth provider verifies a token's signature and team issuer, but affected versions do not verify that the token was issued for the Backstage application. A user holding a valid token for another Access application in the same Cloudflare Zero Trust team may therefore be able to authenticate to Backstage if that token reaches the auth endpoint without the Backstage application
Backstage: Inconsistent credential enforcement for overlapping proxy routes
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.5.0 until 0.6.18, the @backstage/plugin-proxy-backend package is affected by inconsistent credential enforcement for overlapping proxy routes. An operator can configure overlapping proxy paths with different credential requirements. When a parent path permits unauthenticated access and a nested path requires credentials, the parent exemption can also cover requests handled by the nested proxy. An unauthenticated caller may therefore reach the nested upstream through Backstage, including with static upstream credentials configured for that proxy. This issue is fixed in versi
Backstage: Improper validation of MkDocs plugin configuration in TechDocs
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.11.12 until 1.14.7 and 1.15.5, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package is affected by improper validation of mkdocs plugin configuration in techdocs. An authenticated attacker with control over a TechDocs source repository could cause a documentation build to retrieve and publish data from network locations reachable by the build environment. Exposure depends on deployment topology, build mode, and target endpoint protections. Modern cloud metadata services that require tokens or special headers are not directly accessible through the affected behavior. This issue is fi
StableLib: Prototype poisoning via `__proto__` map keys in CBOR decoding
StableLib is a stable library of useful TypeScript and JavaScript code. Prior to 2.0.4, the @stablelib/cbor CBOR map decoding path creates ordinary JavaScript objects and assigns attacker-controlled keys with bracket assignment. A map key named __proto__ invokes the inherited prototype setter instead of creating an ordinary own property, allowing the decoded object's prototype to contain attacker-controlled authorization or feature-flag values. Downstream code that trusts normal property lookup or merges the decoded object can therefore make security-sensitive decisions using inherited attacker data. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.4.
StableLib: Stack exhaustion denial of service via deeply nested CBOR arrays, maps, or tags
StableLib is a stable library of useful TypeScript and JavaScript code. Prior to 2.0.4, the @stablelib/cbor decoder recursively processes nested CBOR arrays, maps, and tags through _decodeValue() without enforcing a maximum nesting depth. A sufficiently deep structure exhausts the JavaScript call stack, causing a decoding exception and potentially terminating an uncaught request worker or process. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.4.
Handlebars: JavaScript Injection via AST Type Confusion in compile (Program.blockParams)
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. From 4.0.0 until 4.7.10, Handlebars.compile() and Handlebars.precompile() accept pre-parsed AST objects while validating only selected PathExpression, NumberLiteral, and BooleanLiteral values. This issue bypasses the AST validation introduced in version 4.7.9 for CVE-2026-33937. An attacker who can supply an object instead of a template string can place JavaScript expressions in unchecked values such as Program.blockParams.length, a non-PathExpression parameter depth, a non-string StringLiteral.value, or a non-string PathExpression.original. The compiler emits thos

Handlebars: JavaScript Injection via Own Property Check Bypass
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. From 3.0.0 until 4.7.10, Handlebars lookupProperty returns Function.prototype.constructor before applying the prototype-access deny list because constructor is an own property of Function.prototype. When an attacker can render a controlled template with allowProtoMethodsByDefault enabled and an accessible function in the template context, the template can traverse from that function through its prototype to Function.prototype and then obtain the Function constructor through the own-property bypass. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to execute with the ser
Handlebars: JavaScript Injection via Unsafe Inline Embedding of Precompiled Templates
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. From 4.0.0 until 4.7.10, Handlebars.precompile() uses quotedString() in lib/handlebars/compiler/code-gen.js to emit static template text into generated JavaScript without escaping sequences that terminate an enclosing HTML script element. When an application precompiles attacker-controlled template text and embeds the generated source directly in an inline script element, a closing script delimiter can end the element and cause following attacker-controlled markup to be parsed and executed. Ordinary server-side rendering and precompiled templates served as external

LiquidJS: ownPropertyOnly bypass for inherited array indices in first/last/join/reverse/slice/compact, `.first`/`.last`, negative index, and for-loop iteration
LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. Prior to 10.27.2, enabling ownPropertyOnly does not consistently restrict inherited array indices because negative indexing, .first, .last, the first filter, the last filter, join, reverse, slice, compact, and for-loop iteration can read prototype-provided elements outside readJSProperty(). An attacker who can influence prototype state or inherited array-index data and cause templates to render affected operations can disclose values that ownPropertyOnly is expected to hide. Direct positive indexing and ordinary object prototype reads are blocked, but the alte
LangChain: MongoDBChatMessageHistory query injection can allow cross-session access
LangChain is a framework for building LLM-powered applications. Prior to 1.3.1, MongoDBChatMessageHistory does not enforce the documented string type for an untrusted structured session identifier at runtime, allowing the identifier to be interpreted as a MongoDB query condition rather than as a literal value when multiple users' histories are stored in a shared MongoDB collection. An attacker able to invoke chat-history operations can read, modify, or delete another user's stored conversation. Applications using authenticated, server-controlled string identifiers are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.3.1.
Quasar Framework: App Vite build cleanup can recursively remove unsafe configured output directories
Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. From 1.0.0 until 3.3.0, @quasar/app-vite recursively removed the resolved build.distDir before building without rejecting the project root, user home directory, filesystem roots, or symlink-resolved external directories. An unsafe trusted configuration can delete data writable by the build user before compilation begins. No attacker-controlled input reaches build.distDir by default, so exploitation requires compromised or less-trusted automation to influence build configuration, or a developer to run a mistaken configuration. This issue is fixed in version 3
Quasar Framework: App Vite SSR and SSG nonce attributes are not safely constrained
Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. Prior to 3.3.0, several @quasar/app-vite SSR and SSG rendering paths interpolated ssrContext.nonce directly into quoted HTML attributes. An application that derives or overrides this value with attacker-controlled data can allow a quote to terminate the nonce attribute and inject additional attributes or markup into generated HTML across development and production SSR or SSG output. Cryptographically generated base64 or base64url nonces are not affected because they lack HTML attribute delimiters. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0.
Quasar Framework: SSR/SSG dev error page discloses the full shell environment and its </script> escape is bypassable
Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. Prior to @quasar/render-ssr-error 2.2.4 and @quasar/app-vite 3.3.0, renderSSRError() in utils/render-ssr-error/src/index.js used diagnostic data from utils/render-ssr-error/src/env.js to serialize process.env, request headers, and cookies into the HTTP page returned by serve.devError(), while the development server listened on all interfaces by default. Any network-adjacent client that reaches an SSR or SSG render failure through this development-only error path can obtain shell environment secrets. The renderer escaped only one exact lowercase script closin
Quasar Framework: Development TLS private keys are cached with overly permissive filesystem permissions
Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. Prior to @quasar/ssl-certificate 2.1.0, @quasar/cli 5.0.4, and @quasar/app-vite 3.3.0, the @quasar/ssl-certificate utility cached a combined private key and certificate PEM without explicitly applying owner-only filesystem permissions. Another local user able to read the cache can copy the key and impersonate a development TLS endpoint in an environment that trusts the certificate. The generated certificate was also CA-capable, carried unnecessarily broad key usages, and encoded the IPv6 loopback address as a DNS subject alternative name. This issue is fixed
