ipmr: do not call mr_mfc_uses_dev() for unres entries

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmr: do not call mr_mfc_uses_dev() for unres entries syzbot found that calling mr_mfc_uses_dev() for unres entries would crash [1], because c->mfc_un.res.minvif / c->mfc_un.res.maxvif alias to "struct sk_buff_head unresolved", which contain two pointers. This code never worked, lets remove it. net: davicom: fix UAF in dm9000_drv_remove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: davicom: fix UAF in dm9000_drv_remove dm is netdev private data and it cannot be used after free_netdev() call. Using dm after free_netdev() can cause UAF bug. Fix it by moving free_netdev() at the end of the function. This is similar to the issue fixed in commit ad297cd2db89 ("net: qcom/emac: fix UAF in emac_remove"). This bug is detected by our static analysis tool.

net/rose: prevent integer overflows in rose_setsockopt()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rose: prevent integer overflows in rose_setsockopt() In case of possible unpredictably large arguments passed to rose_setsockopt() and multiplied by extra values on top of that, integer overflows may occur. Do the safest minimum and fix these issues by checking the contents of 'opt' and returning -EINVAL if they are too large. Also, switch to unsigned int and remove useless check for negative 'opt' in ROSE_IDLE case.

net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking Syzkaller reports [1] encountering a common issue of utilizing a wrong usb endpoint type during URB submitting stage. This, in turn, triggers a warning shown below. For now, enable simple endpoint checking (specifically, bulk and interrupt eps, testing control one is not essential) to mitigate the issue with a view to do other related cosmetic changes later, if they are necessary. mptcp: consolidate suboption status

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: consolidate suboption status MPTCP maintains the received sub-options status is the bitmask carrying the received suboptions and in several bitfields carrying per suboption additional info. Zeroing the bitmask before parsing is not enough to ensure a consistent status, and the MPTCP code has to additionally clear some bitfiled depending on the actually parsed suboption. The above schema is fragile, and syzbot managed to trigger a path where a relevant bitfield is not cleared/initialized: BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in __mptcp_expand_seq net/mptcp/options.c:1030 [in

HID: core: Fix assumption that Resolution Multipliers must be in Logical Collections

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: core: Fix assumption that Resolution Multipliers must be in Logical Collections A report in 2019 by the syzbot fuzzer was found to be connected to two errors in the HID core associated with Resolution Multipliers. One of the errors was fixed by commit ea427a222d8b ("HID: core: Fix deadloop in hid_apply_multiplier."), but the other has not been fixed. This error arises because hid_apply_multipler() assumes that every Resolution Multiplier control is contained in a Logical Collection, i.e., there's no way the routine can ever set multiplier_collection to NULL. This is

usb: xhci: Fix NULL pointer dereference on certain command aborts

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: xhci: Fix NULL pointer dereference on certain command aborts If a command is queued to the final usable TRB of a ring segment, the enqueue pointer is advanced to the subsequent link TRB and no further. If the command is later aborted, when the abort completion is handled the dequeue pointer is advanced to the first TRB of the next segment. If no further commands are queued, xhci_handle_stopped_cmd_ring() sees the ring pointers unequal and assumes that there is a pending command, so it calls xhci_mod_cmd_timer() which crashes if cur_cmd was NULL. Don't attempt timer s

media: uvcvideo: Fix double free in error path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: uvcvideo: Fix double free in error path If the uvc_status_init() function fails to allocate the int_urb, it will free the dev->status pointer but doesn't reset the pointer to NULL. This results in the kfree() call in uvc_status_cleanup() trying to double-free the memory. Fix it by resetting the dev->status pointer to NULL after freeing it. The other conditions check for both error pointers and NULL, but it would be more clear to use the IS_ERR_OR_NULL() check for that.

rdma/cxgb4: Prevent potential integer overflow on 32bit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rdma/cxgb4: Prevent potential integer overflow on 32bit The "gl->tot_len" variable is controlled by the user. It comes from process_responses(). On 32bit systems, the "gl->tot_len + sizeof(struct cpl_pass_accept_req) + sizeof(struct rss_header)" addition could have an integer wrapping bug. sock: redo the psock vs ULP protection check

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sock: redo the psock vs ULP protection check Commit 8a59f9d1e3d4 ("sock: Introduce sk->sk_prot->psock_update_sk_prot()") has moved the inet_csk_has_ulp(sk) check from sk_psock_init() to the new tcp_bpf_update_proto() function. I'm guessing that this was done to allow creating psocks for non-inet sockets. Unfortunately the destruction path for psock includes the ULP unwind, so we need to fail the sk_psock_init() itself. Otherwise if ULP is already present we'll notice that later, and call tcp_update_ulp() with the sk_proto of the ULP itself, which will most likely result in

ata: libata-core: fix NULL pointer deref in ata_host_alloc_pinfo()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: libata-core: fix NULL pointer deref in ata_host_alloc_pinfo() In an unlikely (and probably wrong?) case that the 'ppi' parameter of ata_host_alloc_pinfo() points to an array starting with a NULL pointer, there's going to be a kernel oops as the 'pi' local variable won't get reassigned from the initial value of NULL. Initialize 'pi' instead to '&ata_dummy_port_info' to fix the possible kernel oops for good... Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with the SVACE static analysis tool.

nfc: nfcmrvl: Fix memory leak in nfcmrvl_play_deferred

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nfcmrvl: Fix memory leak in nfcmrvl_play_deferred Similar to the handling of play_deferred in commit 19cfe912c37b ("Bluetooth: btusb: Fix memory leak in play_deferred"), we thought a patch might be needed here as well. Currently usb_submit_urb is called directly to submit deferred tx urbs after unanchor them. So the usb_giveback_urb_bh would failed to unref it in usb_unanchor_urb and cause memory leak. Put those urbs in tx_anchor to avoid the leak, and also fix the error handling.

    clocksource: hyper-v: unexport __init-annotated hv_init_clocksource()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clocksource: hyper-v: unexport __init-annotated hv_init_clocksource() EXPORT_SYMBOL and __init is a bad combination because the .init.text section is freed up after the initialization. Hence, modules cannot use symbols annotated __init. The access to a freed symbol may end up with kernel panic. modpost used to detect it, but it has been broken for a decade. Recently, I fixed modpost so it started to warn it again, then this showed up in linux-next builds. There are two ways to fix it: - Remove __init - Remove EXPORT_SYMBOL I chose the latter for this case because t
