xfrm/compat: prevent potential spectre v1 gadget in xfrm_xlate32_attr()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm/compat: prevent potential spectre v1 gadget in xfrm_xlate32_attr() int type = nla_type(nla); if (type > XFRMA_MAX) { return -EOPNOTSUPP; } @type is then used as an array index and can be used as a Spectre v1 gadget. if (nla_len(nla) < compat_policy[type].len) { array_index_nospec() can be used to prevent leaking content of kernel memory to malicious users.

IB/IPoIB: Fix legacy IPoIB due to wrong number of queues

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/IPoIB: Fix legacy IPoIB due to wrong number of queues The cited commit creates child PKEY interfaces over netlink will multiple tx and rx queues, but some devices doesn't support more than 1 tx and 1 rx queues. This causes to a crash when traffic is sent over the PKEY interface due to the parent having a single queue but the child having multiple queues. This patch fixes the number of queues to 1 for legacy IPoIB at the earliest possible point in time. ice: Do not use WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag for workqueue

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: Do not use WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag for workqueue When both ice and the irdma driver are loaded, a warning in check_flush_dependency is being triggered. This is due to ice driver workqueue being allocated with the WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag and the irdma one is not. According to kernel documentation, this flag should be set if the workqueue will be involved in the kernel's memory reclamation flow. Since it is not, there is no need for the ice driver's WQ to have this flag set so remove it. Example trace: [ +0.000004] workqueue: WQ_MEM_RECLAIM ice:ice_service_task [ice] is flus

powerpc/64s/interrupt: Fix interrupt exit race with security mitigation switch

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/64s/interrupt: Fix interrupt exit race with security mitigation switch The RFI and STF security mitigation options can flip the interrupt_exit_not_reentrant static branch condition concurrently with the interrupt exit code which tests that branch. Interrupt exit tests this condition to set MSR[EE|RI] for exit, then again in the case a soft-masked interrupt is found pending, to recover the MSR so the interrupt can be replayed before attempting to exit again. If the condition changes between these two tests, the MSR and irq soft-mask state will become corrupted, lead

    drm/amdgpu/fence: Fix oops due to non-matching drm_sched init/fini

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/fence: Fix oops due to non-matching drm_sched init/fini Currently amdgpu calls drm_sched_fini() from the fence driver sw fini routine - such function is expected to be called only after the respective init function - drm_sched_init() - was executed successfully. Happens that we faced a driver probe failure in the Steam Deck recently, and the function drm_sched_fini() was called even without its counter-part had been previously called, causing the following oops: amdgpu: probe of 0000:04:00.0 failed with error -110 BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address:

ALSA: hda: Do not unset preset when cleaning up codec

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda: Do not unset preset when cleaning up codec Several functions that take part in codec's initialization and removal are re-used by ASoC codec drivers implementations. Drivers mimic the behavior of hda_codec_driver_probe/remove() found in sound/pci/hda/hda_bind.c with their component->probe/remove() instead. One of the reasons for that is the expectation of snd_hda_codec_device_new() to receive a valid pointer to an instance of struct snd_card. This expectation can be met only once sound card components probing commences. As ASoC sound card may be unbound without

To fix these leaks, make sdio_func_present() only control whether device_del() needs to be called or not, then always call of_node_put() and put_device(). In error case in sdio_init_func(), the reference of 'card->dev' is not get, to avoid redundant put in sdio_free_func_cis(), move the get_device() to sdio_alloc_

Therefore, when using this macro, it is necessary to check in advance that the device size is not less than a lower limit, or at least that underflow does not occur. The current nilfs2 implementation lacks this check, causing out-of-bound block access when mounting devices smaller than 4096 bytes: I/O error, dev loop0, sector 36028797018963960 op 0x0:(READ) f

    net/usb: kalmia: Don't pass act_len in usb_bulk_msg error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/usb: kalmia: Don't pass act_len in usb_bulk_msg error path syzbot reported that act_len in kalmia_send_init_packet() is uninitialized when passing it to the first usb_bulk_msg error path. Jiri Pirko noted that it's pointless to pass it in the error path, and that the value that would be printed in the second error path would be the value of act_len from the first call to usb_bulk_msg.[1] With this in mind, let's just not pass act_len to the usb_bulk_msg error paths. 1: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/Y9pY61y1nwTuzMOa@nanopsycho/
