crypto: api - Use work queue in crypto_destroy_instance

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: api - Use work queue in crypto_destroy_instance The function crypto_drop_spawn expects to be called in process context. However, when an instance is unregistered while it still has active users, the last user may cause the instance to be freed in atomic context. Fix this by delaying the freeing to a work queue.

ethtool: Fix uninitialized number of lanes

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethtool: Fix uninitialized number of lanes It is not possible to set the number of lanes when setting link modes using the legacy IOCTL ethtool interface. Since 'struct ethtool_link_ksettings' is not initialized in this path, drivers receive an uninitialized number of lanes in 'struct ethtool_link_ksettings::lanes'. When this information is later queried from drivers, it results in the ethtool code making decisions based on uninitialized memory, leading to the following KMSAN splat [1]. In practice, this most likely only happens with the tun driver that simply returns what

HID: wacom: Use ktime_t rather than int when dealing with timestamps

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: wacom: Use ktime_t rather than int when dealing with timestamps Code which interacts with timestamps needs to use the ktime_t type returned by functions like ktime_get. The int type does not offer enough space to store these values, and attempting to use it is a recipe for problems. In this particular case, overflows would occur when calculating/storing timestamps leading to incorrect values being reported to userspace. In some cases these bad timestamps cause input handling in userspace to appear hung.

f2fs: fix information leak in f2fs_move_inline_dirents()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix information leak in f2fs_move_inline_dirents() When converting an inline directory to a regular one, f2fs is leaking uninitialized memory to disk because it doesn't initialize the entire directory block. Fix this by zero-initializing the block. This bug was introduced by commit 4ec17d688d74 ("f2fs: avoid unneeded initializing when converting inline dentry"), which didn't consider the security implications of leaking uninitialized memory to disk. This was found by running xfstest generic/435 on a KMSAN-enabled kernel.

dccp: Fix out of bounds access in DCCP error handler

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dccp: Fix out of bounds access in DCCP error handler There was a previous attempt to fix an out-of-bounds access in the DCCP error handlers, but that fix assumed that the error handlers only want to access the first 8 bytes of the DCCP header. Actually, they also look at the DCCP sequence number, which is stored beyond 8 bytes, so an explicit pskb_may_pull() is required.

mmc: atmel-mci: fix return value check of mmc_add_host()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: atmel-mci: fix return value check of mmc_add_host() mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, it will lead two issues: 1. The memory that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() is leaked. 2. In the remove() path, mmc_remove_host() will be called to delete device, but it's not added yet, it will lead a kernel crash because of null-ptr-deref in device_del(). So fix this by checking the return value and calling mmc_free_host() in the error path.

bpf: Fix reference state management for synchronous callbacks

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix reference state management for synchronous callbacks Currently, verifier verifies callback functions (sync and async) as if they will be executed once, (i.e. it explores execution state as if the function was being called once). The next insn to explore is set to start of subprog and the exit from nested frame is handled using curframe > 0 and prepare_func_exit. In case of async callback it uses a customized variant of push_stack simulating a kind of branch to set up custom state and execution context for the async callback. While this approach is simple and works

scsi: hpsa: Fix possible memory leak in hpsa_init_one()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: hpsa: Fix possible memory leak in hpsa_init_one() The hpda_alloc_ctlr_info() allocates h and its field reply_map. However, in hpsa_init_one(), if alloc_percpu() failed, the hpsa_init_one() jumps to clean1 directly, which frees h and leaks the h->reply_map. Fix by calling hpda_free_ctlr_info() to release h->replay_map and h instead free h directly.
