Incomplete Fix for CVE-2025-10279: Insecure Temporary Directory Permissions in mlflow/mlflow

In mlflow/mlflow versions prior to 3.11.0, the `get_or_create_nfs_tmp_dir()` function in `mlflow/utils/file_utils.py` creates temporary directories with world-writable permissions (0o777), and the `_create_model_downloading_tmp_dir()` function in `mlflow/pyfunc/__init__.py` creates directories with group-writable permissions (0o770). These insecure permissions allow local attackers to tamper with model artifacts, such as cloudpickle-serialized Python objects, and achieve arbitrary code execution when the tampered artifacts are deserialized via `cloudpickle.load()`. This vulnerability is particularly critical in environments with shared NFS mo

Malicious dropper in mistralai 2.4.6 PyPI package

The `mistralai` PyPI package version `2.4.6` contains a malicious dropper that executes on import on Linux. No `v2.4.6` tag, commit, or release workflow run exists in this repository, the legitimate latest version before the upload was `2.4.5`, and the upload bypassed this repository's normal release pipeline (which uses PyPI Trusted Publishing). The `mistralai` PyPI project is currently quarantined. ## Affected - `mistralai==2.4.6` on PyPI. Versions `2.4.5` and earlier are not known to be affected. ## What the malicious code does A function named `_run_background_task` was added to `src/mistralai/client/__init__.py` and called at modul

eduMFA: Incorrect InnoDB snapshot isolation possibly allows token reusage

    ### Impact For deployments using MySQL or MariaDB < 11.6.2 (or newer with innodb_snapshot_isolation=off) reusage of token values might be possible due to faulty transaction isolation inside the database. Exploiting this requires racing this transaction. Affected are all tokentypes whose values are only supposed to be used once, for example TOTP, HOTP and likely also WebAuthN. #### Affected Combinations: - MySQL (any version) - MariaDB with innodb_snapshot_isolation=OFF - innodb_snapshot_isolation was introduced in: MariaDB 10.6.18, MariaDB 10.11.8, MariaDB 11.0.6, MariaDB 11.1.5, MariaDB 11.2.4, MariaDB 11.4.2 with default OFF, can b

Graphite Has a Pickle Deserialization Vulnerability

    ### Impact **Type of vulnerability:** Insecure Deserialization via Python's `pickle` module. **Who is impacted:** Users of *Graphite graph database engine* versions **before 0.2** who load database files from untrusted or third-party sources. An attacker could craft a malicious database file that executes arbitrary code when loaded by the engine. This is possible because the engine used `pickle` for serialization, which is known to be unsafe for untrusted data. ### Patches The vulnerability has been patched starting from **version 0.2**. All users should upgrade to **version 0.2 or later** (the current version is 0.4 at publishing tim

Open WebUI: SSRF via OAuth Profile Picture URL in _process_picture_url (oauth.py)

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in _process_picture_url() in backend/open_webui/utils/oauth.py (line ~1338). The function fetches arbitrary URLs from OAuth picture claims without applying validate_url(), allowing an attacker to force the server to make HTTP requests to internal resources and exfiltrate the full response. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.0.

Open WebUI: Stored XSS in excel file preview

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.8.0, Excel file attachments are previewed in an unsafe way. A crafted XLSX file payload can be used to cause the sheetjs function sheet_to_html to embed an XSS payload into the generated HTML. This is subsequently added to the DOM unsanitized via @html causing the payload to trigger. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.0.

Open WebUI: Unauthenticated endpoint can trigger embedding generation (cost/DoS)

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.8.0, GET /api/v1/memories/ef is accessible without authentication and executes request.app.state.EMBEDDING_FUNCTION(...). This allows any unauthenticated caller to trigger embedding generation which can lead to direct cost exposure if a paid provider is used. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.0.

Open WebUI: Open WebUI Arbitrary File Write, Delete via Path Traversal

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.6.10, when uploading an audio file, the name of the file is derived from the original HTTP upload request and is not validated or sanitized. This allows for users to upload files with names containing dot-segments in the file path and traverse out of the intended uploads directory. Effectively, users can upload files anywhere on the filesystem the user running the web server has permission. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.10.

Open WebUI: XSS via SVG in /api/v1/channels/webhooks/{webhook_id}/profile/image

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.3, the channel webhook create/update flow accepts arbitrary profile_image_url values, including data:image/svg+xml;base64,... payloads. The profile image endpoint then decodes and serves this SVG as image/svg+xml without sanitization, allowing attacker-controlled script handlers (for example onload) to execute when the profile-image URL is opened in the browser. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.3.

Open WebUI: Read-Only Users Can Toggle Note Pin Status via Incorrect Permission Check (Write via Read-Only Access)

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.3, the POST /api/v1/notes/{id}/pin endpoint performs a write operation (toggling the is_pinned field) but only checks for read permission. Users with read-only access to a shared note can pin/unpin it, which is a state-modifying action that should require write permission. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.3.

Open WebUI: Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) via Image URL Manipulation

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.3, an application-wide Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability was found Open-WebUl's image uploading functionality. An attacker can set an image URL to a malicious endpoint, allowing them to perform actions on behalf of a victim user. Any authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability, and any user who views the compromised image (e.g., a profile picture) will unknowingly send a GET request to the attacker-controlled URL. This can lead to cookie theft, denial of service (DoS), or other malicious actions. This vulnerabili
