net: amd-xgbe: Fix skb data length underflow

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: amd-xgbe: Fix skb data length underflow There will be BUG_ON() triggered in include/linux/skbuff.h leading to intermittent kernel panic, when the skb length underflow is detected. Fix this by dropping the packet if such length underflows are seen because of inconsistencies in the hardware descriptors.

rtnetlink: make sure to refresh master_dev/m_ops in __rtnl_newlink()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rtnetlink: make sure to refresh master_dev/m_ops in __rtnl_newlink() While looking at one unrelated syzbot bug, I found the replay logic in __rtnl_newlink() to potentially trigger use-after-free. It is better to clear master_dev and m_ops inside the loop, in case we have to replay it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: ops: Reject out of bounds values in snd_soc_put_volsw() We don't currently validate that the values being set are within the range we advertised to userspace as being valid, do so and reject any values that are out of range.

btrfs: fix deadlock between quota disable and qgroup rescan worker

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix deadlock between quota disable and qgroup rescan worker Quota disable ioctl starts a transaction before waiting for the qgroup rescan worker completes. However, this wait can be infinite and results in deadlock because of circular dependency among the quota disable ioctl, the qgroup rescan worker and the other task with transaction such as block group relocation task. The deadlock happens with the steps following: 1) Task A calls ioctl to disable quota. It starts a transaction and waits for qgroup rescan worker completes. 2) Task B such as block group reloca

drm/nouveau: fix off by one in BIOS boundary checking

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau: fix off by one in BIOS boundary checking Bounds checking when parsing init scripts embedded in the BIOS reject access to the last byte. This causes driver initialization to fail on Apple eMac's with GeForce 2 MX GPUs, leaving the system with no working console. This is probably only seen on OpenFirmware machines like PowerPC Macs because the BIOS image provided by OF is only the used parts of the ROM, not a power-of-two blocks read from PCI directly so PCs always have empty bytes at the end that are never accessed.

mm/kmemleak: avoid scanning potential huge holes

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/kmemleak: avoid scanning potential huge holes When using devm_request_free_mem_region() and devm_memremap_pages() to add ZONE_DEVICE memory, if requested free mem region's end pfn were huge(e.g., 0x400000000), the node_end_pfn() will be also huge (see move_pfn_range_to_zone()). Thus it creates a huge hole between node_start_pfn() and node_end_pfn(). We found on some AMD APUs, amdkfd requested such a free mem region and created a huge hole. In such a case, following code snippet was just doing busy test_bit() looping on the huge hole. for (pfn = start_pfn; pfn < end

iommu/vt-d: Fix potential memory leak in intel_setup_irq_remapping()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Fix potential memory leak in intel_setup_irq_remapping() After commit e3beca48a45b ("irqdomain/treewide: Keep firmware node unconditionally allocated"). For tear down scenario, fn is only freed after fail to allocate ir_domain, though it also should be freed in case dmar_enable_qi returns error. Besides free fn, irq_domain and ir_msi_domain need to be removed as well if intel_setup_irq_remapping fails to enable queued invalidation. Improve the rewinding path by add out_free_ir_domain and out_free_fwnode lables per Baolu's suggestion.

    net: ieee802154: ca8210: Stop leaking skb's

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ieee802154: ca8210: Stop leaking skb's Upon error the ieee802154_xmit_complete() helper is not called. Only ieee802154_wake_queue() is called manually. We then leak the skb structure. Free the skb structure upon error before returning.

tipc: improve size validations for received domain records

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: improve size validations for received domain records The function tipc_mon_rcv() allows a node to receive and process domain_record structs from peer nodes to track their views of the network topology. This patch verifies that the number of members in a received domain record does not exceed the limit defined by MAX_MON_DOMAIN, something that may otherwise lead to a stack overflow. tipc_mon_rcv() is called from the function tipc_link_proto_rcv(), where we are reading a 32 bit message data length field into a uint16. To avert any risk of bit overflow, we add an extr

audit: improve robustness of the audit queue handling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: audit: improve robustness of the audit queue handling If the audit daemon were ever to get stuck in a stopped state the kernel's kauditd_thread() could get blocked attempting to send audit records to the userspace audit daemon. With the kernel thread blocked it is possible that the audit queue could grow unbounded as certain audit record generating events must be exempt from the queue limits else the system enter a deadlock state. This patch resolves this problem by lowering the kernel thread's socket sending timeout from MAX_SCHEDULE_TIMEOUT to HZ/10 and tweaks the kaudi

mac80211: track only QoS data frames for admission control

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac80211: track only QoS data frames for admission control For admission control, obviously all of that only works for QoS data frames, otherwise we cannot even access the QoS field in the header. Syzbot reported (see below) an uninitialized value here due to a status of a non-QoS nullfunc packet, which isn't even long enough to contain the QoS header. Fix this to only do anything for QoS data packets.
