In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix a null pointer access when the smc_rreg pointer is NULL In certain types of chips, such as VEGA20, reading the amdgpu_regs_smc file could result in an abnormal null pointer access when the smc_rreg pointer is NULL. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/vkms: fix a possible null pointer dereference In amdgpu_vkms_conn_get_modes(), the return value of drm_cvt_mode() is assigned to mode, which will lead to a NULL pointer dereference on failure of drm_cvt_mode(). Add a check to avoid null pointer dereference.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: ibmvfc: Remove BUG_ON in the case of an empty event pool In practice the driver should never send more commands than are allocated to a queue's event pool. In the unlikely event that this happens, the code asserts a BUG_ON, and in the case that the kernel is not configured to crash on panic returns a junk event pointer from the empty event list causing things to spiral from there. This BUG_ON is a historical artifact of the ibmvfc driver first being upstreamed, and it is well known now that the use of BUG_ON is bad practice except in the most unrecoverable scenario. T
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/jfs: Add check for negative db_l2nbperpage l2nbperpage is log2(number of blks per page), and the minimum legal value should be 0, not negative. In the case of l2nbperpage being negative, an error will occur when subsequently used as shift exponent. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libfc: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference in fc_lport_ptp_setup() fc_lport_ptp_setup() did not check the return value of fc_rport_create() which can return NULL and would cause a NULL pointer dereference. Address this issue by checking return value of fc_rport_create() and log error message on fc_rport_create() failed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda: Fix possible null-ptr-deref when assigning a stream While AudioDSP drivers assign streams exclusively of HOST or LINK type, nothing blocks a user to attempt to assign a COUPLED stream. As supplied substream instance may be a stub, what is the case when code-loading, such scenario ends with null-ptr-deref.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/jfs: Add validity check for db_maxag and db_agpref Both db_maxag and db_agpref are used as the index of the db_agfree array, but there is currently no validity check for db_maxag and db_agpref, which can lead to errors. The following is related bug reported by Syzbot: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c:639:20 index 7936 is out of range for type 'atomic_t[128]' Add checking that the values of db_maxag and db_agpref are valid indexes for the db_agfree array.

In some special scenarios, when kernel frees the pipefs sb of the current client and immediately alloctes a new pipefs sb, rpc_remove_pipedir function would misjudge the existence of pipefs sb which is not the one it used to hold. Mark the code in question as an RCU read-side critical section to avoid any potential use-after-free issues. Compile tested only.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix array-index-out-of-bounds in dbFindLeaf Currently while searching for dmtree_t for sufficient free blocks there is an array out of bounds while getting element in tp->dm_stree. To add the required check for out of bound we first need to determine the type of dmtree. Thus added an extra parameter to dbFindLeaf so that the type of tree can be determined and the required check can be applied.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvlan: add ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() helper Inspired by syzbot reports using a stack of multiple ipvlan devices. Reduce stack size needed in ipvlan_process_v6_outbound() by moving the flowi6 struct used for the route lookup in an non inlined helper. ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() needs 120 bytes on the stack, immediately reclaimed. Also make sure ipvlan_process_v4_outbound() is not inlined. We might also have to lower MAX_NEST_DEV, because only syzbot uses setups with more than four stacked devices. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: core: Run atomic i2c xfer when !preemptible Since bae1d3a05a8b, i2c transfers are non-atomic if preemption is disabled. However, non-atomic i2c transfers require preemption (e.g. in wait_for_completion() while waiting for the DMA). panic() calls preempt_disable_notrace() before calling emergency_restart(). Therefore, if an i2c device is used for the restart, the xfer should be atomic.
