    ieee802154: ca8210: Fix a potential UAF in ca8210_probe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ieee802154: ca8210: Fix a potential UAF in ca8210_probe If of_clk_add_provider() fails in ca8210_register_ext_clock(), it calls clk_unregister() to release priv->clk and returns an error. However, the caller ca8210_probe() then calls ca8210_remove(), where priv->clk is freed again in ca8210_unregister_ext_clock(). In this case, a use-after-free may happen in the second time we call clk_unregister(). Fix this by removing the first clk_unregister(). Also, priv->clk could be an error code on failure of clk_register_fixed_rate(). Use IS_ERR_OR_NULL to catch this case in ca8210

ravb: Fix use-after-free issue in ravb_tx_timeout_work()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ravb: Fix use-after-free issue in ravb_tx_timeout_work() The ravb_stop() should call cancel_work_sync(). Otherwise, ravb_tx_timeout_work() is possible to use the freed priv after ravb_remove() was called like below: CPU0 CPU1 ravb_tx_timeout() ravb_remove() unregister_netdev() free_netdev(ndev) // free priv ravb_tx_timeout_work() // use priv unregister_netdev() will call .ndo_stop() so that ravb_stop() is called. And, after phy_stop() is called, netif_carrier_off() is also called. So that .ndo_tx_timeout() will not be called after phy_stop().

nfc: nci: assert requested protocol is valid

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: assert requested protocol is valid The protocol is used in a bit mask to determine if the protocol is supported. Assert the provided protocol is less than the maximum defined so it doesn't potentially perform a shift-out-of-bounds and provide a clearer error for undefined protocols vs unsupported ones.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/alternatives: Disable KASAN in apply_alternatives() Fei has reported that KASAN triggers during apply_alternatives() on a 5-level paging machine: BUG: KASAN: out-of-bounds in rcu_is_watching() Read of size 4 at addr ff110003ee6419a0 by task swapper/0/0 ... __asan_load4() rcu_is_watching() trace_hardirqs_on() text_poke_early() apply_alternatives() ... On machines with 5-level paging, cpu_feature_enabled(X86_FEATURE_LA57) gets patched. It includes KASAN code, where KASAN_SHADOW_START depends on __VIRTUAL_MASK_SHIFT, which is defined with cpu_feature_enabled().

net: nfc: fix races in nfc_llcp_sock_get() and nfc_llcp_sock_get_sn()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: nfc: fix races in nfc_llcp_sock_get() and nfc_llcp_sock_get_sn() Sili Luo reported a race in nfc_llcp_sock_get(), leading to UAF. Getting a reference on the socket found in a lookup while holding a lock should happen before releasing the lock. nfc_llcp_sock_get_sn() has a similar problem. Finally nfc_llcp_recv_snl() needs to make sure the socket found by nfc_llcp_sock_from_sn() does not disappear.

vt: fix memory overlapping when deleting chars in the buffer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vt: fix memory overlapping when deleting chars in the buffer A memory overlapping copy occurs when deleting a long line. This memory overlapping copy can cause data corruption when scr_memcpyw is optimized to memcpy because memcpy does not ensure its behavior if the destination buffer overlaps with the source buffer. The line buffer is not always broken, because the memcpy utilizes the hardware acceleration, whose result is not deterministic. Fix this problem by using replacing the scr_memcpyw with scr_memmovew.

drm: bridge/panel: Cleanup connector on bridge detach

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm: bridge/panel: Cleanup connector on bridge detach If we don't call drm_connector_cleanup() manually in panel_bridge_detach(), the connector will be cleaned up with the other DRM objects in the call to drm_mode_config_cleanup(). However, since our drm_connector is devm-allocated, by the time drm_mode_config_cleanup() will be called, our connector will be long gone. Therefore, the connector must be cleaned up when the bridge is detached to avoid use-after-free conditions. v2: Cleanup connector only if it was created v3: Add FIXME v4: (Use connector->dev) directly in if

KVM: Stop looking for coalesced MMIO zones if the bus is destroyed

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: Stop looking for coalesced MMIO zones if the bus is destroyed Abort the walk of coalesced MMIO zones if kvm_io_bus_unregister_dev() fails to allocate memory for the new instance of the bus. If it can't instantiate a new bus, unregister_dev() destroys all devices _except_ the target device. But, it doesn't tell the caller that it obliterated the bus and invoked the destructor for all devices that were on the bus. In the coalesced MMIO case, this can result in a deleted list entry dereference due to attempting to continue iterating on coalesced_zones after future ent

regmap: set debugfs_name to NULL after it is freed

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regmap: set debugfs_name to NULL after it is freed There is a upstream commit cffa4b2122f5("regmap:debugfs: Fix a memory leak when calling regmap_attach_dev") that adds a if condition when create name for debugfs_name. With below function invoking logical, debugfs_name is freed in regmap_debugfs_exit(), but it is not created again because of the if condition introduced by above commit. regmap_reinit_cache() regmap_debugfs_exit() ... regmap_debugfs_init() So, set debugfs_name to NULL after it is freed.

Thus require write permission. Depending on the hardware MEMLOCK might even be write-once, e.g. for SPI-NOR flashes with their WP# tied to GND. OTPLOCK is always write-once. MEMSETBADBLOCK modifies the bad block table.
