    gfs2: Fix potential glock use-after-free on unmount

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: Fix potential glock use-after-free on unmount When a DLM lockspace is released and there ares still locks in that lockspace, DLM will unlock those locks automatically. Commit fb6791d100d1b started exploiting this behavior to speed up filesystem unmount: gfs2 would simply free glocks it didn't want to unlock and then release the lockspace. This didn't take the bast callbacks for asynchronous lock contention notifications into account, which remain active until until a lock is unlocked or its lockspace is released. To prevent those callbacks from accessing deallocate

    wifi: carl9170: add a proper sanity check for endpoints

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: carl9170: add a proper sanity check for endpoints Syzkaller reports [1] hitting a warning which is caused by presence of a wrong endpoint type at the URB sumbitting stage. While there was a check for a specific 4th endpoint, since it can switch types between bulk and interrupt, other endpoints are trusted implicitly. Similar warning is triggered in a couple of other syzbot issues [2]. Fix the issue by doing a comprehensive check of all endpoints taking into account difference between high- and full-speed configuration. [1] Syzkaller report: ... WARNING: CPU: 0 PID:

    scsi: bfa: Ensure the copied buf is NUL terminated

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: bfa: Ensure the copied buf is NUL terminated Currently, we allocate a nbytes-sized kernel buffer and copy nbytes from userspace to that buffer. Later, we use sscanf on this buffer but we don't ensure that the string is terminated inside the buffer, this can lead to OOB read when using sscanf. Fix this issue by using memdup_user_nul instead of memdup_user.

    net: openvswitch: fix overwriting ct original tuple for ICMPv6

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: openvswitch: fix overwriting ct original tuple for ICMPv6 OVS_PACKET_CMD_EXECUTE has 3 main attributes: - OVS_PACKET_ATTR_KEY - Packet metadata in a netlink format. - OVS_PACKET_ATTR_PACKET - Binary packet content. - OVS_PACKET_ATTR_ACTIONS - Actions to execute on the packet. OVS_PACKET_ATTR_KEY is parsed first to populate sw_flow_key structure with the metadata like conntrack state, input port, recirculation id, etc. Then the packet itself gets parsed to populate the rest of the keys from the packet headers. Whenever the packet parsing code starts parsing the IC

    net: fec: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fec: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks There is a deadlock issue found in sungem driver, please refer to the commit ac0a230f719b ("eth: sungem: remove .ndo_poll_controller to avoid deadlocks"). The root cause of the issue is that netpoll is in atomic context and disable_irq() is called by .ndo_poll_controller interface of sungem driver, however, disable_irq() might sleep. After analyzing the implementation of fec_poll_controller(), the fec driver should have the same issue. Due to the fec driver uses NAPI for TX completions, the .ndo_poll_controller is unn

    drm/amd/display: Fix potential index out of bounds in color transformation function

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix potential index out of bounds in color transformation function Fixes index out of bounds issue in the color transformation function. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, an error message is logged and the function returns false to indicate an error. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Add 0 size check to mtk_drm_gem_obj Add a check to mtk_drm_gem_init if we attempt to allocate a GEM object of 0 bytes. Currently, no such check exists and the kernel will panic if a userspace application attempts to allocate a 0x0 GBM buffer. Tested by attempting to allocate a 0x0 GBM buffer on an MT8188 and verifying that we now return EINVAL.

    RDMA/rxe: Fix seg fault in rxe_comp_queue_pkt

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix seg fault in rxe_comp_queue_pkt In rxe_comp_queue_pkt() an incoming response packet skb is enqueued to the resp_pkts queue and then a decision is made whether to run the completer task inline or schedule it. Finally the skb is dereferenced to bump a 'hw' performance counter. This is wrong because if the completer task is already running in a separate thread it may have already processed the skb and freed it which can cause a seg fault. This has been observed infrequently in testing at high scale. This patch fixes this by changing the order of enqueuing the p

    net/sched: taprio: always validate TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_PRIOMAP

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: taprio: always validate TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_PRIOMAP If one TCA_TAPRIO_ATTR_PRIOMAP attribute has been provided, taprio_parse_mqprio_opt() must validate it, or userspace can inject arbitrary data to the kernel, the second time taprio_change() is called. First call (with valid attributes) sets dev->num_tc to a non zero value. Second call (with arbitrary mqprio attributes) returns early from taprio_parse_mqprio_opt() and bad things can happen.

    net: fix __dst_negative_advice() race

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix __dst_negative_advice() race __dst_negative_advice() does not enforce proper RCU rules when sk->dst_cache must be cleared, leading to possible UAF. RCU rules are that we must first clear sk->sk_dst_cache, then call dst_release(old_dst). Note that sk_dst_reset(sk) is implementing this protocol correctly, while __dst_negative_advice() uses the wrong order. Given that ip6_negative_advice() has special logic against RTF_CACHE, this means each of the three ->negative_advice() existing methods must perform the sk_dst_reset() themselves. Note the check against NULL ds

    Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix div-by-zero in l2cap_le_flowctl_init()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix div-by-zero in l2cap_le_flowctl_init() l2cap_le_flowctl_init() can cause both div-by-zero and an integer overflow since hdev->le_mtu may not fall in the valid range. Move MTU from hci_dev to hci_conn to validate MTU and stop the connection process earlier if MTU is invalid. Also, add a missing validation in read_buffer_size() and make it return an error value if the validation fails. Now hci_conn_add() returns ERR_PTR() as it can fail due to the both a kzalloc failure and invalid MTU value. divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN NOPTI CPU: 0 PID:

The length of the drm_event was set to the parent structure instead of to the drm_vmw_event_fence which is supposed to be read. drm_read uses the length parameter to copy the event to the user space thus resuling in oob reads.

    KVM: arm64: vgic-v2: Check for non-NULL vCPU in vgic_v2_parse_attr()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: vgic-v2: Check for non-NULL vCPU in vgic_v2_parse_attr() vgic_v2_parse_attr() is responsible for finding the vCPU that matches the user-provided CPUID, which (of course) may not be valid. If the ID is invalid, kvm_get_vcpu_by_id() returns NULL, which isn't handled gracefully. Similar to the GICv3 uaccess flow, check that kvm_get_vcpu_by_id() actually returns something and fail the ioctl if not.
