pinctrl: single: fix potential NULL dereference

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: single: fix potential NULL dereference Added checking of pointer "function" in pcs_set_mux(). pinmux_generic_get_function() can return NULL and the pointer "function" was dereferenced without checking against NULL. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

i2c: acpi: fix resource leak in reconfiguration device addition

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: acpi: fix resource leak in reconfiguration device addition acpi_i2c_find_adapter_by_handle() calls bus_find_device() which takes a reference on the adapter which is never released which will result in a reference count leak and render the adapter unremovable. Make sure to put the adapter after creating the client in the same manner that we do for OF. [wsa: fixed title]

    phy: mdio: fix memory leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: mdio: fix memory leak Syzbot reported memory leak in MDIO bus interface, the problem was in wrong state logic. MDIOBUS_ALLOCATED indicates 2 states: 1. Bus is only allocated 2. Bus allocated and __mdiobus_register() fails, but device_register() was called In case of device_register() has been called we should call put_device() to correctly free the memory allocated for this device, but mdiobus_free() calls just kfree(dev) in case of MDIOBUS_ALLOCATED state To avoid this behaviour we need to set bus->state to MDIOBUS_UNREGISTERED _before_ calling device_registe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: betop: fix slab-out-of-bounds Write in betop_probe Syzbot reported slab-out-of-bounds Write bug in hid-betopff driver. The problem is the driver assumes the device must have an input report but some malicious devices violate this assumption. So this patch checks hid_device's input is non empty before it's been used.

ipack: ipoctal: fix module reference leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipack: ipoctal: fix module reference leak A reference to the carrier module was taken on every open but was only released once when the final reference to the tty struct was dropped. Fix this by taking the module reference and initialising the tty driver data when installing the tty.

ipack: ipoctal: fix stack information leak

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipack: ipoctal: fix stack information leak The tty driver name is used also after registering the driver and must specifically not be allocated on the stack to avoid leaking information to user space (or triggering an oops). Drivers should not try to encode topology information in the tty device name but this one snuck in through staging without anyone noticing and another driver has since copied this malpractice. Fixing the ABI is a separate issue, but this at least plugs the security hole.

    mac80211: fix use-after-free in CCMP/GCMP RX

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac80211: fix use-after-free in CCMP/GCMP RX When PN checking is done in mac80211, for fragmentation we need to copy the PN to the RX struct so we can later use it to do a comparison, since commit bf30ca922a0c ("mac80211: check defrag PN against current frame"). Unfortunately, in that commit I used the 'hdr' variable without it being necessarily valid, so use-after-free could occur if it was necessary to reallocate (parts of) the frame. Fix this by reloading the variable after the code that results in the reallocations, if any. This fixes https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show

tty: Fix out-of-bound vmalloc access in imageblit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: Fix out-of-bound vmalloc access in imageblit This issue happens when a userspace program does an ioctl FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO passing the fb_var_screeninfo struct containing only the fields xres, yres, and bits_per_pixel with values. If this struct is the same as the previous ioctl, the vc_resize() detects it and doesn't call the resize_screen(), leaving the fb_var_screeninfo incomplete. And this leads to the updatescrollmode() calculates a wrong value to fbcon_display->vrows, which makes the real_y() return a wrong value of y, and that value, eventually, causes the imag

irqchip/gic-v3-its: Fix potential VPE leak on error

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irqchip/gic-v3-its: Fix potential VPE leak on error In its_vpe_irq_domain_alloc, when its_vpe_init() returns an error, there is an off-by-one in the number of VPEs to be freed. Fix it by simply passing the number of VPEs allocated, which is the index of the loop iterating over the VPEs. [maz: fixed commit message]

mcb: fix error handling in mcb_alloc_bus()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mcb: fix error handling in mcb_alloc_bus() There are two bugs: 1) If ida_simple_get() fails then this code calls put_device(carrier) but we haven't yet called get_device(carrier) and probably that leads to a use after free. 2) After device_initialize() then we need to use put_device() to release the bus. This will free the internal resources tied to the device and call mcb_free_bus() which will free the rest.
