AWS CDK CodeBuild S3 Log Encryption Boolean Inversion

    ## Summary The AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) is an open-source software development framework for defining cloud infrastructure in code and provisioning it through AWS CloudFormation. We identified an issue in which explicitly setting `encrypted: true` on the `S3LoggingOptions` property of an AWS CodeBuild project construct produces the opposite of the intended behavior, disabling encryption on CodeBuild build logs stored in S3. ## Impact The `S3LoggingOptions.encrypted` property in the `aws-codebuild` module uses positive polarity (`true` = encryption ON), but is mapped directly to the CloudFormation `S3LogsConfig.EncryptionDisabled

OS Command Injection in aws-cdk-lib Docker Bundling

OS command injection in the NodejsFunction Docker bundling pipeline (OsCommand helper) in AWS aws-cdk-lib on all platforms might allow a actor who controls dependency version strings in a project's package.json file to execute arbitrary commands on the host running the CDK toolchain via injected shell metacharacters in the OsCommand helper. This issue requires the actor to control the content of a package.json dependency version string that is processed during Docker-based bundling with nodeModules specified. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to v2.260.0.

OS Command Injection in NodejsFunction Bundling in aws-cdk-lib

OS command injection in the NodejsFunction local bundling pipeline in aws-cdk-lib before 2.245.0 (2.246.0 on Windows) might allow an actor who controls the value of one or more bundling properties (externalModules, define, loader, inject, or esbuildArgs) to execute arbitrary commands on the host running the CDK toolchain via injected shell metacharacters. This issue requires the threat actor to control the value of one or more of the affected bundling properties in the CDK application. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to aws-cdk-lib 2.245.0 (2.246.0 on Windows) or later.

aws-cdk-lib's aspect order change causes different Permissions Boundary assigned to Role

    ### Summary The [AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK)](https://aws.amazon.com/cdk/) is an open-source software development framework for defining cloud infrastructure in code and provisioning it through AWS CloudFormation. In the CDK, developers organize their applications into reusable components called "[constructs](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cdk/v2/guide/constructs.html)," which are organized into a hierarchical tree structure. One of the features of this framework is the ability to call "[Aspects](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cdk/v2/guide/aspects.html)," which are mechanisms to set configuration options for all AWS Resources in a particul

IAM OIDC custom resource allows connection to unauthorized OIDC provider in aws-cdk

The AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) is an open-source software development framework to define cloud infrastructure in code and provision it through AWS CloudFormation. Users who use IAM OIDC custom resource provider package will download CA Thumbprints as part of the custom resource workflow. However, the current `tls.connect` method will always set `rejectUnauthorized: false` which is a potential security concern. CDK should follow the best practice and set `rejectUnauthorized: true`. However, this could be a breaking change for existing CDK applications and we should fix this with a feature flag. Note that this is marked as low severit

AWS CDK EKS overly permissive trust policies

AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) is an open-source software development framework to define cloud infrastructure in code and provision it through AWS CloudFormation. In the packages `aws-cdk-lib` 2.0.0 until 2.80.0 and `@aws-cdk/aws-eks` 1.57.0 until 1.202.0, `eks.Cluster` and `eks.FargateCluster` constructs create two roles, `CreationRole` and `default MastersRole`, that have an overly permissive trust policy. The first, referred to as the `CreationRole`, is used by lambda handlers to create the cluster and deploy Kubernetes resources (e.g `KubernetesManifest`, `HelmChart`, ...) onto it. Users with CDK version higher or equal to 1.62.0
