parisc: led: Fix potential null-ptr-deref in start_task()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parisc: led: Fix potential null-ptr-deref in start_task() start_task() calls create_singlethread_workqueue() and not checked the ret value, which may return NULL. And a null-ptr-deref may happen: start_task() create_singlethread_workqueue() # failed, led_wq is NULL queue_delayed_work() queue_delayed_work_on() __queue_delayed_work() # warning here, but continue __queue_work() # access wq->flags, null-ptr-deref Check the ret value and return -ENOMEM if it is NULL.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: fcoe: Fix transport not deattached when fcoe_if_init() fails fcoe_init() calls fcoe_transport_attach(&fcoe_sw_transport), but when fcoe_if_init() fails, &fcoe_sw_transport is not detached and leaves freed &fcoe_sw_transport on fcoe_transports list. This causes panic when reinserting module. ACPICA: Fix error code path in acpi_ds_call_control_method()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPICA: Fix error code path in acpi_ds_call_control_method() A use-after-free in acpi_ps_parse_aml() after a failing invocaion of acpi_ds_call_control_method() is reported by KASAN [1] and code inspection reveals that next_walk_state pushed to the thread by acpi_ds_create_walk_state() is freed on errors, but it is not popped from the thread beforehand. Thus acpi_ds_get_current_walk_state() called by acpi_ps_parse_aml() subsequently returns it as the new walk state which is incorrect. To address this, make acpi_ds_call_control_method() call acpi_ds_pop_walk_state() to pop

net/tunnel: wait until all sk_user_data reader finish before releasing the sock

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/tunnel: wait until all sk_user_data reader finish before releasing the sock There is a race condition in vxlan that when deleting a vxlan device during receiving packets, there is a possibility that the sock is released after getting vxlan_sock vs from sk_user_data. md: fix a crash in mempool_free

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md: fix a crash in mempool_free There's a crash in mempool_free when running the lvm test shell/lvchange-rebuild-raid.sh. The reason for the crash is this: * super_written calls atomic_dec_and_test(&mddev->pending_writes) and wake_up(&mddev->sb_wait). Then it calls rdev_dec_pending(rdev, mddev) and bio_put(bio). * so, the process that waited on sb_wait and that is woken up is racing with bio_put(bio). * if the process wins the race, it calls bioset_exit before bio_put(bio) is executed. * bio_put(bio) attempts to free a bio into a destroyed bio set - causing a cra

btrfs: fix race between quota enable and quota rescan ioctl

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix race between quota enable and quota rescan ioctl When enabling quotas, at btrfs_quota_enable(), after committing the transaction, we change fs_info->quota_root to point to the quota root we created and set BTRFS_FS_QUOTA_ENABLED at fs_info->flags. Then we try to start the qgroup rescan worker, first by initializing it with a call to qgroup_rescan_init() - however if that fails we end up freeing the quota root but we leave fs_info->quota_root still pointing to it, this can later result in a use-after-free somewhere else. We have previously set the flags BTRFS_FS_

tty: serial: fsl_lpuart: disable dma rx/tx use flags in lpuart_dma_shutdown

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: serial: fsl_lpuart: disable dma rx/tx use flags in lpuart_dma_shutdown lpuart_dma_shutdown tears down lpuart dma, but lpuart_flush_buffer can still occur which in turn tries to access dma apis if lpuart_dma_tx_use flag is true. At this point since dma is torn down, these dma apis can abort. Set lpuart_dma_tx_use and the corresponding rx flag lpuart_dma_rx_use to false in lpuart_dma_shutdown so that dmas are not accessed after they are relinquished. Otherwise, when try to kill btattach, kernel may panic. This patch may fix this issue. root@imx8ulpevk:~# btattach -B /de

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: fix UAF/GPF bug in nilfs_mdt_destroy In alloc_inode, inode_init_always() could return -ENOMEM if security_inode_alloc() fails, which causes inode->i_private uninitialized. Then nilfs_is_metadata_file_inode() returns true and nilfs_free_inode() wrongly calls nilfs_mdt_destroy(), which frees the uninitialized inode->i_private and leads to crashes(e.g., UAF/GPF). Fix this by moving security_inode_alloc just prior to this_cpu_inc(nr_inodes)
